You can take a ferry either from Eminonu or Karakoy to Kadikoy or Uskudar districts on the Asian side. 2. During my recent visit to Turkey, I noticed that prices in the European side have indeed increased significantly due to inflation. However, I had the opportunity to explore the Asian side this time and discovered a real price difference between the two areas. 😂 To get to the Asian side, you need to take a ferry or the underwater tunnel tram (I recommend the tram, which is much cheaper). However, Istanbul's transportation system is quite complex, so it's important to do your research before leaving to avoid running around the city. The pace of life in the Asian side feels more relaxed, and there are fewer tourists, unlike the European side, which is overcrowded with tourists. The walk from the Üsküdar exit along the coast to the Maiden Tower is beautiful and relaxing. 😍 Today, we also walked to the hill above Camlica Mosque and took in the view of Istanbul from above. The Maiden's Tower (Turkish: Kız Kulesi), also known as the Leander Tower, is an ancient tower at the southern entrance of the Bosphorus Strait in Istanbul, Turkey. It is 200 meters away from the Uskudar coast on the Asian side. The Maiden's Tower was built in 1110 by the Byzantine Emperor Alexios I. The strait was blocked with iron chains until the defeat of Constantinople in 1453. This is a good place to take sunset photos!

I was quite curious about the kiz kulesi, everytime I saw it and had been wondering what or why did the ferries made a stop there. Finally during a stay, I decided to find out. You see the kiz kulesi or the maidens tower has so many stories surrounding it. It is known to the the spot where a wooden tower existed hundereds of years ago. And from what i heard from a guide during tour. Legend goes that a certain kind, hundreds of years ago built the tower to protect her daughter from a snakebite. I don't have a clear recollection of the story but you can imagine. So, I took one of those ferries that make a stop at the maidens tower. The entrance fee, ferries and audio guide were included in the ticket. It's a quick ride. Turns out the tower has a cafe and even a restaurant. It's known to be a spot for many men to propose their women. While I don't exactly know why, however this place offers a stunning 360 degree view of Istanbul. You get to see both the asian and European side. And if you are there in the evening hours.
