- Transportation: To get to Oita from Fukuoka Airport, you can take a rapid train or a highway bus. The limited express Sonic train takes about 2.5 hours to reach Beppu. The highway bus from Hakata Bus Terminal or Fukuoka Airport takes about 2 hours and 20 minutes to reach Beppu Kitahama.
