In Kyoto, it's so refreshing to get up early and take photos of your life.
Before going to Kyoto, I saw on the Internet: Kyoto will reward every early riser! In order not to regret! In Kyoto for a few days, get up early every day, ready for the next day's walk!
The day I took the kimono👘, I got up at 4 o'clock! I made an appointment with the kimono shop one day in advance, and I specially chose a shop with a layer of men's kimono clothing. The styles are really many, and I chose a set with my friends.
At 5:30, I arrived at the popular spot of Yasaka Tower! We are the first to arrive! Once again, it's really worth getting up early!
After 6:30, there were more tourists. Continue to Sanqianyuan, and it was the first to arrive. I chose the best spot to take a picture of the courtyard. The kimono and Sanqianyuan are too suitable! Once again, it's worth getting up early❗️
Take a break and head to Kifune Shrine and Inari Shrine! 🍃The green of Kifune really heals all day! All the places worth visiting in Kyoto are checked in all day! To be honest, it's quite tiring! But it's really worth taking a photo of life, you really have to get up early!

Kifune Shrine: A Mysterious Ancient Temple Where You Can Feel the 'Blessings of the Deities'
Kifune Shrine, located in the outskirts of Kyoto in the town of Kibune, is one of Japan's three major water shrines, renowned for its mysterious and elegant atmosphere.
Ascending the steps marked by red torii gates and entering the shrine, you are surrounded by lush greenery and the gentle sound of flowing streams, as if stepping into a paradise. Walking along the serene paths, you can almost feel the protection and blessings of the deities. The most famous feature of Kifune Shrine is the Myojin Pond, a tranquil pond that reflects the surrounding mountains, offering a picturesque and enchanting view.
In addition to the natural scenery, there are many simple and ancient shrine buildings here, exuding a strong sense of mystery. Visiting Kifune Shrine, one can feel a transcendent spirituality, making it no wonder that this place has become a sacred site for many worshippers.

I never tire of visiting Kyoto, where each season offers a feast for the eyes!
The first time I went to Kyoto was during the maple leaf season. The Kinkaku-ji Temple, the Sagano Scenic Railway, and the Kiyomizu-dera Temple surrounded by a sea of red and green leaves left me in awe of Kyoto!
Last summer, I went to the Kifune Shrine just to try the flowing noodles. Although the line was too long and I didn't get to eat, I enjoyed water fortune-telling and soaked up plenty of negative ions.
This April, I came back to chase the cherry blossoms. Even though they weren't in full bloom, the weather was perfect as I strolled along. I enjoyed the seventy percent bloomed Yoshino cherry trees, a century-old Western-style restaurant, authentic sukiyaki, and more, satisfying both my eyes and taste buds. Indeed, Kyoto is my favorite place, without a doubt!

Less Popular (Crowd) Heaven
If you are looking for somewhere with the best scenery or instagramable photos with the least crowd, then this is the place for you.
It is located at the slightly Northern part of Kyoto City and it is on the hill. Thus, you might be able to see it snowing if the timing is right. (best photo if snowing). Too bad snowing ended weeks before I go, but still able to see some frozen snow on the ground/tree/roof, which made it a good view for photos as well.
It is slightly further away from the city yet it is reachable by public transport.
There were 4 of us, so we chose to take the cab, if you are solo or smaller group, just take the public transport with max 3 transfer only. Overall it should take 1 hr+/- to reach thr by public transport or 40min+/- by car.
It is extremely amazing when we reach there earlier, no crowd + cold weather with some snowman and snow'rabbit' on the ground. Good time to take photo without stranger (which we would hope to see it happen at all tourist spots) Restaurant were not open before 11am. There is one souvenir shop where you can have some light cookies and hot drink though.
It is a temple on the hill, where you can also pray, buy souvenir/amulet. One thing that is different from the rest is, you may pay 200 yen to get a paper and put it into the water for some fortune telling, the words will appear slowly on the paper after you put it into the water for a few seconds. There is a Qr code provided for translation as well. Such a unique experience.
evening time, you may see they lighthen up the lamp and it makes it even more stunning view. I left earlier for other destination so didn't make it to that moment. I suggest you to try it if you have time for that.
After finish, you can either take the shuttle bus (which is quite frequent), or slowly walk down from the temple to JR station, it takes maybe 20-30min but you will definitely see something different.
Name: kifunejinja shrine 贵船神社
Opening hours: 0600-1800 daily
Getting there:
find a way to get to Keihan line Demachiyanagi station, walk 2 min transfer to same station Eizan Line, and all the way until Kibuneguchi Station. Walk 20-30min to reach there, or take the shuttle bus to go up there.
Fee: free entrance

A Kyoto maple leaf guide recommended by locals.
The Kyoto maple leaf season has begun!
🍁Attractions:
Today I went to Kifune Shrine and Rurikoin Temple. To get to Kifune Shrine, you need to take the Eizan Electric Railway. The scenery along the railway is amazing. You can walk or take a bus to the shrine after getting off the train. This year, the weather is warm, so the maple leaves in Kyoto are turning red later than usual. The leaves at Kifune Shrine are relatively red!
🍁Guide:
You need to make a reservation in advance to visit Rurikoin Temple. Many people take photos at the table, which is a popular photo spot. The maple leaves haven't turned red yet, but the courtyard is beautiful and cleverly designed. It's worth a visit. The river nearby is also beautiful! You need to enjoy the journey, as there are many beautiful sights along the way.
🍁Time:
Today is November 24. The area around Kifune Shrine and Rurikoin Temple is worth a visit during the Kyoto maple leaf season.
calebcomet
A collection of maple viewing spots more beautiful than Rurikoin Temple.
If you visit Kyoto in the fall, and want to recommend a maple route 🍁, it must be:
1️⃣ Sanzen-in Temple
Sanzen-in Temple is located in the mountains and forests of northern Kyoto, and there are many ancient trees 🌲 in the temple. When the maple season comes 🍁, different kinds of maple trees present a variety of colors, and the scenery is breathtaking.
⏰: 09:00–17:00
🎫: JPY 700
2️⃣ Kifune Shrine
Located in the mountains of northern Kyoto, it is full of sacred atmosphere and is the head shrine of about 500 Kifune Shrines in Japan. It is a shrine for praying for rain and cooking, and also enshrines the god of marriage, which is very popular among young couples 😍
🍁 When you come to Kifune Shrine in autumn, don't forget to write your wish on a maple-shaped ema and hang it up ☺️
3️⃣ My favorite part of the Arashiyama trip is the Sagano Romantic Train! 🚂 The Arashiyama Romantic Train is a sightseeing train that runs along the Hozu River, where you can enjoy the cherry blossoms and fresh greenery in spring 🌸; the sound of cicadas in summer; the gorgeous maple leaves in autumn 🍁; the snow in winter, and the beauty of the Hozu River Valley in all four seasons.

Make a wish through the water!
It is a very new experience to use water to make the paper showing the fortune telling content, amazing and I hope it will be accurate 🤩. Highly recommend buying all the types of products because the key chain with wishes are so beautiful 😍

I'm glad I didn't listen to those who advised against it, almost missed the Kifune Shrine
🍃 There aren't many people at Sanzen-in, but it feels like it's only Chinese tourists and monks.
🚃 The Eizan Electric Railway is the same, the whole line is filled with Chinese conversations.
But it's very green, very beautiful, very relaxing, and my dear Kifune Shrine, really took my breath away.
⛩️ Maybe many years later, I will still remember, after climbing the mountain alone in the rain for forty minutes, seeing the small red torii gate with bright lanterns through the rain and fog, and remembering the fortune I asked for at the main shrine:
"Traveling, great benefits from afar"
I see, so those two steps I almost took to turn back, she stopped me, and just a turn ahead, I could see the lit, empty path on both sides, it felt like it was congratulating me for persevering to the top.
Sanzen-in and Kifune themselves are indeed very small, but the process of walking through the forest to reach the temple and shrine, I think should also be considered part of this journey. If you have the energy, climb all the way up from the Kifune train station, and after seeing the main shrine, don't forget to go up to see the middle shrine and the inner shrine.
Although many people say it's not as good as some temples in the city, some scenery and experiences can only be felt in the suburbs where there are more birds and beasts than people.
🚇 Transportation: Take bus 17 to Takaragaike, transfer to the Eizan Electric Railway, walk or take bus 33 to the main shrine, then walk up to the middle shrine and the inner shrine.

Whispers of the Gods: Kifune Shrine's Hidden Charm
#japantrip
Tucked away in Osaka's suburbs, Kifune Shrine is a hidden gem waiting to be discovered. My visit to this ancient Shinto shrine was a serene and enchanting experience. The tranquil forest setting, picturesque gardens, and graceful architecture transported me to a world of peace and contemplation. The shrine's mystical energy, vibrant orange torii gates, and sacred waterfalls created an unforgettable atmosphere. With its rich history, cultural significance, and natural beauty, Kifune Shrine is a must-visit destination for those seeking a genuine Japanese experience. This enchanting shrine whispered secrets of the gods, leaving me with a sense of wonder and awe.

A Tranquil Time at Kifune Shrine — The Hidden Waterscape of Kyoto in Summer
The finale of my four-day trip to Kyoto was reserved for Kifune Shrine.
It was a plan that had been shelved in 2019.
After four years, I finally set foot on this popular yet serene sacred land.
If it weren't for the pursuit of the taste of flowing water noodles,
I would suggest setting out at three in the afternoon.
Before the crowd gathers, freely press the shutter button
to capture this moment of tranquility.
Take the Keihan train or the No. 17 bus to Demachiyanagi,
then transfer to the Eizan Electric Railway heading for Kifune.
Outside the train window, the scenery is picturesque, and the atmosphere is perfect.
After arriving at Kibune-guchi, a short bus journey takes me to the front of the shrine.
Kifune Shrine may be small,
but you can walk through its entirety in just a few steps.
The Tanabata lighting from July to August each year
is a beautiful moment to hang wishes on bamboo branches and pray for dreams to come true.
Above the shrine, the path to the inner shrine beckons upwards.
A twenty-minute walk brings solitude and beautiful scenery with no one around.
By the stream, I lightly step on the spring water,
finding a hint of coolness in the heat of summer.
And that riverside dining, despite its steep price,
is an excellent way to experience Kyoto's summer.
For this popular restaurant,
you need to queue up for a number before three in the afternoon.
Be prepared to wait for three hours, just for that brief taste of deliciousness.
This trip to Kifune, though far,
is a place where the camera and soul resonate.
Every station of the Eizan Electric Railway is worth stopping at.
It's a private date with Kyoto's summer.
Although the possibility of revisiting is not high,
this memory will forever be cherished in my heart.

Encounter the first heavy snow in Kyoto in 2023.
Japan Kyoto
Encounter the first heavy snow in Kyoto in 2023.
Kyoto welcomed its first heavy snowfall of 2023, and with the snowy scenery, it's the perfect opportunity to go out and enjoy the view.
After a night of heavy snowfall, the ancient capital of a thousand years, dressed in silver, added a layer of quiet and solemn filter. Let's enjoy the beautiful picture of "Kyoto Snow" together.
On the snowy street of Changjie Slope, the roofs of temples and shrines are lined with white edges, adding a Zen atmosphere to the garden landscape. The gate of Cainan Temple bears the snow-laden branches, covering up the messy details and leaving only the simple buildings and a bright white. The snow-covered Guichuan Shrine, with its red approach, is the most beautiful scenery in winter Kyoto. From January to February each year, a romantic lighting event is held only on snowy Saturdays, where you can enjoy a dreamy snow light night view.
Today I will recommend a Japanese Kyoto homestay to everyone. Homestay name: Kyoto Machiya Cottage karigane9. Location: Shimono Shimomen-cho 52-2, Kita-ku, Kyoto, Japan.
Accommodation location: located in the Kamigyo Ward of Kyoto City, with very convenient transportation. Only a 1-minute walk from Daitoku-ji Temple, which is the best place to experience the combination of "Zen" culture and "Tea Ceremony". It is 1.8 kilometers away from Kinkaku-ji Temple.
Homestay highlights: This is a very traditional Japanese-style homestay, perfectly interpreting the Japanese-style quiet and lonely wind. Every corner is filled with thick movie paintings. The room is a traditional Japanese-style tatami mat. Sleeping on a Japanese-style mattress at night is very soft and comfortable. The homestay has complete living facilities, and the kitchen has a wide range of seasonings. Here, you can experience the life in Kyoto in Japanese dramas.
Cost-effectiveness: The price is around 1800RMB per night, and it can accommodate 5 people, only requiring an average of 400RMB per person.

Japan Travel | Kifune Shrine ⛩ in Kyoto for Seeking Marriage Fate
🏯 Kifune Shrine きふねじんじゃ
🌱Finally arrived at the Guichuan Shrine that I've been longing for.
It is said that this is the most effective place to seek a marriage partner, and what is sought here is not only a love life, but also a legend of lifelong happiness.
🌱Kifune Shrine is an ancient shrine located on the west side of Mount Kurama, north of Kyoto City, Kyoto Prefecture, Japan. It is the main shrine of Kifune Shrine and the main deity enshrined is the dragon god "Takao Kami" who controls rainfall and stops rain.
💕According to historical records, the famous poet of the Heian period, Izumi Shikibu, prayed here for her husband's cooled love to be rekindled. As a result, the Chikubu Shrine became famous for its enshrined god of matchmaking. The spiritual spring water fortune-telling slips in the shrine can reveal the fate of the person who draws them, and are popular among young women.
🔮Water divination
When you visit Guichuan Shrine, be sure to try the very special water divination. First, select a paper fortune from a stack of them, then place it in the water. The paper fortune will gradually reveal its text as it floats on the surface of the water, revealing the divination result.
Even if you don't know Japanese, you don't have to worry about not understanding the divination results. Just scan the QR code on the paper fortune slip and you can see the divination results translated into various languages.
🎟Ticket
Free 🆓, just purchase a divination request to get it.

Another shrine during my 2nd time in Kyoto was Kifune Shrine. This Shrine is a Shinto Shrine, designated as one of the Modern Systems of ranked Shinto Shrines. It is located in Sakyou-ku, Kyoto. My absolute favorite part of this shrine is the entrance staircase with pretty lanterns. Such a sight! I saw in pictures that this staircase looks good in Winter with Snow on them. I'll be sure to be back on a Winter to witness that.

Come to the Guishen Shrine in the summer and feel the charm of the Sichuan cuisine!
Summer's Guishen Shrine, although not as rich as other seasons, has a Sichuan cuisine that cannot be experienced in other seasons! Sitting on the river bed, eating hearty dishes, you can also experience the flowing water, which is absolutely exclusive to the summer of the ship's shrine!
Transportation: Take Kyoto Bus No. 17 to Ichigawa Ryu Station, transfer to Ruishan Tram to your port, and change bus No. 33 to the Guishen Shrine! It takes about 70 minutes in total, 810 yen!
Photo Guide: Summer Ships Shrine is not good to shoot, you can wear bright colors! There are a lot of red gods, so I suggest you can go to another entrance and shoot, and there will be fewer people!
Weya.
This time, Kansai travel friends and I recommended the Guiyang Shrine, and the long steps are especially beautiful. About an hour's drive from Kyoto, a bit far, so I have never had a chance before. Here is the water source of Kamogawa, the god of water worship in this palace, and the extremely popular water divination is also here. I want to focus on water divination: just put 200 yen, you can take one, then put it in the pool next to it, the sign will appear. However, you can also directly scan the QR code above, and there is a Chinese translation, which is really advanced. Ps

Take the Ruishan Electric Railway to the south and go to the mouth of your ship. There is still a distance from the Guishin Shrine, and you can take the bus directly to the entrance of the Guishen Shrine opposite the tram station. If you are in the daytime, you can also choose to walk, the scenery along the way is also very beautiful. Next to the road is the bleak river in the mountains. The red leaves extend from both sides to the distance, and the atmosphere of the maple can be felt. One of the most famous sights of your ship is the lamp. Before embarking on the stone ladder of the pilgrimage, you will first see a red building, which is the torii of the shrine. The torii at the entrance to each shrine in Japan is an enchantment that distinguishes the customs of the gods and people. From here on, it is to greet the lights. Stepping up the stairs, the red lights will light up at night, illuminating the red leaves on both sides of the road. The mysterious and majestic temperament in the darkness makes it possible for people who come to see the world of God. This is also the most famous of your ship. It is not the size of the shrine, there are many people, but the atmosphere created by this situation. In addition, your ship is also the source of the painting horse of various temples in Japan. There are two horses standing in front of the main hall of your ship. These two horses are the source of the shrines in all parts of Japan!
The dark horse and white horse of the Guishen Shrine symbolizes praying for the rain and the sun; in order to replace the real horse, the ship gradually becomes a horse on the wooden sign and then hangs in the designated place. The card is called "painting horse". Therefore, all of Japan, and only the painted horses of the Guishen Shrine can be bought home to commemorate.
From the road at the entrance of the Guishen Shrine, continue for 10 minutes to the mountain. It is the Ogiya and the association of the Guisho Shrine. There is also a red light channel here.
Maple.
I booked a private restaurant called "Restaurant Inn". From May to September each year, this restaurant will set up a table on the river bed, allowing guests to enjoy the cool breeze and gastronomic experience by the water. Except for the summer, the dishes are served indoors. There is a small courtyard in the restaurant, and you can enjoy the view of the small courtyard in the private room.
The fruit provided before the meal, but the award-winning Bojin reward, it is delicious and memorable. From the 15th of November to the end of March, the restaurant offers a limited edition of wild pork shabu-shabu dishes in winter. Three people have a large pot and smashed special small ingredients. The mutton beef has been eaten a lot. The wild boar is eaten for the first time. It is very characteristic and has a hot and delicious food. The cold season is very worthwhile. The happiness is born. Mango-flavored pudding, which seems to be egg yolk, is very refreshing after eating meat and eating pudding.
Mode of transportation: Walk about 11 minutes south from the ship to the shrine.
Arale_Zhang.
I believe that many people have seen photos of the Lantern Temple lanterns on the Internet, especially a night view of the snow, which is deeply imprinted in my mind. Your ship is beautiful all seasons, just a little more people paying homage. The
Golden Ship Shrine is dedicated to the sorghum gods who are in charge of the rain. In ancient times, the imperial court paid a dark horse to the Guishen Shrine during the drought, and paid a white horse or a red horse to the Guishen Shrine during the rainstorm. rain. This ritual of sacrificing horses gradually developed into a painted horse in later generations. The so-called painted horse is the small wooden sign in the picture. Each painted horse has its own shape. The temple will be made according to its own characteristics. Write your own wishes in the painting, and hang them in the temple to be able to convey to the gods. In the red leaf season, the painted horse of the Guishin Shrine has also become a red leaf shape. Come to the Royal Ship Shrine to enjoy the red leaves, the most beautiful scenery is on the way to the Palace of the Palace. The Austrian Palace and the Palace are dedicated to the gods of Gao. When we went, the square inside the Olympic Palace was a small market selling various small crafts.
Transportation: Take the Ruishan tram to the Guikoukou station and get off the bus and wait in line for the bus to your ship. Or you can walk to the Guishen Shrine in a 10-minute walk from the west gate of the roommate Nam Ma Temple.
Arale_Zhang.
Shrine of the Water God, the ship shrine. From the Ang Ma Temple, continue to the original woods of Muzhigen Road, and you can reach the Guishen Shrine in about an hour. I heard that the lights on both sides of the shrine's night view are beautiful. It is interesting to see the contents of the signature in the shrine's Lingquan watermark floating in the water. Unfortunately, the weather in December was too cold. The famous Sichuan cuisine on the river was gone. You can only taste the famous squid dishes of your ship. The set meal is placed in the bamboo basket. The squid is very crispy. Eating is too little. To leave from the Guishen Shrine, you can take a shuttle bus with a few local trains to the Ruishan Electric Railway Station or walk for about 35 minutes in the mountains to the electric railway station to return to the town, and then transfer back to Kyoto.
Sophia..
Today, I am giving you a small attraction in Kyoto, the most popular Japanese attraction on the ins: the Guishen Shrine, which has appeared many times in the "Conan Theatrical Edition - The Crossroads of the Labyrinth". Conan fans are familiar with this place. The ship in the Yin and Yang Division is also here.
Starting from the Tori, the long steps lined up with Zhu Hongs lights. When we arrived, it was 4 pm, the lights were still not bright, and it was 4 oclock. When the light is more, the lights will start to light up. It will be very beautiful when it is completely black after 5 days! Of course, there will be a lot of people! It takes patience to take a photo of no one in Figure 1.

hh/, Hakuba-cho, Sakyo-ku, Kyoto, Kyoto, Japan. Transportation: Take the tram to Ichigawa Ryu Station in the city, then turn to the Ruishan Tram to the Guikoukou Station (Ruishan Tram is below I want) The Maple Leaf Tunnel introduced is particularly beautiful. Transportation: From the Guisho Shrine, take the transit bus and get on the train at the Arashiyama Electric Railway Miyaguchi Station (out of the town) (h)
