Inside, the warm glow of candles and the peaceful ambiance provided a stark contrast to the somber weather outside, inviting us to pause and reflect. Despite the gloom, the cathedral radiated timeless beauty, making it a memorable stop during our visit to Jeonju.

Jeondong Catholic Church 51 Taejo-ro, Wansan-gu, Jeonju-si, Jeollabuk-do Located within Jeonju Hanok Village, this landmark and cultural heritage site is a must-visit in Jeonju. It is the first martyrdom site in Korea and the first Romanesque-style building in the Honam region, making it particularly significant. As it is a religious facility, entry is not permitted during mass times. Many visitors are unaware of this and miss the chance to see the interior.
