Wakayama Cat Tram Must-See
Japan travel ✈️ almost missed a super niche Kansai itinerary, 🤔 I have to write for friends who like niche cultural experiences + food exploration, but worried about language communication!
——
🚗D1 Departure - Osaka
Direct flight from Shanghai to Kansai Airport (no direct flights can be used for destinations). To relieve the psychological pressure of friends with average language skills, the pick-up is a Chinese driver!
——
Then stay at a hotel in the Shinsaibashi area - there are too many good hotels in this area to count! The Ritz-Carlton, which is very close to the Michelin-starred restaurant Kikunoi, and the Hilton which is good value for money... I would personally be more inclined to the w hotel with the whole building in black! The hotel is located on the main street of Shinsaibashi, a 10-minute walk to Dotonbori, which is very convenient for shopping and eating.
——
🚗D2 Osaka-Wakayama
Here is a section of themed tram that you must experience! The carriage has many cat elements of painting and decoration, even the station manager is a cat, cute ~ 30 minutes drive can see the Japanese countryside style shrine, idyllic scenery, very "Kikujiro's Summer" feel!
——
Just outside the station is Wakayama landmark - Wakayama Castle Tenshoku! Then take our private Chinese guide bus, play Ji Mitsui Temple, seafood market tuna fish show, and various Japanese barbecue - after eating, go straight to the seaside Japanese hot spring inn to soak in the hot spring!
——
🚗D3-6 Koyasan-Nara-Kyoto
The niche game of an in-depth tour of Mount Koya is the dormitory! This temple is a representative of Japanese aesthetics + aristocratic life. It has a very high status, so you can't live with it if you have money
——
Play via Nara the next day! For lunch I would recommend going to a tea house and trying Yamato specialty food! Then go to Kyoto and check into a hotel! This time I chose Kyoto Four Seasons, the hotel is opposite the Kyoto National Museum, next door is Myoboji Temple, across the gate is Shin Hiji Shrine, walk to Kiyomizu Temple, and Sannizaka are very close - talking about this, you know why I chose this hotel!
——
The way to play in Kyoto is to visit ancient temples, eat traditional cuisine & Michelin! Ancient temple route I recommend Nanzenji Temple - Sanzen-in - Kibune Shrine - Arashiyama! The Kibune Shrine also has a cool lamp for lighting. In addition, you can also experience the summer-only Kawatoko cuisine. Arashiyama cruises, retro miniature trains, and Michelin-starred cuisine hidden among the mountains, and a century-old shop and confectionery making experience. At night you can go to Yasaka Shrine to watch the lighting
——
🚗D7-8 Uji-Osaka
Uji is not big, and in half a day you can finish the golden Byodo-in Temple, Ujikawaside, Vermilion Torii, and the addictive Matcha Dessert Street... No need to buy expensive tickets to feel the most authentic Japanese style, it is simply my ideal place to visit.
——
In the summer, Japan is very hot during the day, so we planned a night tour of the Osaka World Expo, where in addition to playing in the daytime venues, we can also see more beautiful light shows and drone shows! The next day, according to the return flight departing at 17:45, you can also go shopping in the Shinsaibashi/Dotonbori/Umeda shopping district~
