Namcha Barwa is truly a sight that few are lucky enough to see. Even in winter, when the weather is at its best, I waited a full 5 days to witness the sunrise illuminating the golden mountain. Compared to the high price of Songtsam in Damba Village, Suosong Village offers a better view of Namcha Barwa, although Gyala Peri is not visible. The hotel prices here are also much cheaper. During my wait, I stayed in a few hotels here, and I feel that Room 406 at the Secluded Mountain Residence has the best view in Suosong Village, bar none. . I previously stayed at a Secluded Mountain Residence in Bomi, and I felt that it was superior to Songtsam Bomi in every aspect. Although the hardware at the Suosong location isn't as good, the location and view are truly exceptional! . 1. The first advantage is the completely unobstructed view. The hotel is built on a cliff, right next to the Yarlung Tsangpo Grand Canyon. On the Namcha Barwa side, there's only a peach forest and no other hotels, offering a very pristine view. On the Namcha Barwa side, there's a bathtub by the window, perfect for taking photos. The other side offers views of snow-capped mountains such as Rishen Mountain. It's a 270-degree panoramic view. Currently, the right side is unobstructed, but they're laying the foundation for a new building downstairs, so that might change in the future. . 3. The hotel has its own large courtyard with a parking lot in front. You can see the main peak of Namcha Barwa as soon as you enter the gate. There's also a pool in the courtyard where you can capture reflections. The popular tent and coffee truck are just a short walk away, as are the big rock and the riverside. . 4. The price is relatively affordable. Compared to more expensive hotels in Suosong Village, such as Pingcuo Kangsang and Peach Blossom Charm, it offers a better view at a lower price for similar rooms. . 5. The rooms are quite spacious and well-equipped. The cabinet air conditioner provides powerful heating. There are three corner rooms like this, and naturally, the higher the floor, the better. . 6. There's a viewing platform on the 5th floor of the guest room building with a roof but no glass, making it more comfortable to shoot time-lapses without worrying about people getting in the way.
