Jejumok Gwana Government Office
#koreatrip
This is the symbol of ruling Jekumok during the Jonseon Dynasty but also an important site of the history of Jeju. The place was used as a complex of major administrative buildings since Tamna Kingdom era. The original facilities were destroyed and demolished during the Japanese colonial period. Since 1991, they have made 4 excavation projects and the buildings reconstructed in 2002 and 2006. Nowadays, it shows how communication between people and government worked centuries ago. It is quite common to see local people traditionally dressed taking pictures at the place. The entrance is very cheap, less than 2 dollars. Very important while visiting to take your shoes off before entering the pavilions.
Anything travels
Experience the charm of Jeju Island, as if you were in a paradise
🏖️ In the scorching summer, escaping the busy city, I chose Jeju Island in South Korea as my vacation destination. This island, with its azure waters and spectacular natural scenery, brought me an unprecedented sense of tranquility and relaxation.
🚅 In Jeju Island, I experienced the Lincoln locomotive handcrafted by the British, took a ride in the primeval forest theme park, and felt the blend of nature and history. The unique pastoral scenery made me feel as if I was in a paradise.
👑 At Jeju Mokgwana, I delved into the history of Jeju and felt the solemnity and reverence at the center of Jeju Mok's rule during the Joseon Dynasty.
🎡 The Sinchang Windmill Coastal Road was the most stunning stop on my trip. The seascape under the setting sun was breathtakingly beautiful. The white windmill, captured through Gong Yoo's lens, appeared exceptionally romantic.
🌵 The cactus community in Woljeong-ri was a paradise on Jeju Island for me. There, with the azure sea, black volcanic rocks, and green cacti, it felt as if I was on an exotic planet.
☕ At Monsant Cafe, I tasted delicious coffee and exquisite surrounding merchandise, enjoying the peaceful and beautiful time.
🎨 This trip to Jeju Island allowed me to fully experience the charm of nature and the cultural heritage. Every inch of land and every piece of the ocean here left a deep impression on me. I look forward to setting foot on this beautiful land again, to feel its different charms throughout the seasons. 💕💕💕
