Autumn and Kimono in Kiyamizudera Temple, Kyoto
Kiyomizudera (literally "Pure Water Temple") is one of UNESCO world heritage sites in Japan. Located in Kyoto, the temple is best known for its wooden stage, 13 meters above the hillside. I was lucky to visit this temple in autumn as it affords picturesque views of the numerous cherry and maple trees below the temple. The mix of colors surrounding the temple is exceptionally breathtaking.
It was a remarkable memory of visiting a celebrated temple in Japan as I also had an opportunity to dress up with a kimono and local make-up and hairstyle. There are many salons nearby the temple offering this opportunity. Taking photos with kimonos at the beautiful Kiyomizudera during fall made my short vacation in Japan worth remembering.

Kiyomizudera is best known for its wooden stage that juts out from its main hall, 13 meters above the hillside. The stage affords nice views of the numerous cherry and maple trees below that erupt in a sea of color in spring and fall, as well as of the city of Kyoto in the distance. The main hall, which together with the stage was built without the use of nails, houses the temple's primary object of worship, a small statue of the eleven faced, thousand armed Kannon.

Modelling in cold winter
Wearing kimono during winter in Kyoto was one of the most unforgettable moments. Especially when you hired a photographer to take pictures and when it was snowing. It was freezing cold but we had lots of fun. Good memories were made with laughter and shivered🥶#kyotokyoto #kimono #kiyomizudera

Iconic Kiyomizu-dera Temple in Kyoto
#wecreate #kyoto
Kyoto's UNESCO World Heritage site, Kiyomizu-dera Temple, also known as Pure Water Temple, was founded over 1200 years ago in the year 778. Lots of people visit the scenic Buddhist temple during the Cherry Blossom season & autumn for the viewing of the Sakura and autumn foliage.
Other highlights include the Kiyomizu Wooden Stage and the Otowa Falls, where people will queue to drink the pure spring water from one of the 3 water sprouts, hopefully to have success in longevity, love or academics.
