Lian Island in Lianyungang, Jiangsu, boasts beautiful blue seas and skies, pristine fishing villages, quiet and cozy seaside inns, and affordable prices. You don't need to take a boat; buses and self-driving are very convenient. Lian Island is divided into East Lian Island and West Lian Island. East Lian Island is a paid scenic area, mainly featuring two beaches, Dashawan and Sumawan, a Peacock Garden, and a Deng Xiaoping Sculpture Park. The ticket price is 50 yuan (free with a teacher's ID, unfortunately, I didn't bring mine this time). The seawater at the beaches is relatively clear, the sand is very fine, hygiene is well-maintained, commercialization is not too intense, and the service facilities are quite good. There are scheduled music performances and small shows on the beach. Overall, it feels okay, with quite a few tourists. Having seen many places' seas and working in a coastal city myself, the sea in Lianyungang doesn't seem to attract me much. West Lian Island is a fishing village with many inns, and sea-view rooms where you can directly watch the sunrise and sunset. This is what attracts me, so I stayed there for the night 😊 (Further updates on West Lian Island experiences will follow) 🌸🌸🌸 Lian Island is the largest island in Jiangsu Province, but I feel it's quite small; you can tour East Lian Island in less than half a day, with just two main beaches. On the island, you can only tour by the scenic area's sightseeing bus, with a total of four stops to play at, and you can hop on and off at will. The sightseeing bus ticket price is 20 yuan, usable for both the outbound and return trips, a fair price. 🌟🌟🌟 Route recommendation: Start from the Visitor Center, take the small train to Dashawan Visitor Center, then to Dashawan, then to Peacock Garden, then to Sumawan. After playing at Sumawan, you can take the bus to the Deng Xiaoping Sculpture Park, and finally return to Dashawan Visitor Center and the Visitor Center. 🌟tips 1. Comparatively, on the island, what I like the most is this mini 'Santorini,' very eye-catching in color and great for photos. It's located at Dashawan, on the upper viewing path. 2. I suggest everyone walk the seaside boardwalk from Dashawan to Sumawan; the coastal scenery along the way is stunning. 3. There are dance performances and peacock feeding shows on Sumawan Beach (morning session at 10:00; afternoon session at 15:00), so plan your time accordingly. 4. In the summer, be sure to protect yourself from the sun. 5. If driving, you need to park your car at the Visitor Center; there are many parking spaces, and it's free.

Area and Transportation Lianyungang is divided into Ganyu District, Haizhou District, and Lianyun District. The main tourist attractions are concentrated in Lianyun District. For train travel, try to choose Lianyungang East Station; for self-driving, use Lianyungang East Station as the starting point. Tourist Routes 1. First stop: Haise Yifang Park (free beach, suitable for camping and digging sand) 2. International Exhibition Center (a modern exhibition center with large scale and advanced facilities within the province) 3. West Dike (total length of 6700 meters, connecting Dongxilian Island and the mainland) 4. Lotus Island (West Lotus Island has high-rise homestays and traditional fishing and forest residential areas, with a free parking lot on Huan Island West Road; West Lotus Island is an excellent place to watch the sunset) 5. Tourist Wharf, Ice and Snow Kingdom, Underwater World 6. Yangwo Tou (under the sign of Huanghai East Road, the best spot to watch the sunrise) 7. Dashawan (a paid attraction, you can take a sightseeing bus to Sumawan within the scenic area) 8. Yun Tai Mountain on the Sea (take a car to the top of the mountain, you can overlook the bay 360°; there is Yangshan Island at the foot of the mountain) 9.
