I had imagined countless times how beautiful Jiuzhaigou would be in autumn. When I finally embarked on this high-speed rail journey, I truly experienced its breathtaking beauty. 😍 As the high-speed rail sped forward, my heart grew more and more excited. The scenery outside the window changed constantly, as if warming up for the upcoming beauty. When the train slowly pulled into Jiuzhaigou Station, I couldn't wait to get off. The fresh air hit my face, and at that moment, I knew that an unforgettable journey had begun. Autumn in Jiuzhaigou is truly a masterpiece of nature. The colorful leaves are like an overturned palette, with fiery reds, golden yellows, and jade greens. The azure lake water shimmers like a gem under the sun, and the distant snow-capped mountains stand in stark contrast to the colorful autumn scenery. Walking along the plank road, listening to the gurgling water, and feeling the autumn wind caress my face, I felt like I was in a fairyland. 💖 Here is my guide to traveling to Jiuzhaigou by high-speed rail in autumn. 👇 1. Departing from Chengdu by high-speed rail🚅 The earliest train is at 6:45 AM, and the latest one is at 6:36 PM. Ticket prices range from 120 to 140 yuan. So, if we go on the weekend and stay for just two days, we will have enough time. Upon arriving at Jiuzhai Huanglong High-Speed Rail Station, you will be in Chuanzhusi. From there, it takes only an hour and a half by car🚌 to reach Jiuzhaigou, which is very convenient👍. If you take a small car, it might be even faster. The bus ticket costs just a few dozen yuan, and for less than 200 yuan, you can reach Jiuzhaigou. 🟣Songpan Ancient City can also be explored for a day, which is ideal for those with more time, as well as Chuanzhusi. If you take the morning high-speed rail to Jiuzhaigou, entering the park on the same day is no problem. You can tour for about six hours, which is enough to see everything. 🟢You can also visit the Huanglong Scenic Area on the same day. Remember to buy a sightseeing bus ticket in advance; otherwise, you will have to walk for an hour to get up there, which can increase altitude sickness. When touring Huanglong, you must walk down because the scenery is beautiful and not to be missed. So, the tour of Huanglong Scenic Area takes about four hours. The latest train from Jiuzhaigou to Chengdu is at 9:19 PM, arriving at Chengdu East Station at 11:00 PM. So, there is no need to worry; two days are enough to tour Jiuzhaigou and then the Huanglong Scenic Area. 🟣Accommodation: It is recommended to stay at the mouth of the valley or halfway up the mountain, which is relatively quieter and convenient for visiting Jiuzhaigou. During the day, Jiuzhaigou is almost empty as everyone goes into the scenic area. The most beautiful scenery is inside the park, and the 280 yuan ticket is well worth it. At night, there are many people strolling by the river, which is very relaxing. There are many Sichuan restaurants in the scenic area, as well as yak meat soup pots. Must go again once the high-speed rail is connected From Wuxi to Chengdu Tianfu, actually Tianfu Airport is not as demonized as said online, took the subway Line 18 at 5 pm, arrived at the hotel near Hongxingqiao Subway Station at 6 pm! Great location🉑, right out of the subway station, recommended for budget travelers! Chengdu citywalk is very convenient by subway~ Sanxingdui Museum: Take the high-speed train to Guanghan Station, a 15-minute taxi ride for 20 yuan (seems to be a fixed price) takes about 3 hours to tour, remember to buy tickets in advance for holidays!!!!!! Chengdu Giant Panda Base: Wanted to see the pandas, two hours was too rushed, just followed the crowd to see other pandas, caught a little one sleeping on the job Jiuzhaigou: Took the 10:30 am high-speed train to Zhenjiang Pass, booked a direct bus on Ctrip, arrived at Jiuzhaigou around 4 pm, took a taxi to the hotel (be sure to ask the price in advance, starting price of 15 for 1 kilometer), the hotel is located at the mouth of the valley, within walking distance, there's a McDonald's, Book also, the popular Tomato Yak Pot restaurant is nearby within walking distance, many people recommended it, no queue if you arrive early, but it's not particularly delicious (compared to the restaurant on the second day it's considered good) The next morning, went straight into the scenic area, there are buses inside, followed the route to visit, there are stops to take the bus, walked about 13 kilometers in total, must wear comfortable shoes!! The scenic area has everything it should have (here I want to complain about the Kudi, one cup sold for 35, I have never seen such expensive Kudi, I understand it's expensive in the scenic area~ but this is a bit too much, the neighboring Xuewang is only 1 yuan more expensive hahaha, long live Xuewang! On the third day, the return trip was still a direct bus from Ctrip, high-speed train from Zhenjiang Pass to Chengdu East, direct high-speed train from Chengdu East to Tianfu Airport, Chengdu East Station has transfer instructions, follow them for 5 minutes to the next train's ticket gate, Tianfu Airport exit is a 5-minute walk, directly to self-service check-in and baggage drop, go upstairs for security check, very fast! Jiuzhaigou has always been the most significant itinerary in Northwestern Sichuan tourism. Even during the dry season in April and May, there is a daily flow of up to ten thousand visitors, and from August to September, the peak season sees nearly forty thousand visitors per day due to the flow control, which is quite impressive 👍 The scenic area is shaped like a 'Y', with Nuorilang as the transportation hub. The facilities are well-developed; shuttle buses 🚌 will automatically decide to go left or right based on the day's visitor flow. Turning right, you can take the bus to the Arrow Bamboo Lake stop, pass by the Five Flower Lake, Pearl Lake, and then walk back to Nuorilang. The left route goes directly to the terminal station, Long Lake, and then you can walk back to the midpoint. Those with the energy can continue walking from Nuorilang all the way back to the entrance of the scenic area. Along the way, there will be vast expanses of reed marshes, paired with emerald-like lake waters, which are simply intoxicating. Jiuzhaigou_Jan 2024, it is truly breathtaking during winter. Jiuzhaigou Valley in winter is less pack and you will have better opportunity in taking nice pictures. The mountains and forests are wrapped in white, and the waterfall and lake surfaces are crystal clear and jade-like. Do allow yourself more time to take pictures. It can be quite challenging for some so bring along a hiking stick, it may help😊. Tips: Jiuzhaigou have its uniqueness no matter which season you choose to visit: Spring and summer are covered with greens, autumn is dyed red, green, yellow and a touch of blue. Winter is covered with white snow, a fairyland on earth! Note: It has an altitude of over 4800 meters above sea levels. Some might experience altitude sickness. It is best to have a good rest a night before or you may also consider altitude sickness pills before visiting. Due to climate changed, I didn’t have the opportunity to see it cover with snow. 九寨沟 (JiuZhaiGou) Mythical Valley

The trip to JiuZhaiGou Scenic and Historic Interest Area was a magical and unforgettable experience. We started off from the city of 成都 (Chengdu) where we took an 8 hour bus ride from the 新南门车站 (New South Gate Bus Station). On the way there, we were treated to a mix of Chinese and Tibetian landscape with deep valleys and Buddhist temples adorning the side of the road. When we got to the scenic area, clear blue skys and imposong snow-capped mountains greeted us. The alpine scent of towering evergreens mingles with the crisp mountain air enveloping the senses. The sight of pure, glacial streams and crystal clear lakes reflecting the natural landscape paints a picturesque masterpiece. Making for a truly unforgettable trip. I reccomend you allocate at least 2 days to explore the region as you can also visit 黄龙 (HuangLong) situated nearby which boasts of colorful travertine pools. There are also many small places of interest nearby that you may want to allocated an additional day to visiting. You should also account for the time spent travelling by bus as the ride will take up a full day (2 days total to and fro). If you wish to save time, flying directly to the airport at JiuZhaiGou is an option you can take. Lastly, I wish you safe travels and I hope you enjoy your trip to the Mysterious Valley JiuZhaiGou!
