Booked flights to Seoul from Trip.com. It was nice that trip sends notifications to update flight status and other relevant Information. Among the many places explored, we also went to Busan to see Gamcheon Village, the macchu picchu of Korea, and Jagalchi market, the largest fish market. We also visited the largest Palace, Gyeongbokgung in Seoul, Nami Island, Petite France and Garden of the morning calm. Good first trip to korea!

Savoring the Sea: A True Local Experience at Busan's Jagalchi Market

**"Eating Like a Local: Fresh Seafood Feast at Busan's Jagalchi Market"**
One of my favorite experiences when visiting Busan is definitely savoring the fresh, raw seafood at Jagalchi Market. The market is a paradise for seafood lovers, with endless stalls offering everything from raw octopus (sannakji) and live abalone to an array of shellfish, including scallops, mussels, and sea urchins. The raw octopus, still wriggling on the plate, is an adventurous delicacy best eaten with a dipping sauce of sesame oil and salt, providing a burst of flavor and texture. The abalone, tender and briny, is often served raw or lightly grilled, highlighting its natural sweetness.
Vendors skillfully prepare the seafood on the spot, and many restaurants within the market will cook your purchases to order, whether grilled, steamed, or served raw in the traditional Korean way. Paired with spicy gochujang, garlic, and fresh vegetables, each bite feels like a celebration of the sea, making it an unforgettable way to eat like a true local.
The seafood goes so well with a bottle of soju, just like a scene out of a Korean drama. An ajuma even helped us grill the shellfish and cut them into bite-sized pieces, despite the language barrier. Her kindness, along with the freshness of the seafood, made it an unforgettable way to eat like a true local.

Jagalchi Seafood Market Busan 🦞🐟🐠🐚
#travellerswonderland
You don't have to look far, when looking for the freshest seafood in busan korea. Just head down to the lively Jagalchi seafood market and you will be wowed by the number of stalls at this market. Both inside and outside of the market, are lined with different seafood stalls selling their freshest and nicest seafood products. You can even buy the seafood and have it cooked right away on the 2nd floor of the market where there are restaurants that will help you do so.
Do expect to see lots of huge live abalone, clams, different types of shell fish, the unique sea pineapple, etc. Also, don't miss out on the top deck of the market where it is an observation deck. You see can see the sea port where fisherman's boats are locked and the pretty views of the open sea, right in front of the market. This place is worth a visit!

Escape from Shanghai on the Weekend: Busan, the Underrated Perfect Backyard
Korea is also known as the backyard of Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Shanghai, and now I've found the perfect choice for a weekend plus one day off: Busan! It's even more suitable for the working babies in Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Shanghai.
This severely underrated treasure of a small city is more beautiful and fun than Seoul, and has better food and shopping than Jeju Island, ah ah ah!
Highly recommended: 1 Delicious:
The spicy stir-fried octopus, pig's trotters, and other special delicacies are so delicious, especially the seafood! At the Jagalchi Seafood Market on the second floor, I had the super pretty and bouncy sashimi and king crab fried rice! So delicious that I will never forget it, ah ah ah! Outside the market, there is a very beautiful seascape with many seagulls. Good shopping:
The Shinsegae Department Store is super big and super nice to stroll around! Even for someone like me who doesn't have high material desires, I feel that at least half a day is needed to shop properly! Personally, I think it's better than the several 'dong' in Seoul~ The big luxury brands are quite a bit cheaper after tax refund, and they have more styles than in China. The local brand clothing really has a sense of design, and the makeup is very good to buy, especially the lip glazes and lipsticks. I regretted not buying a few more after returning home.

In the Korean version of 'Santorini' with the beloved Little Prince
Built by the sea and next to the mountains, the colorful village is known as the Korean 'Santorini'. The most popular attraction is the statue of the Little Prince and the Little Fox.
The Busan Marine Natural History Museum houses marine life from all around the world.

Long stretch of stores selling seafood for customers to pick. Post selection and payment for the selected seafood, customers can move up to level 2 segregated with seatings by different stores. The store shall assist with the cooking and of course it come with cost. Overall, the food freshness and experience is certainly worth making the trip👍

Jagachi Market (Awesome Seafood)
We took the train from Seoul to Busan and stayed 2 nights there. We visited Jagachi Market which is one of the popular and largest seafood market in Busan. we are super lucky to find a nice stall (ps see the stall number in one of the photos) who sold us king crabs and snow crabs at super reasonable price which we strongly recommend cause we are obviously not local as we cannot speak the language well. The store owner can speak simple English and we had seafood once a day there.
100% recommend to go to the stall, but feel free to look around.
