After landing, the collected seafood is placed in the water tank 🐚🦪🐙, and visitors can enjoy fresh seafood. I was lucky to see a sea girl picking octopus 🐙 and the whole audience applauded. 🌊 Jeju Island's famous blue jelly-like sea When staying at a hotel, it’s a must to choose one by the seaside. Imagine soaking in a bubble bath while enjoying the romantic sunrise and sunset. Highly recommend this hotel located near the airport. For April 2025, the price including tax is approximately HKD $1100. If you opt out of the bath amenities, the price becomes even more affordable. The rooms are spacious and clean, and transportation is very convenient. We took an early morning flight and easily hailed a taxi. Using Kaokao Taxi, you can even get a ride from remote farms—highly recommended! 👏🏼 Even at 11 PM in the city, we managed to get a taxi back to the hotel. The room is equipped with a curling iron and an LG Styler 😳—major bonus points! Although it’s near the airport, the rooms are surprisingly quiet, with no noticeable airplane noise 😯. I stayed for two nights and woke up naturally both mornings. There’s a self-operated convenience store downstairs, and the staff also serve as front desk personnel. If you’re arriving on a late-night flight, make sure to contact them in advance. Despite being by the seaside, the area is lively! The beginning of this trip was meat noodles. I went there ‘because I was hungry’ without any grand plans. But that one bowl changed the mood of the trip. Tender meat in rich pork broth, chewy noodles. Even if I eat it as a bibim or as a warm soup, it feels like my stomach is relieved. As I quietly slurp and eat, I thought that this is a luxury that can only be enjoyed in Jeju. After finishing the meal, I drove along the Aewol coastal road. Even when the sun is high in the sky, this road is always leisurely. The scenery of the blue sea and black basalt just passing by outside the window is healing. Here and there, I noticed cafes with a faint coffee aroma, but among them, a cafe called ‘Haejigae’ really stood out. The name itself already has a sunset in it. If you stop by around sunset, you can have a cup of coffee with the sky turning red across the sea. I sat by the window, ordered a soufflé, and looked at the sunlight spreading out, and it felt like time had stopped. When the sunset sets, Aewol is the most beautiful. I visited Jeju Island during the Qingming Festival holiday in April. The temperature was around 14°C, which was cool and comfortable overall. However, the coastal areas were quite windy and chilly, so I strongly recommend bringing a hat to keep warm. The cherry blossoms were nearing their end, so if you want to see both cherry blossoms and canola flowers, it's better to visit in late March. Among the places I visited, I highly recommend Gasi-ri, especially for those driving. The scenery along the way is stunning. Udo Island is also worth a visit.
