Day 1: Encountering the River of History On the first day, we visited the Railway Museum in Kyoto. This museum not only showcases the development of Japan's railways but also allows us to experience the charm of trains firsthand. Upon entering the museum, we were greeted by a variety of steam locomotives and modern trains, reminding me of past journeys. The classic steam locomotive, in particular, seemed to be telling stories of the past. We also participated in a simulated driving experience, navigating the train through various landscapes and feeling the thrill of the railway. In the afternoon, we enjoyed fragrant coffee at the museum's café, reminiscing about this unique historical experience. Day 2: Encountering Gourmet and Bustle On the second day, we headed to Osaka and arrived at the famous Dotonbori. The bustling atmosphere here was astonishing, with a plethora of delicious foods. We couldn't resist trying the local takoyaki and okonomiyaki, which were incredibly tasty. As night fell, the neon lights illuminated the river, creating a captivating scene. Walking along the riverside, we soaked in the lively atmosphere, feeling immensely joyful. Japan's Largest Railway Museum - Kyoto Railway Museum If you are a railway enthusiast, you must not miss the Kyoto Railway Museum. Formerly known as the 'Umekoji Steam Locomotive Depot' (which we will introduce another time), it was upgraded to a large museum in 2016. The area is larger than those in Omiya and Nagoya, and it offers a lot of knowledge and interactive experiences related to trains, helping visitors understand the importance of railways in Japan. For those who love steam trains, you can also buy tickets to ride one (although the travel distance is really short, steam trains generally only run on specific days and tickets are hard to get) and send it off back to the depot (a short time before closing), making it a great half-day experience.

The whole museum was super super large. I thought it would be almost the same for an hour or two, and the result was almost the same. ...In the pavilion, I actually came out from early morning to near dusk~ I have to sigh that the history and culture of the railway is also very worth seeing. The Kyoto Railway Museum has not been in operation for a long time.
