🍽️ Japanese Food Galore in KL!
#localtourguides
#100waysoftravel
There is this hidden abundance of Japanese food at the top level of Lot 10 Shopping Mall in Kuala Lumpur!
This is like a total different world from ground floor all the way up to the top. I think there are easily up to 20 restaurants and up to 100 menus offered here.
You may plan to have your whole day meal eating just here! Strongly recommended!

Don Don Donki is a Japan brand specialty store that selling plenties of products including with snacks, foods, make up products, homeware, health supplement, and so on.
Back then, this has been my favourite shops while i travel to Dontoburi, Osaka as this is a largest discount store with a yellow Ferris Wheel as the design of the shop.
Now, without travelling overseas, it is now available in Malaysia and the branch that located in Bukit Bintang is opening 24/7 daily to satiate everyone’s need regardless what time it is.
In term of the price, it is much higher than Japan but considering all of the items are imported, it is still within the reasonable range.

Places you can't miss in Kuala Lumpur!
🇲🇾Places you can't miss in Kuala Lumpur! The 4-day itinerary is all here
Visa-free travel is really so convenient! Remember to fill out the MDAC online three days in advance
⛅️The weather in Kuala Lumpur is unpredictable, always carry an umbrella. It rained during my visit, but only for an hour or two each time. The sun comes out immediately after the rain, melting everything 🫠
Itinerary🔖
Day1: Arrive in Kuala Lumpur in the evening - Wong Ah Wah Snacks - Check into hotel
Day2: Lot 10 Shopping Plaza - Kuala Lumpur Independence Square - City Gallery - River of Life - TG'S Bistro for super long tower pie - Take photos of the Petronas Twin Towers at night
Day3: Ah Hee Bak Kut Teh for lunch - Central Market for souvenirs - Seafoot Man for dinner - DurianBB Park
Day4: KLCC - Village Park Restaurant for nasi lemak - Pink Mosque - Return home
Food🥢
🥥Wong Ah Wah Snacks, visited by many celebrities, has great young coconut and shrimp paste kangkong! The owner's attitude is not as bad as said online
🌊Seafoot Man deserves its Michelin rating, the mixed seafood vermicelli is bouncy and smooth, even the soup is very fresh! The drink I ordered was bird's nest swallow jelly, with lots of bird's nest and sea coconut at the bottom, very refreshing!
🫕Ah Hee Bak Kut Teh is more crowded than Sin Fung, ordered their signature dishes Bak Kut Teh, 🐔 pot, and eggplant, all tasted good
🫶🏻DurianBB Park is near Seafoot Man, they have durian platters and whole durians. The durian platter lets you taste five different flavors at once, satisfying!
🍚Village Park Restaurant is a must-visit! The fried 🐔 nasi lemak is too delicious, crispy and spicy, very fragrant! The restaurant is also always full

🍟McDonald's fans must check in at Lot 10 Shopping Plaza
📍Set the taxi location to Lok10 right at the HM entrance, casually posing is very photogenic! There are fewer people during the day than at night
⛪️Independence Square, City Gallery, and River of Life are all down the same road. The lawn opposite Independence Square is great for photos! It's best to go when the sun is about to set, otherwise, like me, you can't even open your eyes from the sun, but you can continue with sunglasses
🫓TG'S Bistro to check in the same tower pie as Ella, paired with sweetened condensed milk, quite nice. Also ordered seafood fried noodles which were good!
💒The Pink Mosque is outside the city center, in the direction of the airport. I went there on my way back. After taking photos, it's convenient to take a taxi to the airport
📍Set the taxi location to kelab taslik putrajava, walk inside and you'll reach the most beautiful spot of the Pink Mosque
🏨Stayed at Eaton Residences, checked in the infinity pool of the Petronas Twin Towers. No need to insist on taking photos in the water, the shore or the lounge chairs are also beautiful. Passersby can be easily removed in post-editing

🍛 What Did We Do @ Lot 10, Kuala Lumpur?
#mymymemories
From the outside, Lot 10 (Pic 1) does not look like a fancy mall, but upon entering, you'll understand that you shouldn't judge a book by its cover 🤣
We spent almost the whole day at Lot 10 (except lunch time!), and here are the places we went and recommend!
Optimist Coffee (2)
Best coffee at Lot 10, in my opinion! The Americano was not too sweet, and packed with enough caffeine to save me from a groggy Sunday morning!
Tabushi Ramen @ ISETAN (3)
Located at the LG level, the noodles were cooked to perfection. Just the level of chewiness we love! Try the Katsuo Ramen!
Don Don Donki (4,5)
Not to be missed of course. Apart from shopping Japanese products, you must not skip the Wagyu skewers! They melt in your mouth, and was just worth all the calories! We received a free Pocari Sweat too!
Zapbalang Store (6,7,8)
So unique! Look at all the clothings with cool boxes modelled after local brands we know and grow up with! They even have a fridge with milk - that is not milk!
Ma Maison Tonkatsu @ J's Dining Gate (9)
Refillable sides, big juicy tonkatsu and free drinks if you drop a review... What more can you ask for?
Takumi Craft Bar @ ISETAN (10)
And then of course, we had to end our day with the best craft beer bar ever, Takumi! We felt so refreshed after a long day of walk and feasting!

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
As this was a birthday trip, we need something fancy to celebrate the occasion. We were craving for quality meat.
I was doing some research and found this place right beside of out hotel. The place is situated inside of ISETAN. You'll find the meat booth near a section of raw beef.
To get started, you'll have to pick your meat from the cool shelfs and pass it to the person behind the counter. You'll pay first before finding a counter seat. The meat will be passed to the chef and depending where you sit, you'll be able to watch the chef cook and season your meat to your perfect doneness.
We're not steak expert but we highly recommend getting the ones with lots of fats marbling so it's soft, tender and juicy.
We took:-
1. Stirlion - 10/10 it was the cheaper meat but for some reason the most tender.
2. Ribeye - 8/10 it was pricier but the meat was firmer.
Both steak was cooked the same style, so it tasted the same. It came with 2 dipping sauce - soya and oil.
We also ordered a bowl of japanese rice to share. I think it goes well with the entire meal.
We also recommend sticking to 1 meat to share - you can see the weight on the packaging (200-250g) per pax is sufficient.
Overally, the staffs were friendly and the food was great. I would recommend this place if you're craving for some good meat!

The Tokyo Restaurant - Unique cheesecake
Situated in Lot 10 within the vibrant district of Bukit Bintang, Tokyo Restaurant offers a delightful gastronomic experience. I tried the Shibuya Iced Tea, the Imperial Beef Curry with Omelette and the Basque Burnt Cheescake.
The Imperial Beef Curry tastes as good as it looks, the combination of the omelette and the Japanese curry goes extremely well with the chunks of beef. The curry did not overwhelm the rest of the ingredients, and added a spicy kick that complemented well with the fluffy omelette.
The Basque Burnt Cheesecake is truly a highlight of the meal. The cheesecake had a velvety smooth texture, coupled with a delicate caramelized crust created a wonderful contrast of flavours. It was creamy and decadent, striking a perfect balance between sweetness and richness.

Coffee with a Smile: Discovering Optimist at 10 Bukit Bintang
#malaysiatrip
During my trip to Malaysia, I visited Optimist Coffee located at 10 Bukit Bintang, a popular tourist spot. It’s a cozy café with a minimalist vibe, perfect for a quick coffee break while exploring the area.
I tried their iced black coffee, and it was refreshing and smooth, perfect for the warm weather. I also loved the positive messages printed on the cups, like “Be gentle with yourself. You’re doing the best you can.” It added a unique, uplifting touch to the experience.
Their menu offers a good range of choices, from classic black coffee to creative options like Matcha Soda and Salted Caramel Latte. The handwritten chalkboards and thoughtful details around the café made it feel inviting and warm.
If you’re ever around Bukit Bintang, I highly recommend stopping by Optimist Coffee. It’s a great spot to recharge with a good cup of coffee and a dose of positivity!

Bukit Bintang near Deepavali :)
#1000waysoftravel
As Deepavali approached, Bukit Bintang transformed into a vibrant tapestry of lights and colors. I could feel the excitement in the air as families adorned in colorful traditional attire filled the streets, the aroma of sweet treats and savory dishes wafting around me.
One evening, I ventured out to explore the festivities. I stopped at a stall selling colorful rangoli powders and decided to create a small design on the sidewalk. Passersby paused to admire my work, and it brought a smile to my face.
As I wandered deeper into the heart of Bukit Bintang, the sweet aroma of jalebi caught my attention. I quickly bought a plate and savored the crispy, syrupy delight.
Night fell, and the city glowed with countless lights, reflecting the spirit of unity and celebration. I found a cozy spot to enjoy the fireworks display, my face illuminated by the bursts of color in the sky. Surrounded by friends and strangers alike, I felt the warmth of community and the magic of Deepavali wrapping around me.
In that moment, amidst the dazzling lights and joyous laughter, I knew this Deepavali in Bukit Bintang would forever hold a special place in my heart.🏖️Ambiance/Facilities #awesomepic #deepavali

Donki has been one of the must visit places whenever you go Japan! I guess Donki land their footprint in Malaysia about 5years ago, setting up something similar to Japan which has got multi level stores.
We visited this one in Kuala Lumpur City Centre, Lot10. Believe it or not, this outlet serves 24/7! Meaning they are opened all day long for local and tourist to visit whenever they wish to!

Zapalang means all sorts of things in hokkien and this shop sells pretty much interesting and unique items/souvenirs over here! Do check them out if you want to have an uncommon shopping experience with some old day vibes (back in 90s anyone?). The items are not very cheap though if I must say. This is located at lot 10 shopping centre on the level 3.

Malaysia Travel Guide Kuala Lumpur Day1
Malaysia Travel Guide Kuala Lumpur Day1|||January 29 my city✈️January 30 Kuala Lumpur
First, I recommend two super useful apps:
【grab】Taxi, ordering takeaway is super useful (it takes a long time to get a taxi in Kuala Lumpur, at least 7.8 minutes at the bottom, so you must call a taxi in advance when you go out)
【Google Maps】Navigation, it's super useful to see the distance of attractions~
Day1:
Because I took the night flight, I was very tired when I arrived in Kuala Lumpur (I suggest not to take the night flight as much as possible, I really have no energy to play when I arrive in the morning), the hotel we booked is Eaton Apartment, the hotel in Malaysia can check in at 3 pm, but you can negotiate with the merchant to check in early, so we first rest in the sofa area of the hotel, use grab to order coffee takeaway and wait for check-in. Around 2 o'clock, I checked in, put on makeup, took a few photos at the infinity pool on the 51st floor, and then went out for a stroll~
Check-in Cape Man-Pavilion Square-klcc-Twin Towers Best Photo Spot-McStreet-Arar Street
1. Go to Cape Man first
I ate fish head rice, seafood noodles, two drinks (just the fresh taste of seafood, the taste is average, there is no memory point)
2. Pavilion Square
I went to Chanel and there was no popular product in stock. Because there was no shopping need, and the price was not particularly cheap, I didn't buy anything~
3. klcc
I didn't go shopping much, it rained outside and I rested here, waiting for the rain to stop and went to the best photo spot of the Twin Towers (as shown in the figure)
4. Twin Towers Best Photo Spot
It's quite close to klcc. You can navigate to public bank with Google Maps. Maybe it's because of the night. The photos taken by my friend's iPhone have a lot of light and blur. There are many photographers who charge for photos here, 10 horses and 15 horses each. It's worth letting them take pictures. The clarity of the photos is very high, and they will teach some actions, and they will take a lot of pictures. Finally, choose the most satisfactory one~
5. McStreet
It's very close to Pavilion Square. In fact, you can navigate to Lotte Square directly after shopping at Pavilion (we didn't know so we took a taxi after shopping at the Twin Towers)
McStreet is really suitable for wearing a hot girl outfit to check in and take pictures. It's super out of the picture, very street fashion, you can take cool photos~
6. Arar Street
You can walk directly from McStreet to Arar Street. The whole street is full of various snacks, which is very similar to the snack street in China. Check in Huang Yahua Snack Shop, ordered satay skewers, grilled chicken wings, cream shrimp, citrus plum juice~
【Satay skewers】When I went there, there was only chicken left. The taste is sweet, the meat is a bit woody, if you like sweet, you can try it~
【Grilled chicken wings】Very ordinary, completely tasteless~
【Cream Shrimp】The taste is very fragrant, very delicious, must order~
【Citrus Plum Juice】It's salty, sweet and sour. I think it's delicious. My friend can't accept this taste. I think it's very hard to drink, but it's very greasy~

A long standing shopping center in the heart of Kuala Lumpur and you can identiy this shopping center from far by their green colour exterior. It is also the shopping center with the nearest entrance/exit of the Bukit Bintang MRT station. The crowd here is forever busy and you will get a lot of foot traffic. There Is also a popular Japanese supermarket, Don Don Donki here and it covers a few floors at Lot 10. This shopping center also have many bubble tea shops and it is great to have many options.

Lot 10 Kuala Lumpur 👣✨
An old shopping mall in the capitalist heart of Kuala Lumpur, but it has a refurbished look and feel to it. There are many ways of going to Lot 10, but the best way is via the MRT or Monorail, which stops in front of the shopping mall, look out for Bukit Bintang station. 🚆
Upon entering the mall, shoppers are greeted with a spacious and well-lit atmosphere. The mall’s interior design is modern and stylish, with sleek marble floors and contemporary fixtures. The mall is well organized, making it easy for shoppers to navigate and find what they are looking for. 👀
The store main attraction is Isetan and Donki and on lower ground floor is packed with a variety of restaurants. A really cool food court in the lower level of the mall. The prices are reasonable, and all the food items have clear pricing. There is also a supermarket selling fruits, vegetables, beef, and chicken. In the ISETAN food court, there is a sushi bar, a wine bar, and traditional Malaysian cakes and pastries. 🍰
Overall, Lot10 Shopping Mall is a must visit destination for anyone looking for a convenient and enjoyable shopping experience. Whether you are looking to shop, dine, or simply spend time with friends and family, Lot10 is the perfect place to do it. 🥰💋
