"Mount Laojun: A Dreamy Journey to a Fairyland."
Mount Laojun, a famous mountain with a thousand-year history and endless mysteries, stands quietly on the earth like a holy land in a fantasy novel, attracting countless tourists to explore its charm.
Stepping into Mount Laojun is like entering a fairyland isolated from the world. The misty peaks are like fairies draped in veils, looming in the gentle breeze. The mountains here are tall and straight, their outlines sometimes bright and sometimes dark in the mist, like a traditional Chinese ink painting drawn with the most delicate brushstrokes of nature. Every step you take, you can feel the weight and depth coming from the depths of the earth.
Walking along the winding mountain road, the lush forest beside you is like a loyal guard, its dense branches and leaves interlacing to shield tourists from the strong sunlight, allowing only fragments of golden light to fall on the ground, forming patches of light spots, like gold foil scattered on green silk. The flowers and plants on the mountain are also unwilling to be lonely, swaying gently in the breeze, their colorful flowers emitting a faint fragrance, like a refreshing tea offered to tourists.
At the top of the mountain, the whole world seems to be at your feet. Looking far into the distance, you can see the continuous peaks stretching to the horizon. The sea of clouds surges and rolls in the valleys like a turbulent ocean, while the peaks stand stubbornly like reefs in the sea. When the sunlight penetrates the mist, the entire sea of clouds is instantly painted with a layer of golden brilliance, magnificent and breathtaking, making people feel relaxed and happy, with all worries drifting away with the breeze.
Mount Laojun not only has magnificent natural scenery but also has a profound historical and cultural heritage. Taoist culture has been passed down here for a long time, and many Taoist temples are like pearls dotted among the mountains and forests. Approaching the Taoist temples, you can feel the tranquility and solemnity of the ancient religious culture. The red walls and green tiles of the buildings look particularly simple and unadorned against the backdrop of green trees and mountains, and the melodious sound of bells echoes in the valleys, as if telling stories of a thousand years.
Whether you want to pursue the beauty of nature or immerse yourself in the edification of ancient culture, Mount Laojun is an excellent destination. Here, you will embrace nature, converse with history, and let your soul be truly baptized in this fairyland on earth.

My goodness, how can the snow scenery of Mount Laojun be so beautiful!!!
"Having traveled to the mortal world for a splendid feast, I've witnessed the grandeur of an era." Where is the paradise on earth? It is none other than the snowy Mount Laojun! If there is indeed a paradise in this world, it must be Mount Laojun with its "white snow, golden temples, rime ice, and sea of clouds..." Looking back now, it's still overwhelmingly stunning. I believe it will surely amaze you too.
No one can resist the winter charm of Mount Laojun.
Tips for visiting Mount Laojun in winter:
1. Be sure to bring ice grips, the anti-slip artifact.
2. Hat, gloves, and warmers, the three essentials for cold protection.
3. Ancient costumes paired with the snowy golden summit are incredibly photogenic; you can rent ancient costumes and capes for 30 yuan each at the foot of the mountain.
4. A thermos and a power bank are also essential; it's too cold at the summit.
5. Mount Laojun meal package (instant noodles) for 10-15 yuan per serving.
6. Children under 1.4 meters in height enter for free.
7. Suggested tour route: First-level cable car (a must-ride) -- Hall of Relief -- Fairyland Tunnel -- Thousand-Year Maple King Service Area (with instant noodles) -- Ten-Mile Gallery (about 2 kilometers in total) -- Funiu Mountain Summit (the highest peak of Mount Laojun) -- South Heaven Gate (Golden Summit Taoist Temples) -- Descend via plank road -- Peak Forest Cableway (second-level cableway, choose to ride if you're tired) -- Hall of Relief -- Middle Heaven Gate (cable car down the mountain) -- Parking lot.
I hope this guide will be helpful to you. Mount Laojun

What a heavenly place this is
There are two cable car routes on Mount Laojun, the first segment you can take either the Zhongling cable car or the Yunjing cable car, both cost 70 yuan for the ascent and 65 yuan for the descent, with a round trip costing 130 yuan. Taking the Yunjing cable car, just by looking at those barriers, you can tell how crowded Mount Laojun gets during peak tourist season. Once you get off the cable car, you arrive at Zhongtian Gate, in front of which stands the statue of Laozi riding a bull, symbolizing the legend that after transmitting the 'Tao Te Ching', Laozi departed on a green bull. In the eleventh year of the Zhenguan era (637 AD), Emperor Taizong of Tang commissioned Wei Chi Jingde to rebuild the Iron Top Laojun Temple on Jingshi Mountain and bestowed the name 'Mount Laojun'. Further up, there is another cable car route, the Fenglin cable car, which costs 45 yuan for the ascent and 40 yuan for the descent, with a round trip costing 80 yuan. It is not recommended to take this cable car. Instead, enter through Zhongtian Gate and walk up the mountain to enjoy the scenery along the way. It takes about three hours. The mountain peaks stand tall and steep, as if cleaved by knives and axes, with the original appearance of the rocks well-preserved, recording the structural evolution process of the ancient North China landmass, including rift, aggregation, collision, and orogeny since ancient times. The rock formations are unique and have been named 'Laojunshan Rock Body' by domestic geologists.
Between the peaks, there is a view at every step, with the scenery constantly changing and each view picturesque, hence it is known as the 'Ten-Mile Gallery'. After enjoying the Ten-Mile Gallery, you will reach the Wuwei Pavilion, where it is written 'There is no road longer than the journey by foot, no mountain higher than the people'. You can take a short rest here; this is the main peak of the Funiu Mountains, with an altitude of 2297 meters. Standing here, you can take in the entire 800-mile Funiu Mountain range. You can also gaze far into the Golden Top Temple complex. Here, you feel especially close to the sky, and on clear days, it is essential to be prepared for sun protection. There are many people taking photos, so continue towards the opposite Golden Top. It takes about twenty minutes to reach the South Heaven Gate, and climbing the steps will take you to the Golden Top Taoist temple complex.
KAIDEN WATTS
It's not that one leaf obstructs the view, it's just that I am in the midst of this mountain
March, the time when spring is gradually thickening, I embarked on a journey to Mount Laojun alone. This trip was not for anything else, but to explore the legendary fairyland and to feel the tranquility and mystery of the mountains.
In the early morning, I packed my bags and set off on the road to Mount Laojun. Along the way, I saw mountains upon mountains, all lush and green. However, this seemingly peaceful forest hides endless vicissitudes and stories.
Upon reaching the foot of the mountain, I chose to take the cable car. As the cable car slowly ascended, I looked down at the mountains below and couldn't help but feel an inexplicable emotion. These mountains, these waters, these clouds, seemed to be telling something, and I, just a passerby, was trying to listen to their voices.
Upon reaching the summit, I first visited the Golden Summit Taoist temples. Despite the weathering, these temples still stand firm. I wandered among them, feeling the profoundness and solemnity of Taoist culture. Each temple seemed to be a witness to history, silently guarding this land.
Then, I came to the glass viewing platform. Standing here, I felt as if I was in the clouds, surrounded by endless seas of clouds and mountains. I closed my eyes and felt the breath of nature, and a wave of inexplicable emotion surged in my heart.
For lunch, I tasted the local specialties at a small shop on the mountain top. Although there were no delicacies from the mountains and seas, it had its own unique flavor. After the meal, I sat alone on the open ground at the summit, looking at the distant peaks and the nearby sea of clouds, and my mind was filled with inexplicable thoughts.
In the afternoon, I continued along the mountain road. The scenery along the way, though not dramatic, was full of charm. I passed through woods, crossed streams, and felt the gifts and power of nature.
In the evening, I arrived at Mane Ridge. From here, I could overlook the entire beauty of Mount Laojun. The setting sun's afterglow spread over the mountains, turning everything golden. I stood quietly here, enjoying this peace and beauty.
As night fell, I took the cable car down the mountain. On the cable car, I looked back at Mount Laojun, filled with emotion. These mountains, these waters, these clouds, will become unforgettable memories in my life.
Back home, I sat alone at the table, reminiscing about the day's experiences. Mount Laojun, a place full of mystery and charm, made me feel the greatness and power of nature. I believe that in the days to come, I will set foot on this land again to explore more unknowns and beauties.

⚠Tickets must be reserved in advance, reserve in advance❗Laojun Mountain is a real-name reservation, and does not accept tourists who do not make a reservation.
🚗Self-driving: You must navigate to Yunjing/Zhongling Cableway, drive the car directly in, don't stop at the door, if you stop at the door, you need to take a scenic bus back and forth 40💰
🚄High-speed rail: After exiting Luoyang Station, go to Luoyang Longmen Passenger Transport Station, take the high-speed bus ticket to Luanchuan, note that this car may need to wait, a car full of people will depart.
🇻🇳Group tour: This is more convenient, you can get on the bus directly at Luoyang Station/Longmen High-speed Railway Station, and go directly to Laojun Mountain First Cableway Entrance by high-speed, you can go up the mountain as soon as you get off the bus. The group includes (tickets➕round-trip car fare➕guide➕insurance)➕round-trip first cableway. This is more worry-free and convenient.
In summary: I personally think that self-driving🚗 and group tours are more convenient, other modes of travel require more transfers.

Pay attention to the detailed guide if you plan to go to Mount Laojun in Luoyang on New Year's Day
Be careful when going to Mount Laojun to avoid pitfalls. It's really worrying to see some people go down the mountain as soon as they reach the top because they don't have time to see the lights. Come and see this guide to Mount Laojun‼️‼️
1️⃣Don't go to Mount Laojun on Saturday. If you can go on Sunday, don't go on Saturday. There are many people on Saturday! Half less on Sunday!
2️⃣Don't go for night climbing anymore, Mount Laojun's night climbing is closed. If you want to climb at night, wait until next spring. Don't blindly go for night climbing! You can't climb even if you go.
3️⃣The uphill cable car closes at 4 pm, don't go too late, you can't go up if you go too late! The current lighting time is 5:40-6:10, there is a cable car down the mountain after watching the lights!
4️⃣There are many solicitors at the entrance of Luoyang Station and High-speed Railway Station, don't go, they will ignore you once they put you on the bus, and you have to wait a long time for the bus to leave. If you drive by yourself, it is recommended to navigate to Mount Laojun Yunjing Cableway, you can drive the car into the scenic area from the left side of the entrance, remember to park in the 13th parking lot P closest to the cableway entrance.
5️⃣The most convenient and cheapest way is to follow a one-day tour bus, the ticket and round-trip cable car only cost 110, and the ticket alone costs 100 if you go by yourself.
6️⃣You need to wear a down jacket to go up the mountain, it's below zero when watching the lights and sunset, there is no shelter at the Golden Palace, the wind is strong, and the perceived temperature is very low! You need to bring thick clothes. If you don't want to bring so many clothes for climbing, you can rent them, about 30.
7️⃣The wishing cards are cheaper at the foot of the mountain and more expensive on the mountain, 5 yuan each at the foot of the mountain and 201 on the mountain.
8️⃣Don't bring your own instant noodles to Mount Laojun, the hot water on the mountain is 5, and the prepared instant noodles are only 12. There are quite a lot of food on Mount Laojun, and it's not expensive. You can have a meal for a dozen or twenty, so you don't need to bring your own food.
9️⃣There are two sections of cable car on Mount Laojun. It is really recommended to take the uphill cable car. If you don't take it, you need to climb for 4-5 hours, and there will be no time to play later. If you don't want to climb at all, you can take two sections of cable car and elevator with the elderly and children, so you don't need to climb. The elevator on Mount Laojun is in the Ten Mile Picture Screen, not at the foot of the mountain. The elevator is 40, only up and not down😆🤣
🎈Don't take shortcuts and miss the Ten Mile Picture Screen. The scenery of the Ten Mile Picture Screen is very good! It's better than the Golden Palace. The Ten Mile Picture Screen is through the Fairyland Tunnel!
🎈Don't walk the stone steps at Zhongtianmen, take the wooden plank road on the right, the wooden plank road is gentle

Embarking on a splendid feast in the world
This is a millennium journey through the sea of clouds! 🚗Transportation: We drove ourselves, navigated to "Laojun Mountain Scenic Area", about 2.5 hours drive from Luoyang city.
Laojun Mountain is located in Luanchuan County, Luoyang, and is one of China's historical and cultural mountains. After we arrived, we directly entered the scenic area without needing to buy tickets. 🚡The cable car is a must-ride, because the road on the mountain is really hard to walk. We took a one-way trip for 80 yuan/person, and a round trip for 160 yuan/person.
We chose to climb at night, because the night view is really beautiful! 🌃The temperature is lower at night, so be sure to wear thick clothes and bring warm babies. We arrived at the Golden Summit around 5 o'clock in the morning and saw the beautiful sunrise! 🌄It's really spectacular!
Next is the issue of food. We brought some bread and biscuits to fill our hunger before going up the mountain, as well as a can of energy drink. It is recommended to prepare some snacks and water. It will be more expensive to buy on the mountain. 😋
It is recommended to bring a pair of comfortable hiking shoes or climbing shoes. Since the wind on the top of the mountain is very strong, you can bring a hat or scarf to keep warm. 🥾🧥
There are also some souvenir shops and snack stalls in the Laojun Mountain Scenic Area, where you can buy some small souvenirs or gifts for friends or family. 🎁
Next is the descent. Although it is a bit steep, don't worry, because many people are descending. Remember to be careful of the stones under your feet and the steep parts of the road. 🚶♀️
Overall, Laojun Mountain is a very worthwhile attraction! 🌄The sunrise is really beautiful, and the scenery on the mountain is also spectacular! If you like hiking and natural scenery, then you must go to Laojun Mountain! 👍

Autumn in Laojun Mountain
Laojun Mountain has been particularly popular in recent years, and people flock here for mountain climbing. All for the sunset at the top of the mountain and the lights on the golden dome. When the sun gradually sets and finally there is no light, the lights of the two golden domes and the Taoist temples suddenly light up, coupled with the reflection of the stream of climbers, it is really beautiful!
At 11 noon, we took the first cable car to Zhongtianmen and started to climb the mountain on foot. There are already beautiful sceneries. We walked and played to the Ten-Mile Picture Screen, where the scenery is even better. The vegetation is not as good as the mountains in Jiangxi or Anhui, but the momentum is still there. At 5 pm in the evening, we arrived at the golden dome just in time for the sunset. A perfect day. The return cable car queue for more than an hour and a half, we live in Zhongtianmen, saving the queue in the dark.

You must visit Mount Laojun in Luoyang, Henan this winter
You must visit Mount Laojun in Luoyang, Henan this winter. Love is separated by mountains and seas, and the mountains and seas cannot be leveled. When you look back after a long journey, you realize that the mountain is still a mountain.
Magnificent! Beautiful! Mount Laojun. There are too many places in Mount Laojun that can be described as majestic and spectacular, such as the various peak forest wonders known as the stone forest by the locals, the magnificent sea of clouds, the sunrise rolling in the mountains, the natural sky gate of the South Heaven Gate with steep cliffs and deep valleys, and the ingeniously crafted Liangbao Platform and Jade Emperor Peak. In short, there are countless spectacular places.

[Night climb Laojunshan to watch the sunrise]
Last night, we took a look at the sunrise of Laojun Mountain, we touched the black mountain, the wind raging along the way, the temperature is extremely low. We decided to stay in Laojunshan's homestay at night. The price here is 100 yuan. The conditions are simple but warm, and each bed is equipped with electric blankets.
We got up at four in the morning and slept for two hours. The best place to watch the sunrise in Laojun Mountain is located at the top of the main peak of Funiu Mountain. It is nearly half an hour away. We are sprinting along the road and crossing the mountainside. With the gust of wind, waiting for nearly an hour and a half, finally waiting for the sunrise. ##
