As my epic African adventure comes to a close, the desire for more sleep outweighs the zest for life. Early mornings in Kenya to spot wildlife and Mauritius for tranquil ocean views kept me sleep-deprived but exhilarated. Snorkeling at @jwmarriotmauritius made it all worth it. 🌅🌊 The huge trip around Africa is coming to an end. I want to sleep much more than I want to live. Because in Kenya you want to get up early every morning to see the animals before they get hot, and in Mauritius you want to get up early to see the fish before there are waves on the ocean. As a result, I slept an average of 4-5 hours. But the snorkeling at @jwmarriotmauritius was worth it. This photo was taken with a phone in salt water. The 138th of August has started. For some reason, the temperature is below zero and there are huge snowdrifts. But not everywhere! Mauritius has eternal summer and I would love to stay here forever, especially at @jwmarriottmauritius, but not this time. When you spend lavishly on travel, you might console yourself by thinking you could have had a child by now. But in my case, I'm both the child and the traveler, delighting in a 3-week escapade in Mauritius, especially when it's at @jwmarriottmauritius. Age knows no bounds here! 🌴💸 When I spend a lot of money on trips, I always console myself that at this age I could already have a child and I would spend everything on him. The heat in Mauritius is sweltering, forcing me to sleep with open windows and the company of 27 mosquitoes. However, at @jwmarriottmauritius, nestled on the Le Morne peninsula, where an underwater waterfall graces the southernmost tip of the island, the sea breeze keeps the pesky insects at bay. 🏝️🌞 It's so hot in here that I sleep with the windows open. And I can see how this post is now being liked by 27 mosquitoes. But they haven't looked at the geolocation yet, because @jwmarriottmauritius is in the best place in Mauritius - on the Le Morne peninsula, this is the southernmost point of the island and just the same place with an underwater waterfall. Here is the best beach and a fairly strong wind, so you can ride a kite, but the mosquitoes here are simply blown away. #JWMarriottMauritius #JWMarriott
