Wuhan Holiday Travel Guide, a must-read for your first visit to Wuhan
Don’t take detours when traveling to Wuhan during the National Day holiday.
The Wuhan travel guide compiled by Wuhan locals who stayed up late will take you to avoid detours~
On the first day, you can stroll along Liangdao Street. After eating, walk to Tanhualin and take photos. After shopping, you can go through the University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, return to Liangdao Street, take the bus for one stop and you will arrive at Simenkou, where you can continue shopping and eating. Then you will reach the riverside and take the ferry to cross the river to Hankou for 1.8 yuan. Jianghan Road is right after you get off the boat. Follow Jianghan Road to the water tower. Jianghan Road is a place where young people gather. It is a large place and you can always find surprises in its small streets and alleys. By the way, if you don’t cross the river at Simenkou, you can go to the Yellow Crane Tower. There is a staircase under the Yangtze River Bridge that can lead you directly up. The Yellow Crane Tower is a 5A-level scenic spot, but it is a modern building with a steel structure. However, when you reach the top, you can overlook the three towns of Wuhan, and the view is actually quite good. There is also a light show at night. The next day, as someone who has walked around the West Lake in Hangzhou, I sincerely feel that the East Lake may lack in cultural heritage, but its scenery is not inferior. If you get up early in the morning, you can go to Lingbo Gate to watch the sunrise. Lingbo Gate is a side gate of Wuhan University. After watching the sunrise, you can go around Wuhan University, and then you can go out from the main gate of Wuhan University and go to Guangba Road to eat something. There is a lot of food near the university. After eating, we took a bus to Donghu Lake. East Lake is very big, much bigger than West Lake. Don’t expect to measure the area on foot; you can rent bicycles on the East Lake Greenway. Then there are several scenic spots, including Moshan, Botanical Garden, Luoyan Island, and Bird World. You can choose one or two to visit. You can go to the Cherry Garden during the cherry blossom season, which is much more impressive than the Cherry Blossom Avenue at Wuhan University. You can spend a whole day at Donghu Lake. Day 3: If you want to experience the commercial atmosphere of a big city, you can go to Wuhan-Guangzhou Railway Station in Hankou, where high-end brands gather and there is also a Plaza 66 behind it, which offers food, drink and entertainment. If you are tired, you can go to Zhongshan Park across the street to take a rest. If you’re hungry, take the bus one stop to Wansongyuan Road for dinner. Day 4: There is a Wuhan Tiandi in Hankou, which is also a large business district next to the river and the place where houses are the most expensive in Wuhan. There is also food, drink and entertainment. The nearby Liberation Park is large and quiet. If you have the energy, the Gude Temple is nearby and you can go for a visit. However, the Gude Temple is now very popular on the Internet and there are many people there. If you don’t go to Jiefang Park, you can walk to Hankou River Beach from Wuhan Tiandi. It’s very long and you can stroll there for a long time. This year Wuhan opened a mall that is said to be the largest in Asia, Dream Mall. You can take Metro Line 2 to Baotong Temple Station. It's very big. I've only been there once and it's so huge. It's just a big shopping mall, nothing special. I recommend everyone to visit Baotong Temple across the road from Dream Mall. The ticket price seems to be ten yuan. There is a tower on top, which was built in the Yuan Dynasty. You can enter the tower by paying another 2 yuan. The stairs are narrow, which I think is a good experience. 2 dollars of happiness. Everyone from Hubei knows about Wuhan’s transportation. Motorcycles are prohibited in the urban area of Wuhan, but electric bikes are allowed. However, many sections of the road do not have dedicated non-motorized vehicle lanes, so many electric bikes are ridden on the motor vehicle lanes, which is very dangerous. So it is most convenient for everyone to take public transportation. That’s all I can think of for now, hope this helps. If you don't understand something, you can ask questions.
