After exploring the castle, we took a stroll through the town, enjoying gelato from a local shop as we wandered along the lake’s edge. The clear, blue waters of Lake Garda were so inviting that we couldn’t resist renting a small boat for an hour (around €40). Cruising on the lake with the mountains in the distance was a highlight of the trip. Later, we visited the thermal baths at Aquaria (entry €36), where we relaxed in the warm, healing waters while gazing out at the lake. As the day ended, we found a cozy lakeside restaurant and enjoyed a delicious meal as the sun set over the water. Lake Garda is a perfect mix of adventure, relaxation, and Italian charm. It is located at the southern foot of the Alps in northern Italy. It is a lake formed by the melting of glaciers. The clear lake surface is picturesque and there are many high-end resort hotels on the shore. , has been a summer resort for nobles since the Middle Ages, and is now a European resort. The traffic in Lake Garda is relatively inconvenient, so it is more suitable to drive there. However, there are many people in the summer peak season, and the roads are not big and only have second-lane roads, so there are often long queues of cars. #Sirmione is a lakeside town located at the southern end of Lake Garda. Lake Garda is a popular destination both for italian and foreign tourists. Maybe because of its gorgeous colors or maybe for its peculiar towns that host a great variety of romantic restaurants. Sure it is a nice way to spend the weekend away from the city. We loved getting lost in the narrow streets of Sirmione and then discovering the historical part of the town. Some people even like to swim in the lake since the water level is low but the stones don't make it that easy. The prices of food and of any service in the town get high easily because of the great number of tourists visiting the city. You'd better spend the night in a nearby city. #eurotrip

Lake Garda Lemon Town.

Lake Garda is very close to Verona, about a 10-minute drive, and about 2 hours from Venice. Tickets are only sold 20 minutes before departure. I bought a day pass for about 35 euros. The boat stops at many small towns. I recommend sitting on the right side of the boat for both the outbound and return trips. The small towns in the south of Lake Garda are more commercialized and have many tourists, while the small towns in the north are much better. I recommend Limone and Malcesine. However, since we were returning on the same day, we were in a hurry. The boat ride takes 3 hours each way, but it is very chill. If you have time, you can choose to stay overnight and visit more small towns.

On my first day, I explored Sirmione, a charming town located on a narrow peninsula that stretches out into the lake. The Scaliger Castle, with its impressive moat, is a must-visit. Entry was about €6, and the views from the top were breathtaking! 🏰 Afterward, I took a dip in the thermal waters at Aquaria Thermal Spa, which was the perfect way to unwind. Day two was all about adventure! I took a ferry to Malcesine and went up Monte Baldo on the cable car (around €22 round trip). The ride offered panoramic views of the lake and the Alps that were simply unforgettable. 🌄 At the top, I did some light hiking and even paragliding for the first time – what a thrill! Later, I strolled through Malcesine’s medieval streets, enjoying gelato and shopping for souvenirs. 🍦 On my last day, I visited Riva del Garda, on the northern tip of the lake.
