The staff are incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about conservation, providing fascinating insights into the different species and their behaviors. One of the best parts was the hands-on experience—I got to hold an owl, and it was unforgettable! The academy isn’t just about owls; they also have other birds of prey and even some friendly meerkats. The setting is lovely, with a peaceful, natural environment that allows you to really appreciate the beauty of these creatures. It’s a great activity for both kids and adults, and I would highly recommend booking a flying experience if you get the chance. I visited this church last month as this was the church I was Christened in 61 years ago. very quaint in a lovely old village amongst the Kent countryside

There is a very old church in Maidstone. The bell rings every twelve o'clock. There is a bridge nearby that leads directly to the park and parking lot. The parking lot is free on Sundays. There are people playing table tennis and children's play facilities in the park. There are also people fishing and taking boat trips under the bridge.

The ruins of this small Norman keep, built in the second half of the 12th century, are all that remains of what was once a strongly defended castle. It was owned from 1238 by Simon de Montfort, who led the baronial rebellion against Henry IIII and was killed at the Battle of Evesham in 1265. Henry III then gave the castle to his half-brother William de Valence, as a reward for his loyalty during the rebellion. Sutton Valence Castle was owned by a succession of important medieval lords. The castle was located in a strong position, overlooking the road from Maidstone to Winchelsea, and dominating the Weald of Kent. There are dramatic, panoramic views from the castle over East Sussex and the Weald of Kent. #castle #unitedkingdom
