【 Berlin 🇩🇪 Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church and The Berlin
[Berlin 🇩🇪 Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church and The Berlin Zoological Garden]
I took a bus from Berlin hauptbahnhof to the Zoological Garden.
✝️Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church
🏖️Atmosphere/Facilities: A church with blue glass block walls that Berliners liken to "compacts and lipsticks," and a church building that still bears the scars of air raids during World War II. I walked around the zoo during the day, and when I returned for the Friday evening service, a concert was being held on the organ, with Bach chorales and a selection of pieces by the performer. On this day, I listened to Mendelssohn's "Six Organ Sonatas" Op. 65.
📍Location: Breitscheidplatz, 10789 Berlin, Germany
🛴Europa Center and the square
🏖️Atmosphere/Facilities: A shopping mall with a retro atmosphere, featuring the world's largest running water clock built in the 1970s. Free hand washing facilities.
📍Location: Tauentzienstraße 9-12, 10789 Berlin, Germany
🐱 Berlin Zoological Garden, Aquarium Berlin
🏖️Atmosphere/Facilities: The world's oldest and most family-friendly zoo allows you to observe the natural behavior of animals kept in a large space, and it was worth visiting the diverse animals.
I think either the zoo or the aquarium is enough for one day.
📍Location: Hardenbergpl. 8, 10787 Berlin, Germany
🐟Aquarium Berlin
🏖️Atmosphere/Facilities: A very ordinary aquarium, located in an area with many Asian restaurants.
📍Location: Budapester Str. 32, 10787 Berlin, Germany
🏖️Atmosphere/Facilities: I avoided the Hertzalee overpass at Zoological Garden Station and the back of the Europa Center because there are few people and the atmosphere is not bright even during the day. I wouldn't use it unless I had to go to the library at the Technical University of Berlin.
Berlin is a city that changes quickly, but to get from Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church to Zoological Garden Station, I thought it would be best to walk along the business district from the church towards Kadewe, along a street with many shops and people.
