A Slow Day Out in Takamatsu – Sea Views, Cool Finds & Local Charm
#cityplaybook
Takamatsu is the kind of city that’s calm yet full of character. Right by the Seto Inland Sea, it’s perfect for an easygoing day of walking, shopping, and watching the world go by.
I started at the Takamatsu Symbol Tower, the tallest building in Shikoku. The views from the top were stunning—and even at the base, you’re treated to ocean breeze and an open, airy plaza.
Next door is Sunport, a seaside area that’s great for a stroll. Whether you’re into ship-watching or just want a peaceful spot to sit and relax, this is the place.
Later, I wandered over to Kitahama Alley, a collection of old warehouses transformed into trendy little shops and cafés. It’s quiet, stylish, and full of unique finds—definitely worth taking your time here.
Why I recommend Takamatsu:
・You get beautiful sea views, relaxed vibes, and cool shopping all in one walkable area
・It’s the perfect mix of modern design and local flavor
