Shanghai tourist attractions bundle
🌴 10 places to visit in Shanghai by yourself
Coordinates as shown in the first picture!! What I would like to recommend is
1. Payment Most of the society here is cashless payment. You should be prepared to download the following apps:
- Ali pay
Used mainly for paying money, taking the subway, various transportation, including calling a taxi like DiDi.
*Linked with a credit card, Travel card
If you do not have the card, we recommend applying for True wallet and enabling a Virtual Cerdit Card. It will be a Master Card that will withdraw money from your True Wallet account.
***Importantly, we recommend using a Mastercard because some Visa cards can actually be linked, but will not work when used in China.
- We Chat
This is another option in some cases where some stores or some people do not have Ali pay and will use this app instead. You should have it installed. You can spend money.
- True Money
With True wallet money from Thailand, you can easily top up in many ways, such as at 7-Eleven, TrueMoney top-up cards, and linking a bank account. **You can press to spend money similar to Ali pay by pressing to pay. And select the top right corner to pay abroad, select the country, open the QR code, and you're done. You can pay now.
2. Domestic travel
2.1 Shanghai Pudong Airport, enter the city
- We choose to use Meglev, a high-speed train, arriving within 8 minutes.
Show your flight ticket, receive the remaining 40¥ (normally 50¥)
Get off at the destination station, Longyang Staion, Line 2.
*In addition, for those who are more convenient, the subway, bus, the cost will be much cheaper, or Taxi, DiDi, but it takes about 1 hour.
2.2 Metro subway
The cost is cheap, starting at 3¥.
On average, traveling a long distance will be about 3-6¥.
2.3 DiDi or Taxi
DiDi is similar to Grab in our country. Call through Ali pay, the cost will be shown, and you can press to pay through the app. *Sometimes you will get a discount.
Taxi meter is calculated based on distance and size of the car.
***Every car I have encountered in this type of travel will smell quite heavily of cigarette smoke.
3. Shopping and food sources
I mainly recommend Nanjing Road, which has quite a lot of food such as cheap boiled fish, giant grilled lamb skewers, and many souvenir and toy shops such as Popmart, Toptoys, M&M, Disney Store.
***Lastly, this city is beautiful, modern, similar to Europe, but there are some things that we don't like, such as people who like to walk around bumping into each other, people who like to cough without covering their mouths, and coughing a lot everywhere. **Cigarettes are smoked all over the city, even in the mall restrooms. Even in Disneyland, there are children who smoke.
Whether you like a place or people depends on personal preference, but I recommend a city that is quite beautiful and suitable to see with your own eyes at least once in your life. 😊
