Enter from "Zhongshan Park" to experience the secret spots of West Lake. 5️⃣ Maojiabu Part of the inner West Lake, not too crowded, with February orchids blooming in spring, stunningly beautiful. 6️⃣ Yu Hu Bay Walk from "Yu Hu Bay" to "Santai Mountain", all the way beautiful scenery, especially the late cherry blossoms in early April. 7️⃣ Majiawu A newly popular viewing platform, where you can overlook West Lake, with a great view. 8️⃣ Lu Bird Town Hangzhou's backyard, with clear mountains and water, various waterfalls, suitable for playing in the water in April and May. 9️⃣ Hangzhou Flower Nursery This park is really not crowded, but it's big and nice to stroll around, and free. 🔟 Prince Bay Park The tulips are blooming recently, colorful and bright. Don't just focus on West Lake, Nine Creeks is a spring treasure I thought the beauty of West Lake was unique, until I stepped into Nine Creeks in Hangzhou, I realized what a hidden gem it is! Nine Creeks is called "Little Jiuzhaigou" by many people. Here, the streams flow, the bamboo forests are as dense as a green ocean, and the tea gardens are filled with the aroma of tea. It is a perfect place for a spring hike. Whether you are an average tourist or a hiking enthusiast, you can find the most suitable way to enjoy yourself here. Attraction Introduction • Nine Creeks Bus Stop: This is an important transportation hub for everyone arriving at Nine Creeks. Various buses gather here, and you can start your Nine Creeks journey as soon as you get off the bus. It's free to enter and exit, and it's the starting point of the journey. • Nine Creeks Smoke Trees: The most famous attraction in Nine Creeks, it is listed as one of the ten new scenic spots of West Lake. On sunny days, the sun shines through the trees and sprinkles on the winding streams, making them sparkle. When the fog is thick, the streams, green trees, and mountains are looming in the fog, like a fairyland. It's free and open all day, and it's the essence of Nine Creeks. • Longjing Village: The famous Longjing tea producing area, where every household grows and makes tea. Walking through it, you can see large areas of neat tea gardens, and you can also go into the tea farmers' homes to taste authentic Longjing tea and experience the charm of tea culture. The village is free and open all year round. • Ten Mile Corridor: It is the longest mountain ridge in Hangzhou, with an altitude of about 200 meters. Along the way, there are large tea gardens and dense forests, with a very wide view. Looking out from the mountain, the rolling hills and picturesque scenery make it a paradise for hikers. However, there are no tickets and no specific opening hours. • Meijiawu Village: Also a place rich in Longjing tea, unlike Longjing Village, the commercial atmosphere here is relatively stronger, with many farmhouses and tea houses for tourists to rest. Free to enter and exit, you can enjoy a leisurely afternoon here. • Yunqi Bamboo Trail: Here, the green bamboos are lush, the streams are murmuring, and the air is exceptionally fresh. Walking on the stone road, surrounded by green bamboos, it's like entering a green fairy tale world. Tickets are 8 yuan, and park card holders can enter for free. Best Travel Routes • Lazy Version: Starting from the Nine Creeks bus stop, if you don't want to walk, you can take the sightseeing bus directly to Nine Creeks Smoke Trees for 8 yuan. After enjoying the beautiful scenery, walk to the entrance of Longjing Village, the whole journey takes about 2 hours. This route is relaxing and suitable for those who want a leisurely tour. • Average Physical Strength Version: Starting from the Nine Creeks bus stop, first go to Nine Creeks Smoke Trees, then to the entrance of Longjing Village, and then walk into Longjing Village to experience the rich aroma of tea. After that, step onto the Ten Mile Corridor, walk to the entrance of Longjing Village, and continue to the entrance of Meijiawu Village, the whole journey takes about 4-5 hours. If you feel tired, you can stop at Longjing Village at any time to rest, eat, and drink tea. If you don't want to go back, it's perfectly fine to play in the opposite direction. • In-depth Tour Version: Starting from Yunqi Bamboo Trail, stroll through the bamboo forest and feel the fresh air. Then walk to Nine Creeks Smoke Trees, walk along the stream, and pass by Longjing Village, Ten Mile Corridor, and Meijiawu Village in turn. The whole journey takes about 6-8 hours. This route covers most of the attractions in Nine Creeks and is suitable for those who have plenty of time and are physically fit. Precautions • It is recommended to arrange Nine Creeks Smoke Trees in the first half of the itinerary, because the scenery here is the most beautiful, and you can better appreciate its beauty when you are full of energy. • The Ten Mile Corridor from Longjing to Meijiawu is not recommended for people with poor physical strength. The scenery is relatively ordinary, and the sun is very strong when the weather is good. • Friends who choose the second or third route can rest and adjust in Longjing Village, eat, drink tea, and replenish their energy. • If you are driving by yourself, you need to book parking in advance on "Palm West Lake". Hey friends, hiking in Shili Langdang was definitely the highlight of my Hangzhou trip🎉! We wisely avoided the crowded attractions like Lingyin Temple and opted for a hike in less-traveled areas like Jiuxi and Shili Langdang. Initially, we were worried about hiking in the rain and the long route, but after experiencing it firsthand, we realized we would have regretted missing it. In the late winter and early spring, amidst the misty rain, walking through the area felt just like the leisurely scene depicted in the poem, "With bamboo staff and straw sandals, lighter than a horse, I embrace the misty rain with a peaceful heart." 📖 Here's my favorite route: Start from the Meijiawu bus stop—head to Shili Langdang—walk to Sanfencha (the three-way intersection south of the "Sanfencha" marker on the map, then continue south)—arrive at Zhenji Temple (a great spot to grab some instant noodles)—then to Jiuxicun Village—take the sightseeing bus to Jiuxi Yanshu—stroll through the Jiuxi Eighteen Streams—finally, choose to go to Yangmeiling or Longjingcun Village. 🙌 Meijiawu was my favorite village on this trip, natural and rustic, yet to be overdeveloped. Instead of starting the hike from the Shili Langdang archway, we took the second intersection on the right, which led us to the stone steps of Shili Langdang. Along the way, we stumbled upon a stunning hillside tea garden and natural scenery, which was absolutely my favorite part of the entire journey. Unfortunately, on my second visit, perhaps because the rain had stopped, three large dogs blocked a village road, forcing us to turn back. 👍 South of Shili Langdang is Zhenji Temple, a place said to have been visited by Chairman Mao multiple times. They offer affordable instant noodles, and the temple staff are very welcoming. We took a break there for lunch. 🚌 This loop is quite long. Once you reach Jiuxicun Village, consider taking the scenic sightseeing bus for CNY 8 per person. It's a great deal and takes you directly to Jiuxi Yanshu, from where you can continue on foot. ⭐ Both Longjingcun Village and Yangmeiling are great choices for your final destination. Both have convenient bus stops, but be sure to check the operating hours. The route to Longjingcun Village is a stone path with many streams, while the route to Yangmeiling features gentle slopes and high-tree swamps. Each has its own unique charm. ❗ Finally, a reminder: The section between Shili Langdang and Jiuxi can be slippery when it rains, so avoid the central stone path. Meijiawu has many private tea gardens and non-scenic roads that can be dangerous. Stick to the stone steps, be careful not to get lost, and avoid venturing onto the wild mountainside. On a clear day, the visibility is high, and the West Lake is clearly visible. ▫️ If you have trekking poles, bring them. How can there be such a beautiful hiking trail in such an urban area? As soon as you enter the JiuXi bus station, you are captivated by the misty jungle and stream. Walking further into the mountains, the streams are crystal clear and the tea gardens lush green. It's a blissful four hours of oxygen intake, following the route from JiuXi to JiuXi YanShu to Longjing Village to Shili Langdang to Wuyun Mountain, which takes close to four hours. The only challenging part is the climb at Shili Langdang!

Spring is the busy season for tea picking🌿 Climbing the tea mountains is the most suitable activity. The tea mountains near Longjing village rise along the slopes, presenting a spectacular view. The uniformly dressed tea farmers, with their straw hats, are busily picking the tea leaves. . 🚶Route: From the Ten-mile Langya Archway to the three-way fork and back the same way, the route is not too difficult, and children can complete it with occasional rests. 📷: The most photogenic spots are in the first half of the journey; those who only wish to take photos can even turn back at the pavilion at the beginning (the pavilion is shown in the last picture). 🚗Transportation: During the tea season, the area is crowded, and taxis are regulated so it's hard to get a ride to Longjing village. It's also not recommended to drive as it's congested, and even walking is difficult. It's suggested to travel by two-wheeled vehicles🛵🚴

Starting from the ten-mile Langying signpost, a direct climb of about 3 kilometers takes you to a three-way junction, and then you can head down. Returning the same way is already very tiring. It is advised that everyone should proceed according to their ability. There are no toilets or places to sit on the way up, you can only keep ascending. It is only on the way down that you will find places selling food and drinks, so make sure to bring enough supplies. It feels like going on a cloudy or rainy day would be more atmospheric than on a sunny day. Today the weather is good, so I came out to record the Jiuxi Eighteen Streams—Longjing Village—Shili Langdang one-day hike Hangzhou classic hiking route, from 9:30 am to 2:00 pm, 13.5km, 4.5 hours, the most beautiful scenery along the way is undoubtedly in Longjing Village, the origin of Longjing tea, with picturesque scenery. After arriving at Longjing Village, don't immediately cross the archway of Shili Langdang to go up the mountain. It is recommended to first visit the famous 18 ancient Longjing tea trees, with an entrance fee of 10 yuan, and then go to the tea garden across the road, where you can overlook the entire Longjing Village. The most exhausting part of the journey is the section from Longjing Village through Shili Langdang to the top of the mountain, which takes about 40 minutes to climb. If you are driving, there is a parking lot at the entrance of the scenic area, 10 yuan per hour. I've been wanting to hike for a long time. Early in the morning, I took the high-speed train from Shanghai to Hangzhou, took a taxi from Longxiangqiao subway station to the entrance of Jiuxi 18 Stream, and walked along the way, accidentally entering Yangmeiling. I was amazed by the towering trees of Yangmeiling. If it weren't for the stone-paved road, it would be like being in a primeval forest. Because I was going to Jiuxi Yan Village, I returned to Jiuxi 18 Stream to Longjing Village, climbed ten miles to Wuyun Mountain to see the 1400-year-old ginkgo tree, the top of the mountain has a stunning view, from the top of the mountain you can see Hangzhou city and West Lake. Then I took the bus from Yunshan Bamboo Sea to a park. Although tired, I was very happy, then had a barbecue, and returned to Shanghai by high-speed train at more than nine o'clock in the evening. Before going, I saw that this route has recently been crowded with people, so I studied the route map and found that perhaps fewer people would go if we walked in reverse. So I booked a homestay in Yunqi Bamboo Path and set off after buying tickets! On Saturday and Sunday at 9am, depart from Yunqi and encounter no more than 10 people all the way to Zhenji Temple. The crowd only starts to increase after reaching the three-way intersection, but the journey is already halfway through. The most crowded section is in Longjing Village, but it is not as crowded as shown in the online map. Walk and take photos along the way. Take a photo and arrive near Jiuxi Bus Stop around 1pm. Scan a shared bike and ride to Wuguitan. Lie under the shade of a tree until around 5pm and then go eat. No anxiety about congestion throughout the whole journey! For the section of the road that climbs up to Shililangdang, we happened to be descending, so if you don't have particularly good physical strength and don't want to be crowded, you can start from Yunqi with us~
