An awesome singapore trip 🇸🇬
#singaporetrip
Ijust came back from Singapore, and I'm so excited!
In July, Singapore does not seem to be as hot as expected.
Compared with the humidity and heat of "going out for five minutes and sweating all day" in Guangdong, the body temperature in Singapore is much more comfortable. During the day, there is occasional cool breeze blowing and showers, which is more cool, especially after night!
Singapore is a very beautiful country with a clean environment and a good look at taking photos. I recommend some scenic spots worth visiting!
P1: Dutch Village
P2: Clarke Quay
P3: Fukangning Park: If you find the Tree tunnel, you will find this hole. It takes more than half an hour to queue up. It is recommended to go early!
P4-5: Street Scene of Geilong
P6: Golden Jubilee Bridge
P7-8: Golden Sands Hotel sky park
P9: Little India
P10-11: Ox Car Water
P12: Promenade (next to the Ferris wheel)
P13: Old Xi Street Police Station
P14~15: Singapore Museum of Arts and Sciences
P16: Starlight Changi

Little India in Singapore 🇸🇬
#singapore
The first tourist attraction we came across in small India was the former home of Tan Teng Niah – a Chinese man. It should not be surprising that Singapore is multicultural with Chinese, Indians and Malays making up the majority of the population. Similarly in Chinatown, the mosque and Indian temple are among the attractions there.
While touring small India, we noticed a queue and it had already passed 9am.
We didn’t know what to expect except to assume that food should be good for people in line at the time. We joined the waiting list and when we got to the front of the line, we took a look at the menu and decided on the dishes. Omg they were the best we ever got We both had Masala and Mysore Masala with tea and Masala tea which costs us only S$14.60.
We continued to wander the small India passing through the Sri Fieramakalyaman temple that we didn’t go to while we were wearing shorts. He wanted to go to Abdul Ghafoor Mosque but could not find the entrance.
While walking around, we came across a dining hall, the Eat Box which was deserted at lunchtime and seemed out of place in small India. We went back to little India again at night and again it was very empty.
However, at night the atmosphere in Little India was quite different – it really felt as if I was in India with crowds of mainly Indian men. I was surprised to see security around but I didn’t feel uncomfortable at all. For dinner, we went to Apollo, a restaurant for banana leaves. The food was delicious but on the fating side.
When you visit Singapore, be sure to immerse yourself in different cultures by visiting Little India, Chinatown and Kampong Glam.

Little India is a gathering place for the Indian community in Singapore, a miniature of India, hence the name Little India. Especially during some festivals, the Indian style is even more intense, here is like a golden fairy tale world. Colorful lights and decorations can be seen everywhere on the street.
The most famous shopping center in Little India is none other than the Mustafa Center, which is known throughout the island for its 24-hour all-day operation, good quality and low price, and a wide variety of goods.
Veera Makali Amman Hindu Temple: The Hindu gods, sacred cows, and warriors carved on the gate tower shine under the sun, attracting attention. The walls around the temple are painted in red and white, full of festive atmosphere.
Haji Lane is a quiet alley in Kampong Glam, Singapore, with many characteristic small shops worth visiting. The once empty street with pre-war houses on both sides has been revitalized by the influx of local designers and young entrepreneurs. There are many unique fashion stores here, specializing in selling a variety of fashionable accessories and items with Singaporean local flavor.
Transportation: Accessible by bus and subway.

I met up with my long time Indian colleagues at the little India area. She brought me to the Indian restaurant to try some of her favorite dishes. We had the famous curry fish head, tandoori chicken, and naan basket. I find the gravy very thick and goes well with rice and naan. She later brought me along the street and introduced their culture to me. We also visited a few other shops and the temple. It was an amazing cultural journey with her. I will bring her to Chinatown the next time round. To introduce our local Chinese culture and traditions to her.

The Streets Of Syed Alwi Road(Photo Ed)
Heading to Singapore recently, you have to head to the little india district where you will be able to find many authentic Indian restaurants, be it from north or south India, even small little take away shops where they will selluq the many super sweet Indian sweet treats, or the many fried crispy, or floury Indian snacks that you should try!
Many people will drop at the north east line at little india, but a good recommendation to stop at would be at farrer park instead, as this station bring you right into the heart of the little india District.
Do at least give yourself 3 to 4 hours here if you want to really explore each outlet and visit every street. I do recommend to start with Syed Alwi Road.

Kailash Parbat - A North Indine Cuisine
Little india is filled with rows of India restaurants that serves many authentic Indian food where most of these restaurants are also normally vegetarian especially when it comes to north Indian food.
We were on a hunt for Bhatura, it's a kind of fluffy dough where it is bigger than a normal poori. Mot many restaurants does it and can only be found in restaurants which serves North Indian food.
Kailash Parbat is one of the recommended restaurant to go for an authentic but yet reasonable meal.
Due to its reasonable prices, and really good food, this restaurants gets crowded as close as 6.30pm in the evening! So if you don't want to be disappointed, recommend to here early. You can find this restaurant right opposite of the popular mustafa mall!

Markets in Little India
I ventured into this area which was closed to traffic on a Sunday. It is the area directly opposite Mustafa Centre. This is also a very crowded place and you do not really have to be careful of your wallet. Generally, in Singapore, it is safe but it is still prudent to stay alert. It is also a gathering place for the migrant workers and you can see them having picnics here too. I also see some of them dancing and doing livestream. It is a great idea to let them congregate here on their day off. There are also many mini supermarkets selling fresh produce at cheap prices which is great for bulk purchases. Sometimes, you can see our policemen patrolling here too. So all is good and safe to venture here.
