There is a 270-meter-long stele gallery in the park, inlaid with nearly 100 inscriptions by famous calligraphers and painters from past dynasties. ♻️Dragon Boat Festival Altar Walking from the greenway around Nanhu Lake to the small islands in the lake, located to the north of Yuanzhu Bridge is the Nanhu Dragon Boat Festival Altar, which was built in 2010. It is a five-part circular waterside pavilion with a diameter of 40 meters and 4 steps. In the center is a three-dimensional sculpture of a dragon playing with a pearl. It is one of the places where sacrificial activities are held during the Dragon Boat Festival Folk Culture Festival. ♻️Success Embankment There is an independent embankment bridge connected to the island of the Dragon Boat Festival Altar, called Chenggong Embankment, which is like a green ribbon surrounding the shore of South Lake and connecting the islands in the lake. ♻️Shaoyuan Walk from Chenggong Embankment back to the Greenway around Nanhu Lake and arrive at Shaoyuan Garden on the south side of Nanhu Lake. Shaoyuan was one of the famous gardens in Jiangnan during the late Ming Dynasty. Wu Changshi, a famous writer and calligrapher in the Ming Dynasty, built a garden here. The water of South Lake is introduced into the garden, forming a smart waterscape. The night view is in the pool, making the Jiangnan water town and classical architecture intertwined. ♻️Hui Jing Yuan Next to the Shuizhiyi Pier on Nanxi West Road is the Huijing Garden, one of the main entrances to Nanhu Lake. It is located on the south bank of Nanhu Lake and is shaped like a peninsula. The park mainly includes Huangshi Zhaobi, Wanghu Tea House, Zuixian Tower, Hongling Corridor and Yanyu Bridge. It is an ecological park of Jiangnan classical gardens and ancient buildings that integrates tourism and leisure into the scenic area. In the evening, it is a good place for tourists to take a night walk by the lake to enjoy the scenery. After a night tour of Nanhu Lake, you can directly connect to Nanhu Tiandi from the Wannian Bridge in the southeast.
