Historic buildings
In Fangcun, Guangzhou, there is a well-preserved ancient building complex of the Qing Dynasty - Julong Village. It is said that this ancient village with a history of more than 110 years is still inhabited by hundreds of men, women and children. The blue-brick house in Julong Village is built with a whole block of granite, and the gray carvings on the window lintels are painted with rich and auspicious patterns. The door of the big house is divided into several layers, from outside to inside, followed by the corner door, the gate, and the gate. The interior design of the buildings in Julong Village is similar. The hall is decorated with three screen doors. The wood carvings of many screens have faded from color due to age, but they have added a quaint elegance. The two sides of the hall are symmetrical on both sides, and four rooms are arranged on each side. There are five rooms on the second floor, and some colorful windows are embedded with poems. There are also several "oyster shell houses" in the alley, with blue bricks as pillars and oyster shells as walls. It is larger than the "oyster shell house" next to the school, with higher walls, almost two houses high. The difference is that the oyster shell house next to the school and even the pillars are built with oyster shells.
