A different kind of Thailand trip! Leisurely Koh Chang🌴
At 6:30 AM,
I bought a ticket for the government 999 bus from Bangkok Ekkamai Terminal to Koh Chang and took the 9:30 bus.
After taking a 6-hour bus ride to Koh Chang Ferry Pier and another 30-minute ferry ride, I arrived at Koh Chang with its blue ocean and beautiful scenery! When I arrived at my accommodation, I was greeted with an elephant towel, just like the elephant island, and my honeymoon memories came flooding back :)
After unpacking my luggage, I went to White Beach. Is the color of the ocean real? ㅠ
There were a lot of Westerners leisurely tanning, swimming, and kayaking!
I went back to my accommodation, went for a swim, and when I went out in the evening, there was a small night market. ㅎㅎ It felt more like a row of street vendors than a night market?!
The sunset at White Beach around 5-6 was really pretty!
And in the evening, White Beach had a variety of songs coming from the pubs on the beach side, and it was flashy but very leisurely,
Some pubs even had a great fire show around 8:30 or 9:00:)
The pub we went to was open around 9:00-9:30, so it was nice to be able to get a massage and have a cocktail while watching it:)
On the second day, we went snorkeling!
Before we went, we went to the resort for breakfast, and the restaurant was on the White Beach side, so we had breakfast with a great view:)
Isn't it really pretty?!
Snorkeling is a 4-island tour,
It costs about 800-950 baht, and the tour time is
8:00-5:00, including pick-up and drop-off!
I brought a waterproof bag to take underwater photos, and
I accidentally pressed the button on my phone, so it got locked for 4 hours and 30 minutes, and I couldn't take any pictures, but that's how much fun it was. ㅠㅠ
Snorkeling review
The first spot was deep, and I could see seaweed? Giant clams rather than tropical fish, the second spot had white sand, the third spot had tropical fish! (No Nemo, lol), the fourth spot...wasn't that great. ㅠㅠ
Anyway, I had fun touring while looking at the beautiful ocean!
On the third day,
I went on a motorcycle tour!
I went to Lonely Beach, which I saw while snorkeling,
and I went to a beach that a Korean restaurant owner recommended,
but there really weren't a single Asian person, they were all Westerners! ㅎㅎ
We went to local restaurants thanks to the motorcycle,
but I don't know the names because my husband went there ㅠㅠ
I'll write about them later ㅎㅎ
Anyway, they were all delicious, but I especially liked the Mexican tacos ㅎㅎ
Lastly, we went to a BBQ buffet for dinner, and we went to a Mukata and seafood buffet, but it was just okay... ㅎㅎ
Ah
The rental fee for motorcycles varies depending on the CC,
but for 125cc it's 200-250 baht,
and for the next one it's 300-350 baht
and for 150cc it's over 400 baht!
Hold on a second!
Don't rent a Kochang unless you're really good at riding bikes ㅠㅠ! My husband has that difficult motorized license and was also a member of a bike club, so he trusted me and rode, but he said that he really recognized the incredible height and steep slopes (this road) ㅋㅋㅋ
It might not feel real when I say this,
but when you arrive and ride the songtau?? you'll know ㅋㅋ
On the first day, I saw a truck lying down like a ray :)
Anyway, we spent 3 days in Koh Chang
and are now heading to Bangkok!ㅎㅎ
I wrote a long story about Koh Chang because I think we made really good memories :)
