I prefer this super niche treasure garden over the well-known Suzhou Humble Administrator's Garden
When it comes to Suzhou, what I think it's most abundant in is garden attractions, like the most representative Humble Administrator's Garden, Lingering Garden, Lion Grove Garden, etc. However, the Jingsi Garden, which is known as 'the finest garden in the south of the Yangtze River,' is still little known!

📣Introduction to Jingsi Garden
This garden is quite young, founded in 1993 and took 10 years to complete. It is a private garden of the entrepreneur Mr. Chen Jinggen, covering more than one hundred acres. The name 'Jingsi' means to think quietly and far. The architecture in the garden follows the cultural context of classical Suzhou gardens. It has the delicacy and uniqueness of Suzhou gardens, as well as the grandeur of royal gardens!
❤️Main Attractions
1️⃣Qingyun Peak
Over nine meters high and weighing one hundred and thirty-six tons, it sets the Guinness record for Lingbi stone and is also the treasure of Jingsi Garden. Formed by volcanic magma that cooled down 500 million years ago, from a distance, one cannot help but be amazed by the natural wonders!
2️⃣He Pavilion Bridge
This is also one of the important structures in Jingsi Garden, a waterscape area. Within the area, there are buildings such as Borrowed Red Pavilion, Three Ponds Mirroring the Moon, Little Pang Mountain, and Ruigui Fang. Every step reveals a new scene, and the splendid Suzhou aesthetics are stunningly beautiful!
3️⃣Ming and Qing Residences
The north-facing-south architectural complex follows the classical garden's principle of foundation, offering you a full appreciation of the deep and quiet houses with their elegant and serene ambiance.
🌟Tour Route
1️⃣Enter through the main gate of Jingsi Garden; the residential area is to the east of the garden, and the lake area is to the west. The treasure of the garden, 'Qingyun Peak,' is right beside the main gate to the east.
2️⃣The main buildings in the eastern part of Jingsi Garden are, from south to north, the entrance hall, sedan hall, and Jingyuan Hall. The He Pavilion Bridge in the southwest corner is a three-arch stone bridge with three pavilions on it, connected by eaves.
3️⃣Passing through the He Pavilion Bridge and along the corridor, you can see attractions such as Jiahui Hall, Hongya Hall, Wushi Mountain House, Baishi Pavilion, and Tianxiang Book House.
Additionally, about 3 kilometers from Jingsi Garden is Tongli Ancient Town, one of the six famous ancient towns in the south of the Yangtze River. If you are visiting Tongli Ancient Town, you can also stop by Jingsi Garden. It's very quiet here, and although the buildings are not very old, the scenery is absolutely beautiful, fully satisfying your fantasies of the misty and rainy Jiangnan region!
