This summer, I spent an unforgettable day at Lake Garda in Italy, and it was nothing short of magical! We started our visit in the picturesque town of Sirmione, known for its charming streets and the impressive Scaliger Castle. The entrance fee to the castle was about €8, and climbing to the top rewarded us with stunning panoramic views of the lake.
After exploring the castle, we took a stroll through the town, enjoying gelato from a local shop as we wandered along the lake’s edge. The clear, blue waters of Lake Garda were so inviting that we couldn’t resist renting a small boat for an hour (around €40). Cruising on the lake with the mountains in the distance was a highlight of the trip.
Later, we visited the thermal baths at Aquaria (entry €36), where we relaxed in the warm, healing waters while gazing out at the lake. As the day ended, we found a cozy lakeside restaurant and enjoyed a delicious meal as the sun set over the water.
Lake Garda is a perfect mix of adventure, relaxation, and Italian charm. It’s a destination I’ll never forget! 🚤🍦 #trip #LakeGarda #ItalianLakes #Sirmione #ScenicViews #SummerGetaway

Summer resorts in northern Italy: Lake Garda & Simione
It was rare that I traveled to Italy for the first time and I chose to go with a tour group. However, because of the convenience of a tour bus, I unexpectedly visited Lake Garda and the small town of Simioni in northern Italy.
#GardaLake Lago di Garda is the largest lake in Italy. It is located at the southern foot of the Alps in northern Italy. It is a lake formed by the melting of glaciers. The clear lake surface is picturesque and there are many high-end resort hotels on the shore. , has been a summer resort for nobles since the Middle Ages, and is now a European resort.
The traffic in Lake Garda is relatively inconvenient, so it is more suitable to drive there. However, there are many people in the summer peak season, and the roads are not big and only have second-lane roads, so there are often long queues of cars.
#Sirmione is a lakeside town located at the southern end of Lake Garda. It is a long and narrow peninsula. There is a Skalagar castle on the peninsula. The fortress was built in the 13th century and was under the rule of the Venetian Republic at that time.
Nowadays, Simioni has become a popular tourist and holiday attraction. There are many restaurants and hotels on the island. The warm sunshine and cool breeze blowing, walking on the streets of the ancient city are quite comfortable and comfortable.

Sirmione, picturesque town on Lake Garda.
Lake Garda is a popular destination both for italian and foreign tourists. Maybe because of its gorgeous colors or maybe for its peculiar towns that host a great variety of romantic restaurants.
Sure it is a nice way to spend the weekend away from the city.
We loved getting lost in the narrow streets of Sirmione and then discovering the historical part of the town. Some people even like to swim in the lake since the water level is low but the stones don't make it that easy.
The prices of food and of any service in the town get high easily because of the great number of tourists visiting the city. You'd better spend the night in a nearby city.

Lake Misurina (Italian: Lago di Misurina; Cadorino dialect: Lago de Meśorìna) is the largest natural lake of the Cadore and it is 1,754 m above sea level, near Auronzo di Cadore (Belluno). The lake's perimeter is 2.6 km long, while the maximum depth is 5 m. Near the lake there are about ten hotels with accommodation for around 500 people.
The particular climatic characteristics of the area around the lake make particularly good air for those who have respiratory diseases. Near the lake is the only center in Italy for the care of childhood asthma.
The lake was the theme of a famous song by Claudio Baglioni. Lake Misurina is also the theme of the theatrical representation of the Longane di Lozzo.
Lake Misurina is where the speed skating events were held during the 1956 Winter Olympics of Cortina d'Ampezzo – the last time Olympic speed skating events were held on natural ice.
Misurina lies on the route of the Dolomites Gold Cup Race.

Lake Garda Lemon Town.
Lake Garda is very close to Verona, about a 10-minute drive, and about 2 hours from Venice. Tickets are only sold 20 minutes before departure. I bought a day pass for about 35 euros. The boat stops at many small towns. I recommend sitting on the right side of the boat for both the outbound and return trips. The small towns in the south of Lake Garda are more commercialized and have many tourists, while the small towns in the north are much better. I recommend Limone and Malcesine. However, since we were returning on the same day, we were in a hurry. The boat ride takes 3 hours each way, but it is very chill. If you have time, you can choose to stay overnight and visit more small towns.

Spent 3 days at Garda lake 🇮🇹
#italytrip
Spending three days at Lake Garda in Italy was an absolute dream! 🏞️ This stunning lake, surrounded by picturesque towns, lush mountains, and olive groves, is perfect for anyone looking to relax and soak up the natural beauty of Italy. On my first day, I explored Sirmione, a charming town located on a narrow peninsula that stretches out into the lake. The Scaliger Castle, with its impressive moat, is a must-visit. Entry was about €6, and the views from the top were breathtaking! 🏰 Afterward, I took a dip in the thermal waters at Aquaria Thermal Spa, which was the perfect way to unwind.
Day two was all about adventure! I took a ferry to Malcesine and went up Monte Baldo on the cable car (around €22 round trip). The ride offered panoramic views of the lake and the Alps that were simply unforgettable. 🌄 At the top, I did some light hiking and even paragliding for the first time – what a thrill! Later, I strolled through Malcesine’s medieval streets, enjoying gelato and shopping for souvenirs. 🍦
On my last day, I visited Riva del Garda, on the northern tip of the lake. The atmosphere here was more laid-back. I rented a bike and rode along the scenic trails by the water, then relaxed with a delicious seafood lunch at a lakeside restaurant. The combination of crystal-clear water, historic towns, and outdoor activities makes Lake Garda the perfect getaway! 🌅 #trip #LakeGarda #ItalyAdventure #Sirmione #MonteBaldo #LakesideLiving

How many people have visited Sirmione on Lake Garda?
Many people consider Sirmione to be an off-the-beaten-path tourist destination, but that's not the case. Sirmione is actually one of the most popular towns on Italy's famous Lake Garda.
The castle in Sirmione is very distinctive, with its typical medieval style square tower. The castle is now open to the public as a museum, and from the top of the castle tower, you can overlook Lake Garda.
Just outside the castle is the central street of Sirmione, with its maze-like interwoven alleys. There are exquisite craft shops and cafes everywhere, and Sirmione also has several Michelin-starred restaurants, making it one of the places with the highest concentration of Michelin restaurants.
Visiting Sirmione also allows you to take a boat trip on Lake Garda, and of course, Sirmione's hot springs are also very famous. Staying here, you definitely should experience the hot springs.
The best way to get from Milan to Sirmione is by car, with scenic views along the way. Of course, you can also take a train to Desenzano station or Peschiera del Garda station, and then take another train to Sirmione.

The family trip to Lake Garda was nothing short of magical. As we arrived, the shimmering waters greeted us, surrounded by towering mountains and picturesque villages. We spent our days exploring the charming towns along the shoreline, indulging in delicious gelato, and cruising on the crystal-clear waters. The kids were thrilled to try out various water sports, while my partner and I enjoyed leisurely strolls along the lakeside promenades. Evenings were spent dining al fresco, savoring delectable Italian cuisine while watching the sunset paint the sky in hues of orange and pink. It was a vacation filled with laughter, joy, and cherished family moments.
Looking ahead to our next dream destination, I envision us embarking on an unforgettable journey to the breathtaking landscapes of New Zealand. From the rugged mountains of the South Island to the lush greenery of the North Island, New Zealand offers a diverse range of experiences for every member of the family. We'll explore stunning national parks, encounter unique wildlife, and immerse ourselves in the Maori culture. Whether it's hiking through pristine wilderness, relaxing on golden beaches, or indulging in world-class cuisine, New Zealand promises an adventure of a lifetime for our family.

A medieval town by Lake Garda
These past two years, the fairy-tale worlds in Europe have become increasingly scarce, huh. At the beginning of September, during my travels in Italy, I discovered a small town📍Malcesine, which still retains some of that feeling. Malcesine is located on the northeastern side of Italy's largest lake, Lake Garda.
❤Walking on the cobblestone streets of Malcesine is a pleasure in itself, as if you are in a fairy-tale world.
📝The history of this small town dates back to the Middle Ages, with the castle built by the powerful Scaligeri family of Verona, its tall towers standing on the rocks, overlooking the entire town. From the top of the castle tower, overlooking the town and the lake, time seems to stop. The old houses, narrow alleys, corner squares, orange rooftops, and the castle all exude a medieval atmosphere.
If you travel to Italy, this small town is worth visiting; it is 60 kilometers from Verona and 200 kilometers from Venice.

The happy boat captain on Lake Garda
Leaving the Dolomiti Park and coming to the small town of Sirmione, it is said that this is one of the many small towns in the Lake Garda area and is the most beautiful resort in Italy.
The town is located on a peninsula of Lake Garda, and there are many medieval houses in the town, which are now used as holiday hotels. The wall materials of the houses seem to be some irregularly shaped slabs or stones, but they are all incredibly smooth and tidy.
As expected, Lake Garda is indeed beautiful. The lake is very large, with both the charm of the lake and the grandeur of the sea. Some water birds, ducks, and black swans chase and play on the water... It's a pity that the weather is not beautiful, the clouds are thick, and the lake is foggy.
Chartered a yacht to visit Lake Garda, admire the sparkling lake and mountains, and view the ancient Roman ruins, medieval castles, and town scenery from the water. The boat captain is a passionate middle-aged man, wearing a white shirt and a white hat, skillfully driving the yacht, and introducing the sights on the shore and the mysteries in the water in Italian that no one can understand, and then turning on the disco music on the boat, creating a passionate atmosphere. The young people who were with him were immediately motivated, twisting and dancing, and the yacht on the water turned into a disco, and the laughter flew over the lake.
