The Cliff Art Museum in Huizhou Shuangyue Bay makes me feel like I am in a fantasy art world. The art gallery is located on a cliff by the sea, full of surprises and beautiful views! 🎨 After entering the art gallery, I was immediately shocked by the scene before me. This art gallery has a unique design and is full of modern art atmosphere. What amazed me most was the spiral staircase. This staircase incorporates artistic elements into its simple design, like a spiraling work of art. Going up the stairs, I can appreciate the artworks from different angles. Shuangyue bay or popularly known as the Double Moon Bay beach paradise is the most visited holiday beach around Huizhou. Great beach and surfers waves. Very family friendly environment. Tens of big and small hotels around the area. Restaurants and coffee shops in every corner. (You wont starve at all)... Resort life, the ultimate summer experience. About 160km east of Shenzhen, Huizhou is littered with resort hotels. It took us about 2 hours to get there by car with a pit stop on the way. We went to Double Moon Bay (双月湾), Huidong, where there are enough activities such as quad biking on the beach, jetskiing, parasailing and more, so you will never be bored. If you prefer a quiet stay, the resort we stayed at, the Grand Barony Hotel, is big enough for this too. You can lounge poolside for hours with a book, while soaking up the sun and taking a dip in the pool. All the rooms have amazing sea views which are great for sipping a drink on your balcony Our hotel had 3 pool areas. The infinity pool was very popular but you can easily have a pool to yourself if you choose one of the others. The pools are not very deep and don't expect to be doing laps as they're for leisure, not laps. The breakfast was generous, with a standard mix of Chinese and Western food. Lunch and dinner options outside the hotel were limited; there are many local restaurants but the offerings were basically the same - seafood and barbecue. There were a few small coffee shops which were a welcome option. At night there were fireworks, bonfires and other activities on the beach and we found a delightful little bar about 200m from our hotel on the beach, where we enjoyed chicken wings and french fries and they also serve some decent cocktails and fresh juices. The ambience was great with lovely music, and cute bright seating on the beach. I wish we had more time to enjoy this spot. There was one downside, the beach was not too clean. The tide brought in lots of pollution from somewhere and the cleaners had a hard time raking out the rubbish, trying to keep the beach clean. We drove from Shenzhen to Shuangyuebay in about two hours and stayed for one night. The weather was not on our side with a lot of wind and rain in the air. The area is called double moon bay if translated into English because of the shape of the area with sea on both sides that you can see from above. Beautiful sandy beaches. We started by going up to the peak to see the overview of the bay and it was super cool. It is a bit of a walk from the parking area so we paid 40 for a guy to take us up and down on his moped. The view from the top was Fantastic and an absolute must see if you are in the area. After the peak we went to the turtle bay nature reserve. They have a beautiful sea walk and lots of big turtles. After turtle bay we went to the beach and visited one of the surfer places. Not much activity but there was someone learning how to kite. The beach was absolutely awesome and I can imagine the place is super nice in the summer month. I definitely want to come back. Lastly we had some amazing seafood noodles at a little local restaurant recommended by some of the surfers. #huizhou #2023travelwish #双月湾

This was my first time to Double Moon Bay and I'm quite surprised how nice it was, the beach, the blue water of the ocean and of course the villa itself. I went on a day trip to Double Moon Bay to soak up some Sunrays and get some content! This side of Huizhou is so calm and quiet, it’s the perfect peaceful getaway! Getting There - From Shenzhen it is a 2 hour drive, taking the high speed train is only 36 minutes. Attractions - Double Moon Bay has beautiful beach areas and so many instagrammable spots, some of which I have photographed above. I found these locations by simply driving around to random places and also by searching on Dianping. Hotels - Many hotels and apartment hotels along the beach. There are still more being built! Food & Restaurants - Restaurants are all around the little town, there are seafood and Chinese restaurants going down the main road and in the apartment hotel community you can find a few convenient stores. Bimonthly Bay is named after the two-month new moon because of its bird's-eye view. Shuangyuewan is also a resort in the famous bay of Guangdong. It is about 2 hours drive from Shenzhen. To take a bird's eye view of the panoramic view of Shuangyue Bay, you must climb the observation deck at the top of Daxing Mountain. The observation deck is free, but when you pass the mountainside, there will be a signboard to prohibit the car from going up the mountain. You can choose to walk up the mountain after parking, it takes about 1 hour, or you can take the local people's motorcycle, each car. 15 yuan one way. There are also many people who dont care about the ban, and drive directly up the mountain. This viewing platform is the essence of Shuangyuewan and must go! Autumn and winter here are off season, but the off season does not affect the scenery here. The scenery on the top of the mountain is very beautiful, but you still need to choose the weather when you go to the top of the mountain to see the scenery.
