Flower viewing in Shikoku, Japan: Tokushima: magnolias, winter jasmine, and cherry blossoms in the mountains and forests
#花花#100 ways to travel
While traveling by car in Shikoku, we moved from Okubo Temple in Kagawa Prefecture to Iya Valley in Tokushima Prefecture. Unexpectedly, on the sparsely populated mountain forest trail, I actually spotted a sea of flowers on both sides, and the white and rosy "Yoshino Sakura", golden The bright yellow "jasmine flowers" and the pink and fragrant "magnolias" as big as a bowl, combined with the emerald blue stream, make it look like a fairyland!
Cherry blossoms are very common in the Japanese countryside, but this was the first time I saw such a huge and beautiful magnolia in the wild. Magnolia, also known as magnolia, has pink flowers, large and showy, like lotus blooming on a tree, with a faint fragrance. When not blooming, it is oval-shaped and blooms at the same time as cherry blossoms.
Although Tokushima Prefecture is very rural, the cherry blossoms are not as blooming as Japan's famous cherry blossom viewing spots. However, there are fewer crowds and it is easier to enjoy the flowers leisurely and take photos. In fact, it is not bad when you think about it.
