Descending into Nature’s Masterpiece: A Journey Through Lower Antelope Canyon
#naturalbeauty #100waysoftravel #lowerantelope
We chose to visit Lower Antelope Canyon to witness its breathtaking beauty, arriving in the afternoon when the heat outside was intense. However, stepping inside the canyon was a refreshing contrast, as the temperature dropped and we were greeted by stunning rock formations bathed in soft, filtered light. The narrow passages and swirling sandstone made for an unforgettable experience. We followed our guide closely, as the trail is one-way only, ensuring a smooth flow of visitors while allowing us to fully appreciate the canyon’s natural wonders.

Lower Antelope Canyon
very worth the ticket price, and the long drive from Vegas there. took many pictures but with vibrant mode to achieve the effect of the internet pictures. recommend everyone to go. there’s also a horseshoe bend nearby which is recommended. too bad there’s not much food options nearby but luckily the hotel I booked has breakfast included so we didn’t have to look for a restaurant.

Have you ever wondered where the Microsoft background stock images come from? Well turns out one of them is from this amazing canyon in the middle of Arizona. Located just outside the town of Page, AZ in a real "blink and you'll miss it" location is the magnificent Antelope Canyon. I had been wanting to visit it here for many many years but had never travelled that far east on my trips to Arizona. Lucky for me I had a couple of days spare after visiting the Grand Canyon South Rim that we decided to make a pit stop to explore this natural wonder.
I couldn't believe how many other were doing the same thing. The line up to enter that canyon was long and we waited a good hour to get down in to the floor of the canyon itself (it is single person ladders to enter which is why it took so long) but once we were in it was absolutely breath taking. Despite the number of people visiting we didn't feel cramped or rushed. I tried to get that particular Microsoft background image photo but after taking the images above I had to put the camera away and just enjoy the beauty of this place in full. Not through a camera lens. A lot of the people we passed while exploring the canyon seemed to be glued to the cameras trying to get that perfect shot. If i can recommend one thing when visiting here, take a photo or 2 at the start then just enjoy being there.
It is a very magical place.

Antelope or Seahorse?
we joined the lower #antelopecanyon tour hosted by ken’s tours in page, #arizona. 🔥 you must join a tour (usually led by the navajo people) to venture into the depths of the #canyon. 🦌 the view was absolutely breathtaking and we couldn’t stop taking photos. 📸 our guide was nice enough to help us take pictures and teach us techniques and angles to capture this magnificent canyon, including the hidden seahorse above our heads! 🌄 of course, it is better to see it with your own eyes than through pictures, and the view is unique to everyone, every time. 👀 be prepare to be amazed as the sun rays bounce off the canyon walls, creating a harmony of light, shadow, and colour 🌈

Antelope Canyon Moments
One of iconic site that escape the city moments.
There are upper & lower antelope canyon. The lower one need to pass through the rock gap ag the entrance, in order to view this amazing attraction.
The lower cayon has relatively lower crowd capacity. Thus would requires more time for serious picture taking. However, different timeslot has different feeling and view, as the angle of light varies.
Would recommend this site as there will be only one antelope canyon with its profound history, as well as great location near Vegas, a perfect combo to enjoy your holiday.

Lower Antelope Canyon
Antelope Canyon is a slot canyon in the American Southwest, on Navajo land east of Page, Arizona. It includes two separate, scenic slot canyon sections, referred to as Upper Antelope Canyon and Lower Antelope Canyon.
Antelope Canyon is a popular location for photographers and sightseers, and a source of tourism business for the Navajo Nation. All visits are through one of several licensed tour operators. It is not possible to visit the Canyon independently. I signed up for Ken’s tours which has a maximum group size of 7 pax, so that they can take good care of every single visitor.
Photography within the canyons is difficult due to the wide exposure range made by light reflecting off the canyon walls, however the tour guide will advise you how to take a good shot, you can always approach the guide to help you take a nice photo!

One of the most beautiful a place I've ever seen. Words cannot describe how amazing this place is, you must see it for yourself. This is was my favorite thing I did in Arizona. It's best to go during the early morning hours or late afternoon to get the best photos. Our tour guide at kens tours was awesome. He showed all of us how to take the best photos whether we had iPhones, Android, or point and shoot cameras. I was in awe the entire time.

American West Self-driving | The Antelope Canyon that God's hand touched!
Mushroom is finally going to the Antelope Valley today! The name of Antelope Canyon is also very interesting. The Navajos feel that this is a sacred place to communicate with nature. The god they believe in is the most primitive natural mother. Navajo, you may be strange, in other words, Indians, you are certainly no stranger.
For the selection of the upper and lower Antelope Valley, the mushroom that chooses phobia will always be asked, what should I choose? There are 10,000 Raiders on the Internet that recommend you to choose the Antelope Valley because you can see the legendary "Light of God." However, the mushroom that did not take the usual path, chose the Lower Antelope Valley.
The Lower Antelope Valley requires more physical strength than the Upper Antelope Valley. Because the Lower Antelope Valley is mostly a ladder, it needs to be climbed, but because of its unique landform, it can shoot even more amazing exclusive scenery. Therefore, it is more suitable for photographers.
Antelope Valley is so beautiful, the guide will stop at each place where there is a story, detailing the legends of India, and telling everyone the best shooting angle, even personally teaching!
The small partners who come to the United States must not miss the beauty of the Antelope Valley~
TIPS
1. Look at the weather forecast again, and do not open the door on rainy days.
2. Good offline map, Google precise positioning.
3. No use, GO PRO or stabilizer for shooting, tripod, only with mobile phone, camera. Backpacks are not allowed to bring it!
4. The tour takes up to two and a half hours, which is absolutely enough for everyone to shoot.

You need a tour guide to explore Lower Antelope Canyon
#localtourguides
Lower Antelope Canyon, located in the heart of the American Southwest near Page, Arizona, is a breathtakingly beautiful natural wonder known for its stunning, narrow canyons and dramatic light beams. Visiting this iconic slot canyon is a must-do, but it's essential to know that exploring with a local tour guide is not just recommended; it's required for safety and preservation reasons.
The Importance of a Local Tour Guide
Safety First: Lower Antelope Canyon is a geologically delicate area with narrow passageways that can be challenging to navigate. Sudden rainstorms can also lead to flash floods. Local guides are trained to navigate these conditions safely and are constantly updated on weather changes to ensure visitor safety.
Rich Cultural and Geological Insights: Tour guides provide valuable insights into the formation of the canyon, its history, and its cultural significance to the Navajo Nation, on whose land it resides. This enriching narrative transforms a simple walk into a meaningful journey through time and nature.
Photography Assistance: The stunning interplay of light and shadow within the canyon is a photographer’s dream. Local guides are skilled at pointing out the best spots and times for capturing iconic photographs and can offer tips on how to best set up shots in the varying light conditions.
Preservation of the Site: Guides ensure that visitors respect the fragile environment. Their presence helps prevent damage to the canyon walls which are susceptible to erosion and wear from human contact.
Planning Your Visit
Book in Advance: Tours can fill up quickly, especially during peak tourist seasons in the spring and fall. Booking well in advance ensures you won’t miss this incredible experience.
Choose the Right Tour: Various tour options cater to different needs, including photography tours, which are longer and timed to capture the best light, or standard tours that focus more on the geology and history.
Prepare Appropriately: Wear comfortable walking shoes and bring water, but keep your hands free to navigate the ladders and narrow paths. Listen closely to your guide’s instructions throughout the tour.

I finally meet in person 🤭
This is the lower antelope canyon at 9am.
Was cloudy today so did not catch much sun. Looking from pictures are truly different from seeing through eyes. Throughly impressive the nature that existed since dinosaurs era.

I picked up the Antelope Canyon again
Below Antelope Canyon
When making the travel guide, I saw photos of the Antelope Canyon controlled by the Native Americans in Arizona online, and I assumed that it was just an underground cave, which I have seen a lot in China, nothing more than the enhancement of sound, light, and electricity, with the stalactites performing a mix of real and fake acts. Therefore, without much thought, I excluded it from the self-funded project menu. In the end, under the persistent and gentle persuasion of my children, I reluctantly picked it up from the trash.
The fact proved that Antelope Canyon and the caves are really not the same thing at all. Apart from both being underground, their formation and colors are incomparable, especially since Antelope Canyon is entirely lit by natural light, without any artificial embellishment, making it more splendid, more natural, and more magical than the caves under artificial lighting.
It is wise to listen to various opinions, especially those of the young.

🚗 Lower Antelope Canyon
🚗 I had heard a long time ago that Lower Antelope Canyon was very famous and great for photography. I never really had the chance to visit when I was living in the States, but I finally made it this time. To be honest, I'm a bit disappointed. Maybe it's because I've seen similar canyons in China (Xinjiang, Gansu) before, and also because the price is really too high and you must join a tour group. The current price is over 70 USD per person.
🚗 The tour has a guide and a group of about a dozen people. The total journey is just over an hour. In fact, the canyon is not very long, and most of the time is probably spent on taking photos.

Lower Antelope Canyon
I made a trip to the Canyon’s with the sole purpose of visiting Lower Antelope canyon.
Having seen pictures of the spectacular natural sculptures built by Mother Nature and the weather, I was left in awe that the Canyon is exactly how the pictures on Apple wallpapers, LG tv screens depict them to be.
It was wonderful getting a tour of the marvellous canyons and what made it even better was that our tour guide was a Native American who had great knowledge about the history of the place.
I would recommend this place to anyone visiting Nevada or Arizona & give it a 10/10 for natural wonders of the world #lowerantelopecanyon

Antelope Canyon
🌟Highlights:
Antelope Canyon is one of the world's famous slot canyons, and a renowned photography spot, located in northern Arizona, USA. The nearest city is Page, and it is part of the Navajo Native American Reservation.
Antelope Canyon is geographically divided into two separate parts, known as Upper Antelope Canyon and Lower Antelope Canyon.
As this area is a Native American region, only local Native Americans can serve as guides to bring tourists in.
📝Tips:
Before entering, everyone wears a mark on their wrist, signs a life and death statement. Antelope Canyon is very narrow, under normal circumstances, only one person can enter at a time. If it rains or is cloudy, the attraction will be closed, because the rainwater will rise rapidly and drown the people inside, which is very dangerous
This is a desert area, and the temperature can reach over 40 degrees in summer.
👍Most recommended:
Under the sunshine, you can take pictures of the canyon in different colors, which is very dazzling and colorful. If you can't get the effect yourself, the local guide took a very beautiful photo for us
🕙Business hours:
It only operates for two or three months a year, so you need to make a reservation in advance.
❤Reason for recommendation:
This is one of the top ten wonders of the world, it's worth a visit

Unbelievably beautiful Lower Antelope😍

If you haven’t been to Lower Antelope, you should definitely try to visit it soon😍 We bought the ticket via trip.com since they have more time availability. The customer service was very helpful in adjusting the time since the original time we had was fully booked. We got the 11 am tour and the total time was nearly 2.5 hrs. The tour guide were locals and very kind, helpful and knowledgable in explaining
the canyon. He even took pictures of everyone in our group with really good angles and lighting. I asked him the best time to actually see the canyon, and he said, it’s the first tour at 7 a.m since the color is at max. You cannot bring your bag, only water and phone are allowed.

Antelope Valley (1)
Antelope Canyon is divided into Upper Antelope Canyon and Lower Antelope Canyon, located within the Navajo Nation reservation.
Perhaps it is Mother Earth's pity for the Native Americans that allows the antelopes to lead them and present them with a natural wonder that sustains their livelihood.
We first inquired about the visiting methods of Antelope Valley in the town, and decided to visit the Upper and Lower Antelope Valley. We promptly purchased the admission tickets at the information center.
The next morning, we drove to Antelope Canyon early in the morning. At the entrance of the canyon, we watched the Native American dance for free, and then followed the Native American guide into the canyon in order.
Experience close contact with Native Americans, who communicate as easily as speaking Chinese through gestures that require no translation.
This valley should be the Lower Antelope Canyon, because the canyon is underground, a crack that is sunken into the ground.
Follow the Native American brothers and cautiously enter the valley, feeling like entering the body of a giant.
Suddenly remembered Sun Wukong and Princess Iron Fan.

Lower Antelop Canyon, Page Arizona
Lower Antelop Canyon Page, Arizona- Walk into the wonderland
When we planned road trip to Grand Canyon from Las Vegas, we Planned to go to Lower Antelope as well. We saw it in Photos and we were really impressed by the way photos were taken and we were appreciating the Photographer. We imediately decided to include in our trip.
After booking Tour online, advised to book in afternoon (3:00 pm to 5:00 pm), as with sun still available colors and photograph both comes magical.
We completed our GrandCanyon and started driving towards Page. Once we reached at the tour Provided Location we were taken in group of 20-25 people and walked shortly and then took a small stair to go down in Canyon.
We were so happy with the colorful view, sun was still on our head and getting enough light. Our tour guide was really nice and explained every corner of it. He also took Wonderfull photos and knew which canyon part looks good in Photos.
I think its a must visit place If you are around Grand Canyon or Arizona. Even with no experience in photography we were able to click impressive photos ;)

Life must go to the lower Antelope Valley lower antelope canyon
winter sun height angle is low, no matter the upper and lower Antelope Valley, there is no direct sunlight coming in the valley, the upper antelope valley is narrow and wide, the lower antelope valley is wide and narrow, so In winter, the light in the Lower Antelope Valley is better than that in the Upper Antelope Valley, which is more suitable for winter tours. We only chose to visit the Lower Antelope Valley. In the off-season, we don't need to book online in advance, we can buy it directly on the spot. Personally, we don't think it is necessary to choose a photo group that doubles the price. Unexpectedly, there are also a lot of tourists in the off-season, the experience of the tour is not good, and the feeling of catching the ducks is on the shelves. The tour guide will help to adjust the camera to the most suitable mode. The color temperature and cloudy mode will increase the sensitivity. Everyone here is a photographer... It should be noted that you cannot carry a tripod, mobile phone, etc. With a bag. The tour time is about 45 minutes. It is not recommended for elderly and children to go up and down the stairs. It is recommended to carry the US dollar change with you and give the guide a tip after the tour.
There are two companies available to visit the Lower Antelope Valley. The price service is similar. I chose kens tour.
Price: The average group is about 50 per person.
whitephoto.
There are several reasons to consider going to the Lower Antelope Valley: there is no light beam even in the Upper Antelope Valley in winter (the light beam only appears in March-September of each year), not to mention the appointment, and there are more people than the Lower Antelope Valley. Considering the selection of the Lower Antelope Valley that does not require an appointment. Of course, if you encounter upstream rainfall, the Lower Antelope Valley is not open because the Lower Antelope Valley is under a desert. When the upper reaches of the water, the downstream of the Antelope Valley is likely to suffer from flash floods. In 1997, 12 tourists entered the Lower Antelope Valley without the guidance of the Indian guide. In the end, they failed to escape the sudden flash floods. Only one life was still alive. So today's Antelope Valley can only be entered under the Indian guide.
About the photography group: The photography team requires everyone to have a tripod, and we both have only one tripod, so we can't report the free movement of the photography group together. So simply two people reported the ordinary group, did not enter with a tripod.
All the way to play down feeling: If you want to take a large film in the Antelope Valley, the quality requirements are extremely high, then it is recommended to report to the photography group; if you just want to visit, take some photos to commemorate, then the ordinary group is enough . If you can meet a good guide like us, then the update is happy, because the normal 1 hour and 15 minutes tour, we actually played definitely more than an hour and a half. Our guides are very patient, with a variety of explanations, gods, guided shooting and more.

The antelope canyon is one of the world's most famous slit-shaped canyons, divided into the upper antelope canyon and the lower antelope canyon.
This used to be an antelope habitat. There are often antelope walks in the canyon, so the name of the Antelope Valley comes from this. Antelope Valley is located in the Indian Protected Area. It is necessary to pay a door-to-door fee of 8 knives and one car to enter the upper and lower Antelope Valley.
