Address: 721-1 Higashishiokojicho, Shimogyo Ward, Kyoto, 600-8216, Japan
One of the places to visit in Kyoto. Best to go during night time. The view here is amazing. It wasn't as crowded as I imagine. Easy to navigate through the area. Ticket was bought at the ticket booth downstairs. There were plenty of food places there. Can grab a quick bite or meal before going up the tower.
There is also a souvenir shop. Gachapon machines were also place at the area. I managed to buy some cool collectibles. The pricing for their souvenirs were ok. I was expecting it to be costly but they were not.

🎌 Enchanting Kyoto: Top Must-See Spots 🏯✨
Kyoto's charm never fades, and my journey through its historic streets and breathtaking landmarks was nothing short of magical. Here's a snapshot of the attractions that stole my heart!
🏰 Nijō Castle
541 Nijōjōchō, Nakagyo Ward, Kyoto
Step back into the shogun era at Nijō Castle! With its massive stone walls, serene gardens, and the 'nightingale' floors that chirp underfoot in the Ninomaru Palace (no pics, please!), it's a cultural treasure trove. Grab a Chinese guidebook at the entrance for a well-structured tour. Definitely a highlight of my Japan adventure!
⛩️ Fushimi Inari Taisha
68 Fukakusa Yabunouchicho, Fushimi-ku, Kyoto
A mesmerizing hike awaits at Fushimi Inari Taisha, lined with countless torii gates. The further up you go, the fewer the crowds and the more magnificent the gates. Pro tip: arrive before 9 AM for crowd-free photos. It's a spiritual journey that's both exhilarating and serene.
🗼 Kyoto Tower
721-1 Higashishiokoji-cho, Karasuma-dori Shichijo-sagaru, Shimogyo-ku, Kyoto
Kyoto Tower, right across from Kyoto Station, offers a dazzling view of the city, especially at night. While I skipped the ascent (Japan has many towers!), the area buzzes with great food spots and shopping centers like GU. The tower's unique collaborations, like with Hibike Euphonium, make for a musically enchanting experience.
🌊 Kamo River
Kamo River, Kyoto
Strolling along Kamo River is a Kyoto ritual for me. Whether it's watching eagles soar or ducks glide by, the river exudes tranquility. With lovely riverside shops and autumnal leaves that beckon passersby, it's the perfect spot for a leisurely walk or a picnic on the grassy banks.
🍁 Kiyomizu-dera Temple
1-294, Kiyomizu, Higashiyama-ku, Kyoto-shi, Kyoto
Rain or shine, Kiyomizu-dera Temple is a vision of beauty, with a backdrop of Kyoto city that's especially stunning in clear weather. The path leading up is a treasure trove of matcha and mochi delights. Despite some renovation works, the temple's charm and array of protective charms make it a must-visit.
🌉 Togetsukyo Bridge
1-5 Sagatenryuji Susukinobabacho, Ukyo Ward, Kyoto
A walk across Togetsukyo Bridge in Arashiyama is a tradition. Spanning the gentle Katsura River, the bridge offers panoramic views of the western hills. Despite the gusty winds that almost claimed my hat, the breathtaking vistas of red maples and lush mountains are unforgettable.
Kyoto, with its blend of history and nature, has left an indelible mark on my traveler's soul. I can't wait to return and uncover more of its secrets!

#2024wish Kyoto Tower offers an incredible view of Kyoto. There are two floors to explore which displays the magnitude of the city and free binoculars of all sizes to use. The binoculars enable you to see all the little nooks and crannies of Kyoto and it's worth spending time marvelling at the sites from afar. Highly recommend visiting Kyoto Tower. It is right next to the main station so it is extremely easy to get to.
I wish to go back here in 2024

Kyoto Tower: Skyline's Cultural Beacon
#weekendgetaways
Under the enchanting Saturday night sky, I found myself standing in awe before Kyoto Tower's illuminated silhouette. The city's ambient glow reflected in my eyes, creating a captivating scene. As the city buzzed with life, I marveled at the tower's graceful ascent into the darkness. With each passing moment, I sensed the pulse of Kyoto's ancient spirit blending seamlessly with the modern rhythm.
A gentle breeze carried the whispers of history, and the tower, like a guardian of time, stood tall against the backdrop of stars. Below, the city's lantern-lit streets painted a serene picture. Lost in the magic of the moment, I felt a profound connection to Kyoto's rich heritage and vibrant present. The tower became a beacon, guiding me through the city's narrative, a story written in lights and shadows against the canvas of that beautiful Saturday night.

Japanese-style homestay, a great place for leisure.
Accommodation location: located in the Ukyo Ward of Kyoto City, with very convenient transportation.
Homestay highlights:
■This is a very traditional Japanese-style inn, perfectly interpreting the Japanese wabi-sabi style, with every corner filled with a strong cinematic atmosphere.
▪The room is a traditional Japanese tatami mat room, and at night you sleep on a Japanese mattress that is very soft and comfortable.
The homestay has complete facilities and a wide range of seasonings in the kitchen. You can experience the Kyoto life in Japanese dramas here.
■Soaking in the bathtub surrounded by tiled cypress decoration is very comfortable, while the bathroom is equipped with modern high-tech devices and is very thoughtful.
Homestay experience:
You can feel the dedication and love that the landlord Shimo and Rika have put into the homestay, every corner is full of details.
The landlord is really enthusiastic and will introduce the best nearby attractions and restaurants to guests, and will also do their best to meet the needs of guests.
■I really love this traditional Japanese-style homestay, where I can experience the most local life in Kyoto. It's truly amazing.

Such scenes do not only exist in anime.
I found the real manga world in Landen Sakura Tunnel
The tall cherry trees next to the railway form a beautiful cherry blossom tunnel, and the brightly colored trams pass through the cherry blossoms, and then drive into the distance.
This kind of picture does not only exist in anime, there is such a dreamy scene beside a section of railway in Kansai Randen.
Destination Guide|Randian Cherry Blossom Tunnel
1 After arriving at Mingjing Station, walk towards the railway tracks from the alley behind the station, and then there will be 2-3 intersections where you can turn in. These places are good spots for taking pictures of the cherry blossom tunnel.
②There are shooting positions on both sides of the rails. If you are a photographer, you can walk around to find different positions.
③ When there is no tram passing by, you can take pictures of flowers. When there is a tram passing by, you must remember to start continuous shooting or record a small video, because Landian's train has only two carriages and will pass soon.
@When shooting, you can use the cherry blossoms as the foreground to shoot the train, so that the shots will have a more layered sense.
⑤The small train usually runs every 10 minutes, and there will be one trip on both sides. When you hear the sound of "clang" that prevents pedestrians from moving forward, the train will come soon.
⑥Landian small train is surrounded by quiet residential streets and alleys. There are occasional quiet and blooming cherry trees on the side of the road. It is a good choice to take pictures here, but remember not to disturb the residents. ⑦The terminal station of Randian, Kitano Hakubaimachi Station, is very close to Hirano Shrine, so if you have time, you can play together.
■Super practical tips
·Travel guide: If you want to experience the cherry blossom tunnel on the tram, you can get on the train at Mingzhang Station and head towards Kitano Baimei Town.
! If you want to take pictures of the cherry blossom tunnel in the car, you must remember to stand at the front or rear of the car.
Different from other trams, this train does not buy a ticket when you get on the train, but buy a ticket when you get off the train. If you have a card, you can just swipe the card~
Kyoto Station, seen Japan's most magnificent station, is also the largest shopping and dining center, and there is also Kyoto Tower, which is very beautiful! Outside the station, Kyoto's night cherry blossoms are incredibly beautiful.
Our last destination in Kyoto was the Kyoto Tower, hence the night time picture. This steel tower is said to be the tallest structure in Kyoto. It also has an observation deck, entrance fee is ¥770 for adults. The observatory deck provides a great view of the cityscape of Kyoto. Great view at night but I think the view is better in the morning.

Kyoto tower is known for giving grand views of the skyline and surrounding mountains, but it is also a grand view in itself. You can look up and see the tower as you enter and exit Kyoto Train Station. Helpful hint: For a good photo, go out of the central exit of the train station towards the bus stop.
