A Swiss Marvel!
Location: Zurich, northern Switzerland.
Getting there: The international airport flies to most major European cities. You can also get the train from Milan, Vienna or Stuttgart.
Switzerland is a wonderful choise for a holiday and Zurich is my favourite city there. There are excellent views of the alps from the city bridges, you can see the Swiss cathedral spires dominating the skyline. There are really nice tiny restaurants by the river you can enjoy.
Tip: Take the tram fifteen minutes away from the center to stay in a hotel there. It's a LOT cheaper than staying in the expensive centre.

Switzerland Travel | Walking in the Oil Painting-like Zurich
Backed by the Alps, Zurich is the largest city in Switzerland. "Zurich" means "water town" in Celtic, and the Limmat River separates the old and new city areas, with the southern end of the city being Lake Zurich.
The crescent-shaped Lake Zurich, with one end deep into the center of Zurich and the other extending southeast. The leisurely white swans can be seen everywhere on the lake, walking along the lake as if walking in a painting, beautiful and healing.
The Zurich Cathedral, founded in 1100, is a landmark building in Zurich. The unique twin towers have long been a symbol of the city, blending various architectural styles such as Romanesque and Neo-Gothic. Almost all postcards of Zurich feature the silhouette of this cathedral.
The old town of Zurich is a must-visit place, with cobblestone streets lined with elegant and beautiful ancient buildings, permeated with a nostalgic and retro atmosphere. Here, you can truly experience the life of Zurich people, with various shops including bookstores, flower shops, fashion jewelry and antique shops, etc. The famous Bahnhofstrasse is here, as one of the world's most expensive shopping streets, offering top luxury brands, jewelry, private banks, and everything you could want.
This is not a big city, one day is enough to explore, but there are many places worth checking in. No need for any guide, you can walk around and enjoy the leisure of strolling.

Zurich is a melting pot of culture! ❤️
Zurich is well worth a visit for its fascinating museums, epic nightlife, extravagant shopping, and discovering different cuisines. However, you cannot yet view any breathtaking mountains and spectacular glaciers in Zurich. It’s the gorgeous churches, picturesque lake, and fantastic zoo you’ll find instead.
I honestly think you must give Zurich at least a day or two if you have plenty of time to spend traveling in Switzerland.
Top picks
- Augustiner Street
- St Peter’s Church
- Fraumunster Church
- Zurich town hall

Lake Zurich is a lake in Switzerland, extending southeast of the city of Zürich. Depending on the context, Lake Zurich or Zürichsee can be used to describe the lake as a whole, or just that part of the lake downstream of the Seedamm at Rapperswil, whilst the part upstream of Rapperswil may be called the Obersee or Upper Lake.

i’m having so much fun in Zurich, Switzerland. i met with my friend, and we go to the cafe and just walk around the river. i really like the view in Switzerland so calm, and really pretty. every part of the city makes me amazed. eventho the prices are really expensive there, but that’s worth with the price. I’ll go back to Switzerland for sure at the future! #gooutside #passionpassport #switzerland #summervacation #cafe #urbanexplorer #zurich #naturalwonders

The Zurich Lake
Lake Zürich is a lake in Switzerland, extending southeast of the city of Zürich. Depending on the context, Lake Zürich or Zürichsee can be used to describe the lake as a whole, or just that part of the lake downstream of the Seedamm at Rapperswil, whilst the part upstream of Rapperswil may be called the Obersee or Upper Lake. Lake Zürich is formed by the Linth river, which rises in the glaciers of the Glarus Alps and was diverted by the Escher canal (completed in 1811) into Lake Walen from where its waters are carried to the east end of Lake Zürich by means of the Linth canal (completed in 1816). The waters of the Lake of Zürich flow out of the lake at its north-west end (Quaibrücke), passing through the city of Zürich; however, the outflow is then called the Limmat. The culminating point of the lake's drainage basin is the Tödi at 3,614 metres above sea level. #travelinspiration

Small Zurich, teach you to play differently on National Day!
Many people say that Zurich is not very fun. It is almost half a day to visit all the sights. In fact, Zurichs beauty is hidden in every corner! Recommend two very interesting places today!

Swiss journey: Sharing beloved towns and cities 🇨🇭
Where to Go in 2024 🌍
This Swiss journey took us on a grand tour of the entire country, passing through snow-capped mountains, lakes, and quaint towns. From Zermatt to Montreux and Interlaken, to Lucerne, Zurich, and Geneva, every step felt like wandering through a painting. Lungern, a picturesque town with few tourists, was particularly enchanting, making us want to stay and become a carefree dog 🐶. The awe-inspiring beauty of Zermatt was also unforgettable. Here are some of our favorite towns and cities:
✔️ Lungern (Photos 1 & 2) 🏔️🌊
Surrounded by snow-capped mountains, waterfalls, rivers, emerald lakes, and churches, Lungern is a veritable paradise on a sunny day. The Tiffany blue hue of Lake Lungern is simply mesmerizing, and the sight of trains passing through the town makes it feel as if time itself has been captivated by the stunning scenery.
✔️ Zermatt (Photos 3 & 4) 🏔️❄️
Nestled beneath the majestic Matterhorn, this enchanting town was blanketed in snow during our visit, making it feel like a true fairytale. Zermatt is undoubtedly one of Switzerland's top destinations, and we even had the chance to try snow paragliding, an exhilarating experience!
✔️ Montreux (Photo 5) 🏰🌸
With a lakeside castle, flowers, and snow-capped mountains in the distance, Montreux offers breathtaking views of the Alps and a serene atmosphere. Strolling along the promenade, one can truly appreciate the grandeur and tranquility of the region.
✔️ Interlaken (Photos 6-8) 🏞️🚶♂️
Home to Lake Brienz, Switzerland's purest lake with crystal-clear waters, and the panoramic trail of Lake Thun, Interlaken offers stunning vistas at every turn. It's also an outdoor enthusiast's paradise, with opportunities for hiking, climbing, and mountaineering.
✔️ Zurich (Photo 9) 🏙️🎨
As Switzerland's financial and cultural hub, Zurich boasts a rich artistic atmosphere and fascinating historical sites. Take a leisurely stroll along the beautiful Lake Zurich or explore the city's historic churches and museums in the old town.

7 Must-Do Day Trips in Zurich, Switzerland
As the most important city in Switzerland, the best way to experience Zurich is by strolling through the city. There are several places highly recommended for a visit.
1️⃣Bahnhofstrasse
Home to the world's top luxury brands and private banks, Bahnhofstrasse is one of the most expensive streets in the world. Shopping here is a pleasure, but just browsing is also great.
2️⃣St. Peter's Church
There are many places named St. Peter's Church around the world, but Zurich's St. Peter's Church is not only the oldest in the city, but its tower also houses the largest church clock in Europe.
3️⃣Lindenhof Hill
Don't think that just because it's called a 'hill' you have to climb; it's a hill that you can easily ascend, offering an excellent view from the top and a great spot to overlook the entire city of Zurich. It was also a filming location for 'Crash Landing on You'.
4️⃣Augustinergasse
Located near Bahnhofstrasse, this street is full of atmospheric restaurants, and of course, the Swiss cheese fondue here is famous.
5️⃣Lake Zurich
Walking south from Bahnhofstrasse, you'll reach Lake Zurich, where there are many swans. Sitting on a bench by the lake and watching the swans glide by is the most romantic way to relax.
6️⃣ETH Zurich
This is the alma mater of the scientific giant Einstein. Einstein's locker is still on the F floor of the ETH main building. You can also go up to the main building's viewing platform to overlook the Zurich cityscape.
7️⃣Kunsthaus Zurich
If time permits, you can spend a whole day here admiring masterpieces by Van Gogh, Picasso, Monet, and others.
⚠️Note:
Be sure to wear comfortable shoes.
Although Switzerland is part of the Schengen Area, it is not in the Eurozone, and the cost of living is very high.
If it's inconvenient to carry luggage, you can store it at the station, which costs about 8 Swiss Francs.

Switzerland is accompanied by snow mountains all the way
Switzerland🇨🇭 is worth living in this life
⭐Switzerland, the backyard of God, the lake and mountain scenery of Switzerland, must go in this life.
⭐Rigi Mountain
Blue-green tone, the view from the top of the mountain is wide, between the green mountains of different depths, inlaid with large pieces of sapphire-like lakes, the small mountain train seems to go straight to the clouds, you can picnic or walk.
⭐Matterhorn
Pure snow mountains are always worth seeing, especially this is the Matterhorn. It's very photogenic to take pictures of the reflection in the water when the weather is good, and friends who like hiking can't miss it.
⭐Lake Brienz
Most of the lakes in Switzerland are beautiful, but they are often similar. Only Lake Brienz is the one I specifically went to see. The lake is so blue that I want to dive into it, and the afternoon light and shadow are too beautiful. Be sure to take a water route when you come here
⭐Zurich
A city with a sense of story, go to Lake Zurich to feed swans, stroll in the old city, look at the city panorama at Einstein's alma mater, and then eat a cheese hot pot, comfortable and at ease.
⭐Lucerne
A free and romantic city built by the water, can be arranged with Rigi Mountain, the waterway scenery along the way to Rigi Mountain by boat in the city center Lucerne Lake is also very beautiful.
⭐Dragon River Town
The blue lake and the wooden house village built by the mountain are the paradise town where everyone wants to live.
⭐Grindelwald
The town with a dreamy slope at the foot of the snow mountain, you can go to the snow mountain during the day, go to the dreamy slope to watch the sunset in the evening, I saw the unforgettable sunset in life here, and took the photos of life.
⭐Zermatt
The fairy tale town in the snow mountain valley, go to the viewing platform at the blue hour to see the panoramic view of the town under the background of the Matterhorn, has become the cover of countless Swiss notes, the town has many shops to visit, and there are many choices for accommodation.

Who said that thorns must always hurt people 🤓 They can also be beautiful.
Hiking around Lake Zurich, passing by a garden full of cacti 🪴 with many giant cacti, seven to eight meters tall. One of the plants is called stone lotus or stone garlic, which looks like a horseshoe and also like a small butt.
The botanical garden is called Sukkulenten-Sammlung Zürich, and it's a ten-minute walk from Enge station.

Beautiful Zurich

Quaibrücke Bridge
I would say a definite stop should be the Quaibrücke bridge. Dating from the late 1800s, this bridge over the Limmat has lanes for cars, pedestrians & trams. Take a moment to look on both sides of the bridge and observe the piece and tranquillity this city exerts.
Quaianlagen Park
From Quaibrücke bridge head over in the narrow park of Quaianlagen. It offers ample places to sit and observe street performers with a spectacular background of the city itself mirrored by the lake Zurich. I found it quite relaxing to sit down on a bench and just watch pedestrians walk by whilst I enjoyed some swiss chocolate snacks.

Follow the Bahnhofstrasse in front of the Zurich train station and follow the Limmat River. About 15 minutes, you will see the beautiful Lake Zurich.
Zurich Lake is very clear in the summer. There are many people and tourists swimming in the lake. There are locker rooms for the tourists to change clothes and lounge chairs for rest and swimming with swarms of swans and waterfowl. Special experience / hc / Although we are coming in winter, the beauty of Lake Zurich is not a square because it is the "hometown of the mountain". The weather in Switzerland is changing very fast. It is just a little while standing by the lake to see the sun through the clouds in the lake. In the middle of the light and shadow, you can see the top of the cloud when the clouds are thicker. If you are a parent-child, dont forget to bring a piece of bread and feed the ducks and swan with the children. Its very interesting
you can buy tickets at the lake. The tour
ticket is divided into:

If there is no such flower cluster, the swans swimming in Lake Zurich, the world will lose what a wonderful lake and mountains. The crescent-shaped Lake Zurich is the spirituality of the city. When we reach the lake, the rain showers took a rest, the sun started to shine on the lake. The boats and the swans were moving in the water, and the lovers sit by the lakeside. In the distance, you can also see the people running and walking their dogs by the lakeside as the Swiss are all physically sporty. Zurich, Switzerland is said to be the most expensive place in Europe. Countless bankers, celebrities and business giants are living here. The whole city seems to be filled with the taste of good wine and ambiance. But it was such an afternoon, after the rain, Lake Zurich shined in the sun, young readers sat quietly on the bench by the lake, and not far away, the two swans were moving slowly through the ground to go in the lake. I think the whole world should be quiet for a while.
