Jibei Island|The most charming island in the North Sea of Penghu
#MarchGoodPlaces2025
One of the things I look forward to most during my visit to Penghu is taking a boat to Jibe Island. In the morning we set out from Penghu North Sea Visitor Center and boarded the 10:30 boat. The weather was great, the sea was calm, the sun was shining on the water, and our mood was great.
It takes about 20 minutes to reach Jibei, and you can feel the fresh air of the island as soon as you get off the boat. Our first stop was to rent a scooter, planning to spend half a day exploring the island. Jibei is really not big. It takes less than an hour to ride around it slowly by bike, but the scenery along the way makes you want to stop again and again.
The most amazing thing is of course the "Sand Tail" in Jibei! The long and narrow white sand beach extending into the sea is so dreamy, and the sea water is layered blue, like walking into a postcard of the Maldives. There were not many people that day and the sea breeze was cool, which was really suitable for relaxing or taking beautiful photos.
We also experienced water activities such as snorkeling and banana boat. Although it was a bit tiring, it was super enjoyable. For lunch, we had seafood fried noodles and fried squid at a small shop on the island. They were fresh, tasty and reasonably priced.
When I took the boat back to Penghu Island in the evening, I was sunburned all over, but my heart was full of beautiful memories. Jibei is an island with both natural beauty and a good place for relaxation and fun. If you come to Penghu, it is worth spending a day here to experience the different island style.
