The ancient town of Jiuzhou during the Yuan Dynasty, with landscapes rivaling Guilin and a climate like Kunming!
Located south of Jingxi City, Jingxi County, Baise, Guangxi, there is an ancient town of Jiuzhou that was established during the Zhizheng years of the Yuan Dynasty. During the Chenghua years of the Ming Dynasty, Anshunzhou moved to Adab (which is today's Anshun City), simply known as 'Jiuzhou'.
The ancient city walls, ancient post roads, ancient sites, ancient tombs and other cultural relics all reflect the rich historical and cultural heritage of the ancient town.
The historical layout of the streets and alleys of Jiuzhou Ancient Town is well preserved. More than 20 ancient streets and alleys such as East, West, South and North Streets, Zhongjia Lane, Qidaokan, Dayamen Lane, etc., crisscross here, with traditional residential buildings such as Wanshou Palace, Qingyuan Palace, Chenghuang Temple, etc., distributed on both sides of the streets and alleys.
Walking along the ancient town, you can hear the gurgling water. The water flows from the old well at the east gate, the water is clear and sweet, and today, local residents still go to the well to fetch water, it has always been an indispensable water source for making tea in the ancient town.
On the street, you can see wooden houses everywhere, layered stone courtyard walls, lush plants, and elegant brick-wood houses on both sides of the street constitute the ancient architectural style of Jiuzhou.
The ancient town of Jiuzhou is built by the water and surrounded by mountains, 'the landscape is as good as Guilin, and the climate is like Kunming'. The ancient town has many cultural relics and is also known as the 'living museum of the Zhuang nationality'. As soon as you enter the ancient town, an ancient style comes to your face. The green mountains in front of you and the bamboo rafts floating on the river surface reflect each other, plus the misty water vapor, it seems to be a splash-ink landscape painting in front of you.
Walking on the small road of the ancient city, on both sides are two-story small buildings in gray and green, every household has the door open, and there are green plants and flowers at the door, which looks bright and warm.
Wenchang Pavilion is a very representative scenic spot. It is an ancient building with a history of nearly 200 years. The three-story ancient pavilion stands in the middle of Goose Spring River, and a horizontal bridge connects the pavilion with the river bank. The overall shape of the pavilion is very unique and very attractive. The shape of the windows on each floor is different. From bottom to top, it changes from an ellipse to a circle, like the small bubbles coming out of the chimney in a child's crayon painting; the curved eaves are like small bull horns, coupled with the red lanterns hanging around, lively and cute.
Wenchang Pavilion also has the reputation of being prosperous in geomancy. Behind it is Flame Mountain, and at its feet is Goose Spring River, with green mountains and green water.
Although it is not as prosperous as Wujing Ancient Town, nor as brilliant as Phoenix Ancient Town, it has its own tranquility and ease, restrained and introverted, like a girl who has not left the cabinet. Coming here, counting the flowers blooming and falling in the corner of the wall, watching the clouds rolling in the sky, comfortable and free. This is Jiuzhou Ancient City in Guangxi!
The place worth checking in is the thousand-acre flower sea at the foot of Dongshan. Not only are there large fields of sunflowers, but also various ornamental plants.
Taking pictures on the ridge, occasionally butterflies and bees will fly into the lens, lively and natural, a casual shot is a big scene! Jiuzhou Ancient Town is also known as the 'Town of Chinese Hydrangea'. Almost all men, women, and children in the town can do this craft. Walking on the road, you will often see a few old grandmothers sitting at the door of the house, holding needles and threads in their hands, talking about family affairs, and the dog is sleeping next to them, a state of peace and tranquility.
If you want to buy a hydrangea as a souvenir, you must go to 'Hydrangea Style Street'. There are many locals selling hydrangeas here, small and light, beautifully made, and you can't go wrong with any choice!
【Transportation】:
It is not very convenient from Anshun West High-speed Railway Station to Jiuzhou. There is no direct bus. You need to go to the East Bus Station to take a bus, and a Didi ride costs about 100 yuan.
【Environment】:
The whole Jiuzhou is not very big, and the ancient town is also very small, but many of them are protected buildings, full of historical sense, and the red lanterns are lit up at night.
【Food】:
Ice pulp, wrapped powder, small wrap roll, fried potatoes are really delicious!
A random wrap powder on the roadside is very tough, coupled with the special sour soup, it is too appetizing.
【Accommodation】:
Book before the holiday is just over 100, usually cheaper, there are guest houses and homestays. It's almost two days of play.
