Paying respects to Prince of Chumphon Shrine
🏞 Laem Son On is located north of Laem Samila, shaded by sea pine trees. It is a beautiful viewpoint of Songkhla Lake, offering the closest and clearest view of Ko Nu. The area has seating for evening relaxation, making it a popular destination for leisure.
🏖 At the tip of the cape stands the Prince of Chumphon Shrine, built by the Thai Volunteer Defense Corps in the Sea, Songkhla Province, in collaboration with the Royal Thai Navy in 1987. It serves as a place for sailors to pay their respects before heading out to sea.
🐢 Additionally, Laem Son On features an exhibition pavilion about the Prince of Chumphon, a turtle pond maintained by the Royal Thai Navy,
🐉 and a Naga sculpture spouting water, a popular photo spot for tourists.
