Jiahu Site is located in Jiahu Village, 1.5 kilometers southwest of Beiwudu Town, Wuyang County, Henan Province. It is an important site in the early Neolithic period in China. The protected area covers an area of 55,000 square meters. It was first discovered in the early 1960s. The Jiahu site is an earlier Neolithic cultural relic known to the Huaihe River Basin, providing a connection point connecting the Neolithic cultural relationship between the middle reaches of the Yellow River and the middle and lower reaches of the Huaihe River, reproducing the splendor of the upper Huaihe River 8,000 to 9,000 years ago. It is in harmony with the ancient culture of the two river basins in West Asia and the same period. In June 2001, the State Council identified it as the fifth batch of national key cultural relics protection units, and was identified as one of the 100 major archaeological discoveries in the country in the 20th century.
