Hangzhou is just an hour away, hiding this lesser-known romantic seaside town
Surrounding Hangzhou, there lies a treasure town filled with ancient streets and towns, numerous temples, and historic residences.
🌊 This place is not only ideal for watching the Qiantang tidal bore but also a holy site for admiring the late cherry blossoms in spring—Haining. Here are several spots to check in; if you prefer less crowded places during holidays, this is a great choice for a short trip!
✅ Haishen Temple
Referred to as the 'Forbidden City of the South,' its main hall is built in imitation of the Forbidden City's Hall of Supreme Harmony, with a grand and majestic structure that is quite rare in the southern regions. The temple's century-old history seems to bridge the past and present, solemn and mysterious.
✅ Tidal Bore Viewing Park
This is the top spot in Jiangsu and Zhejiang during the autumn season, where the roaring tides line up neatly, known as the 'Haining Pagoda Line Tidal Bore.' On regular days, there are many historical sites to visit, such as the fish scale stone ponds, the Ming Dynasty Zhan Ao Tower, and Sun Yat-sen's Tidal Bore Pavilion.
✅ Haining Yanguan Qiantang Cherry Blossom Forest
Besides historical sites, there is also a cherry blossom sanctuary by the sea, where vast cherry blossom forests bloom spectacularly, and late cherry blossoms flourish around Qingming Festival. During holidays, you can't miss the spring market and camping festival here, experiencing romance under the cherry trees.
✅ Yanguan Fragrant Grassland RV Campsite
If you want to experience camping without bringing equipment, you can stay directly in the campsite, where RVs are fully equipped, and you can enjoy delicious wild meals and barbecues.
🙌Tips1:
The cherry blossom forest here is very pristine, remember to take your trash with you when you leave.
🙌Tips2:
Be mindful of the wind by the sea and check the weather; sunny days offer a better experience.

Impression of Haining Yanguan
Yanguan is located in the southeast of Haining City, a town under the jurisdiction of Haining City, Jiaxing. Haining Yanguan is a thousand-year-old ancient city, more than 2200 years old.
According to historical records, the name of Yanguan began in the early Western Han Dynasty. King Liu Bi of Wu boiled the sea and sun-dried salt here, set up the salt official, hence the name.
Yanguan is a famous place for watching tides. Every year from the 15th to the 18th of the lunar August is the best time to watch the Qiantang River tide. Yanguan Ancient Town is located at the mouth of the Qiantang River, with a very superior geographical location, and the economy here is very developed. Yanguan Ancient Town is also a place where people are outstanding and the land is spiritual. Many historical celebrities come from here. My interest in Yanguan is not the tide that is famous all over the world, but the profound cultural heritage here.
Yanguan is the hometown of the famous modern scholar Wang Guowei. Wang Guowei is a rare genius, a famous master of Chinese studies during the Republic of China, and the last 'Imperial Teacher' in China. If you don't observe Wang Guowei's knowledge, you don't know the greatness of the master, the height of the mountain. His 'Three Realms Theory' is indescribable and beneficial. A hundred miles is not half, a song of the world. Mr. Jing'an is the master of Chinese studies I admire. Paying homage to his former residence is my purpose of coming to Yanguan. But unfortunately, it happened that Yanguan Ancient Town was being renovated and rectified, Wang Guowei's former residence was not open to the public, because of the transformation, the ancient town was basically in a semi-closed state, with few visitors. But there is a palace-style temple here, which is very eye-catching - Yanguan Sea God Temple.
About the Sea God Temple, there is still an unresolved royal legend. Out of curiosity and love for ancient architecture, I decided to buy a ticket and go in and explore... Shanghai, China.

The Tanah Lot Temple is also known as the "Temple Palace". The temple was built in the Qing Dynasty for eight years and consumes 100,000 yuan. Its structure is like the Palace Hall and the Hall of the Immortal Palace. It is a rare classical palace building in Jiangnan. Once destroyed in the arms, Guangxu rebuilt in eleven years. Only Qingcheng Bridge, Damen, Zhengdian, Shifang, Shishi, Yubei Pavilion and so on are preserved. The Tanah Lot covers an area of 40 acres, with a large scale and strict layout. The main buildings are distributed on three axes. The main axes are Qingcheng Bridge, Yimen Gate, Gate, Main Hall, Yubei Pavilion and Sleeping Hall. There is a white marble archway on both sides of the square in front of Yimen. The architecture of the atmosphere is similar to that of the Forbidden City in Beijing. Its main hall building is the most majestic, and it is constructed in the form of the Palace of the Taihe Temple. It is a palace building with a top-level palace. Built in the Qing Dynasty for eight years, the Tanah Lot Temple is known as the "Gangnam Forbidden City". It contains five pieces of the Imperial Emperor in the Qing Dynasty, and the two sons of Emperor Yongzheng and Qianlong. The legend also casts a layer of fog on the "righteous position". Tanah Lot, too many legends, too many stories, waiting for your arrival, I want you to tell me one by one.
