Kasama Inari Shrine, also known as Walnut Shimo Inari and Monzaburo Inari, is located in Kasama City, Ibaraki Prefecture. According to legend, it was founded in the 2nd year of the white pheasant (661), and it is also known as the three major Inari shrines in Japan together with the head shrine of the Inari Shrine, the Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine in ancient Kyoto and the Yutoku Inari Shrine in Saga Prefecture. Kasama Inari Shrine is an ancient shrine with a history of more than 1,350 years. Various flowers, plants and trees are widely planted in the shrine. In spring and summer, beautiful flowers accompany the ancient buildings. It is elegant and tranquil. It is one of the famous tourist attractions in Kasama City.
