The mountainous terrain requires constant uphill and downhill walking, with slopes and stairs everywhere. After two days here, I've walked 25,000 steps each day, leaving my calves aching. Before my trip, I did a lot of research online and planned what I thought was a very reasonable itinerary. I never imagined it would be so hard on my legs and feet. Day 1: Laojun Cave (took a taxi directly to the west gate) - Huangjueya Old Street - Sanmao's Former Residence - Huangge Ancient Road - Dunhoupo Old Street - Shangxin Street - Chongqing Opening Port Site Park - Longmenhao - Xiahaoli - Hong'en Temple Park - Hongyadong night view.
