| Best value for money after the opening of the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Bridge. I visited Zhongshan in the first half of last year and stayed at Zhongshan Le Méridien. It was a long drive via the Humen Bridge. This time, I took the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Bridge to Zhongshan and stayed here again. Personal subjective rating: 1. Hotel environment: Zhongshan Le Méridien is located on Gangkou Avenue, Zhongshan City, near Shiqi District. It takes about half an hour to drive here from the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Bridge. Next to the hotel is Zhongshan Poly Plaza, which sounds grand but is actually a small shopping mall with average stores. It only has Luckin Coffee, KFC, a supermarket, and a cinema. Across the street is MOCITY, which has Starbucks, Heytea, etc. 2. Room facilities: I booked a deluxe king room (basic room) again this time. The booking manager was very nice and upgraded me to a suite. There are two suites on each floor. The room style is modern and simple, with a large dining table and a large office desk. It is decent. The hotel opened in 2018. Overall, I think it is well maintained. I don't know if it was renovated in the middle, but the experience is more like a hotel from 2020 or 2021. 3. Le Méridien Zhongshan Poly is so different. Le Méridien Zhongshan is a Marriott Prime hotel. This was my first time staying here. My room was upgraded to an 84 sqm one-bedroom suite. It had 2 bathrooms, which was great for privacy. There was a dressing room and a narrow walk-in closet. I really liked the layout. The living room had a dining table and a small sofa. It was a great place to sit and read a book. I loved it. The capsule coffee machine came with illy capsules. This is rare in a hotel industry that is always trying to cut costs. The hotel didn't use the bottled water provided by Marriott. Instead, it used large bottles of JingTian. The bedroom had 4 pillows, 2 high and 2 low. I like to hug one pillow and sleep on another. The bedding was very comfortable. The TV was placed in the sofa area next to the bedroom, so you could sleep well. The bathtub was my favorite. It was placed by the window, but it wasn't easy to open the window and enjoy the view. Otherwise, you might become someone else's view. The room was great. The welcome fruit and snacks were plentiful. There was also a thoughtful handwritten card! I will definitely come back for a vacation! Room: I'm very grateful to Linda Lin at the front desk for upgrading me to a suite. The bathroom was also larger than in a standard room. The view wasn't great, but the hotel design was very good. It's very convenient for dining and shopping. This time, I mainly went to Yaku Village. It was about a half-hour drive. The Chinese restaurant deserves a special mention. It's on par with The Ritz-Carlton and The St. Regis. It's worth checking in. The tea fee isn't expensive. It starts at CNY 10. There's a discount on weekdays. The environment is so beautiful!!! The breakfast area on the second floor is a bit like The Londoner Macao. Overall, I will definitely stay here again when I visit Zhongshan. This hotel is worth a second stay.
