Impressions of Lanzhou 1. Lanzhou doesn't have ramen, only beef noodles. The beef noodles have small pieces of beef and radish, and you can add beef slices. The radish in the northwest is amazing, it doesn't taste like radish at all. 2. There is no subway from Lanzhou Airport to the city, but there is a high-speed train from the airport to Lanzhou West Railway Station. It takes only 5 minutes to walk from Zhongchuan Airport to the intercity high-speed train ticket gate, so you don't need to rush. "Afghanistan by day, Manhattan by night" I heard that Lanzhou's night view is beautiful, so you must go to Lanshan Park to see it. Guide You can take the subway, bus, or public electric bike to the carpool point at Andingmen. The specific location is to walk from Andingmen Bus Station to Baiyin Road. After passing the overpass, there is a carpool to Lanshan Park in the northwest corner. The fare to Ertaige and Santaige is CNY 10 per person. Recently, the sunset in Lanzhou is around 8:30 pm, so you can go up the mountain at 7 or 8 pm. There are many carpools going down the mountain at night, and there are even cars in the middle of the night. Tips 1. If you want to take photos, I recommend Ertaige, which is at an intersection. I also purchased additional insurance for peace of mind. The driver picked us up on time at 1:30 pm and headed to the scenic area. There is a section of completely suspended iron stairs, and the Ruyi Bridge itself is also suspended. I was afraid of heights when I climbed it. There was no one else, and I climbed the mountain with my hands and feet against the stairs. It was the scariest moment of the whole trip. Tips: There is food and water in the scenic area. If you bring your own, bring enough water and food, because you will need to walk for a long time and it will be physically demanding. Be sure to wear sunscreen. If the weather is good, you will be exposed to the sun the whole time, which is not much better than the desert. For your own safety, it is best to walk along the corridor by the road.

After driving for about an hour, we arrived at the Liujiakou Observation Deck. Standing on the observation deck, we can enjoy the beautiful scenery around us. The Yellow River is wide and calm, and the mountains on the opposite bank are continuous and colorful. The water below the mountains is yellowish-red and blends with the mountains. The water surface is emerald green, and the slopes of the Danxia landform are covered with dark green vegetation. The artificial dam fence, pavilions and bridges show the harmonious beauty of human and nature. Liujiakou Reservoir is the first million-kilowatt hydropower project designed, constructed and built by China during the First Five-Year Plan. It was started in 1958 and completed in 1974, marking a milestone in China's hydropower industry. It has multiple functions including power generation, flood control, irrigation, aquaculture, navigation and tourism. The reservoir is located in a plateau canyon, and the cliffs on both sides are typical Danxia landforms, known as the "Pearl of the Plateau". The Liujiakou Hydropower Plant is responsible for commissioning and managing the hydropower station, supplying electricity to Shaanxi, Gansu and Qinghai provinces. Two or three minutes after leaving the Liujiakou Dam, we arrived at the Huanghe Museum and a corner of the Bingshan Scenic Area. The museum was closed for unknown reasons, so we took a quick look around the park. We also learned about the Bingshan Scenic Area. The Bingshan Temple Grottoes were first built in the first year of Jianhong in the Western Qin Dynasty (420 AD), and have a history of over 1600 years. The most typical are stone sculptures, relief pagodas and esoteric murals, which are known as the three major grottoes of Gansu along with Mogao Grottoes and Maijishan Grottoes. Our trip will focus on visiting Mogao Grottoes, so Bingshan Temple is not included in the plan. At around 1:00 pm, we entered Yongdeng County, Lanzhou City, and visited Shuimo Danxia.
