The dining place is clean and you can choose to sit either in the air-con or normal tables. You can order the curry in three different sizes and it is served in a claypot, together with tofu skin, long beans, ladies finger, and cabbages. The addictive gravy is not spicy, and you can drink it on its own. You can choose either fish head or fish tail.

Finally doing a short review for google maps. Kam long serves up a hearty curry fish head or tail. There are 3 sizes to choose from as per menu photos. There is also a good variety of refreshing drinks to compliment the curry's taste. Used to be only 1 stall front but they have expanded next door with airconditioning and also selling new items like fruit juices, rojak and sotong kangkong. Curry is not too spicy for non-spicy takers. Some may take it as a soup even. Recommended to drench your rice with curry and add some dark soy sauce to enjoy thoroughly.

I have been eating here since a long time ago. Now the store is manned by the boss’s son and you can see him at the open concept kitchen cooking several claypots at a time. They are open from 8am onwards and it is the best time to avoid long queues. Many Singaporeans will come over here for breakfast when they enter Johor Bahru. They used to have more table seating upstairs. But now, they have managed to take over another store right beside them for expansion. This is great news, less waiting time for their fans. Their fish head goes by the size of the head, so it is perfectly ok to order a large fish head for 2 persons. #cherryblossom2024 We always come here to eat Curry Fish head and also buy takeaway back too. You can bring a reasonable amount of seafood into Singapore and this is allowed. We will add on our ingredients when we buy takeaway home. When we dine in, we will always order their fish tail as it is more meaty than the fish head. Now they have expanded their seating area, sharing the space with a snacks and drinks stall. So we can order side dishes while waiting for our curry fish head. This is a good idea and more customers can enter the restaurant too. If you come during peak hours then you have to stand in queue in person to wait for your turn.

Price per Person - 5.50 sgd/person Rating - 5/5 This is really the best curry fish head that we ever had. My family and I first tried it in 2018 and we’re hooked ever since then. Sadly, covid came along and we’re not able to enter JB. But thankfully, it finally opened up! For anyone that’s trying this, I’ll strongly recommend going for the fish tail instead as it has more meat. The meat is really fresh, the veg and gravy are awesome!
