[2025 Burqin Attraction] Travel Guide for Kanas River (Updated Apr)

From Urumqi we took a quick flight to kanas. it took about an hour to get there. After the usual Xinjiang police questionnaire we took a bus to kanas village area. We were offered a 400 rmb taxi but choose to take 35 rmb bus. Even the police were pushing the taxi. We landed at our hotel at 9:30pm. We headed out for food. The food is double the regular price in China so expect this. Also check if the hotel takes foreigners. The next day we got our Covid test. Be aware testing is from 9:30am -1pm. The line was about 30 minutes. The test appear in our health kit. We then took a shuttle to the lake area and it was straight forward from there. We walked most of the day and the sites were beautiful.
