Library@orchard is a public library under the National Library Board of Singapore. Initially located on level 5 of Ngee Ann City on Orchard Road in the Central Area of Singapore and can be accessed on level 3 of the Orchard Gateway Shopping Mall. As of Oct 28, 2024, it is Temporary Close for renovation in stages until 2026. It is a beautifully lined library, quiet, and has a great atmosphere. I really like it here. Open every day except Wednesday. Another very beautiful and peaceful library in Singapore is Library@Orchard. It is a library where many Singaporeans come to read books. But they also have a corner for taking pictures. But you have to be very quiet. You can't make any noise. Always turn off your phone. They will put stickers on you to show you where to stand to take pictures. I haven't step in this library for 2years since the pandemic started. Now you can even borrow books using NLB app just by scanning the barcode of the book located inside the book or on the spine of the book. Fancy indeed. I dont even have to go to the kiosk to scan my books. You need to download the National Library Board app on google playstore. The ambience of this library is amazing and there is even a window sitting area for you to drown in your pile of books... #mustvisit

Library @ Orchard is very well located on level four and five of Orchard Gateway where you get to look out into the view of Killiney road, the architecture of The library is just an influencers haven, there is no way to make the library look bad in anyway. One special feature of our national library is that you are able to borrow the books from here and return in to any National library near you which just makes it so convenient!

So carry a bottle with you when you are at Library@Orchard the next time. Now, I will tell you why. Pls go up to level 4 and find a seat facing the windows. You will be able to have a fantastic view of Orchard road with the glass to ceiling windows and enjoy the views. Plus it is free entry and you can read a book and enjoy the afternoon here. It is so much better and cheaper than spending time in a cafe. When you get tired, you can move inwards and find a nicer lounge chair and continue reading. There is no time limit at the library and nobody will chase you away.

Library @ Orchard is one of the nicest two storey library in Singapore. Located at Orchard Gateway shopping. The library is clean , well organised and managed. The environment is very peaceful and spacious . At level 2, if u get to seat in specific seats , there is a really nice view of CBD buildings . What I like is the amazing city view from the sofa seats and the decorations of the book shelves that looks very wavy like a snake. Nice place to take photo. Location is directly above Somerset MRT. Thinking of Singapore, besides the Merlion, we probably can't forget the Hainanese Chicken Rice menu that many people say is soft, bouncy, and delicious. We also want to try it. It is partically marketed to young adults and you can see why as orchard road is a very popular shopping district. When you enter the library, you can see some mannequins displaying quirky fashion clothes with the history explained. The most popular photo spot is the round stairway up the 4th floor. I love that there are separate seating areas for solos and one overlooking a park/buildings. This is th best place to spend the weekend.

#singaporetrip When I'm in Orchard waiting for someone or got tired roaming around shops, I always go to library@orchard. Instead of tiring myself out even more, I just look for a vacant seat along with my chosen book for that stay. The book selection aren't that big but I can still find books I'm interested in reading. Everytime I go there, it's crowded so it's a bit of a challenge to find a spot I could stay in. There are many seating options throughout the 2 levels of the library. I've always wanted to seat at the unique curved stair-like wooden platforms but it's always full. This library is famous due to the curved bookshelves and is often photographed from the stairs. I must say that this is a really amazing and interesting library. Every corner is beautiful and the lighting is good. It's not enough that they have a photo spot here. It's really great. Visiting Lonrary@orchard was an unforgettable experience! The scenic views were breathtaking, and every corner of the area felt like a postcard-worthy moment. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, making the entire trip enjoyable. just relaxing in a peaceful atmosphere, this place has something for everyone.
