At first sight of the Moonlight City, I fell in love with the Shangri-La Lijiang Resort
From dawn to dusk, from rain to clear sky, to the sudden rainbow, the four seasons of the day in the Dukezong Ancient City are reflected in my eyes, cup after cup of coffee. Because I live in Lijiang, the whole Moonlight City is in my sight. The Shangri-La Lijiang Resort is my first encounter with Lijiang, in such a beautiful place, love at first sight.
The hotel is located at the commanding height of the Dukezong Ancient City. When a row of white houses comes into view, it is there. White is a symbol of auspiciousness, purity, loyalty and honesty in the lives of Tibetan people. Upon arrival at the hotel, you will be presented with a white Hada, and the revered ceremony begins immediately. The design of the hotel is inspired by the traditional row buildings of the Dukezong Ancient City. A total of 18 guest rooms are built along the undulating slopes of the Turtle Mountain. The room I stay in has a direct view of the glittering Buddha Temple and the prayer wheel. I love the terrace of this room, sitting here is like sitting in a place everyone longs for.
Although the hotel is located at an altitude of 3300, even those with altitude sickness need not worry. The hotel is equipped with an advanced oxygen system, providing diffused oxygen for each guest room. In addition, the guest rooms are equipped with floor heating, so even if you come here when it's cold, it's still warm as spring. Similarly, the warm wood tones here, unlike the pure white exterior walls, whether in the rooms or public areas, the varying shades of wooden furniture are exquisitely hand-carved into crafts rich in Tibetan cultural charm and historical atmosphere, as if breathing with the entire ancient city and the entire hotel.
Dyson hair dryers, retro exquisite razors, welcome fruit plates, mini bars that are refilled every day, exquisite prayer wheels for night bed rituals, etc., all show top quality. Many people who have stayed in Lijiang will never forget the EARTH pure water provided by the hotel. It is taken from the underground spring water about 150 meters deep in the Hunzedal Nature Reserve in the Netherlands, and is placed in a high-value glass bottle, pleasing to the eye. Similarly, the Lijiang coffee, which is praised by the world, is of excellent quality in the room, and what shocked me is that it is even equipped with a hand-brewed pot, the details are not enough to give a hundred points.
In addition to the exquisite coffee bags in the room, each guest room at the Shangri-La Lijiang enjoys the executive lounge Happy Hour, allowing unlimited drinking of Lijiang coffee. On the spacious terrace of the Amber Light Lounge, overlooking the pure and flawless Dukezong Ancient City, the aroma of coffee lingers around, every afternoon is an incomparable wonderful time. When night falls, it becomes a unique Moonlight City, with the moonlight of a thousand years shining on the shoulders of today. Such a Shangri-La, such a Dukezong Ancient City, such a Lijiang Hotel, I can't help but fall in love.
