This Imperial War Museum is in the same door as another Imperial War Museum in London, echoing from the south to the north, welcoming tourists from afar, tracing the history of the British Empire's century-old war that has experienced ups and downs since the outbreak of the World War in 1914. The museum was completed in July 2002, and many advanced technological elements have been applied inside, including time-changing interior lighting, wall projections of war documentaries, etc., so that visitors can fully experience the feeling of "losing courage in war". Even aside from the commemorative significance of the museum itself, this building standing quietly by the river is the heartfelt work of world-class architect Daniel Libeskind. The solemn and simple design style also hides a metaphor for war trauma, making it Became a ready-made textbook for many Manchester architecture students.

The North Building of the IWM Museum in Manchester is a memorial museum for the Trafford Incident located in Greater Manchester, England. It is one of the representative works of deconstructive architecture. The building won the 2003 British Construction Industry Architecture Award, making Manchester famous. The exhibition hall is obviously much smaller, with only one floor, and it basically takes less than 2 hours to complete the entire visit. If you are a military enthusiast, this is a must-visit place

Explore the aftermath of war at the Imperial War Museum North.
Located at Salford Quays in Manchester, the Imperial War Museum North is a unique museum that focuses on the impact of war on people and society. The museum opened in 2002 and is open to the public. 📷
The exhibitions at IWM North not only showcase military equipment but also focus on the impact of war on the lives of ordinary people. The exhibits include precious memorabilia, personal photos, audio-visual materials, and oral histories from 20th and 21st-century conflicts. These exhibits vividly tell personal stories from the world wars and contemporary conflicts, showing how war profoundly changed people's lives.
🌟 Highlights:
The museum's immersive "Big Picture Show" is a major highlight. At regular intervals, the walls of the main exhibition hall become giant projection screens, showing images and sounds from war history, providing an immersive experience for visitors. (I was too busy experiencing it to take photos, so if you're interested, you should go and experience it for yourself. It's much better than photos!)
❤ Recommended reasons:
The museum is one of the most educational museums in the UK and is open to the public for free all year round. Its innovative exhibitions, stunning design, and unique perspective on war make it a must-see attraction in Manchester! It also reminds people of the value of peace!
🚉 Transportation:
Take the tram from Manchester Deansgate-Castlefield station (❌ not the train station, don't confuse it with the train station next door, the tram station is connected to the train station by a bridge) (Trafford Center line) to Imperial War Museum station, then walk to the museum. It's very convenient.
📝 Tips:
❗️ You can take photos, but please turn off the flash. 📸
❗️ The museum is free, and the exhibition hall is upstairs.
❗️ The museum has a café where you can rest if needed.
❗️ Please follow the rules and do not make loud noises.
❗️ Do not touch the exhibits.

The North of England’s war memorial
The Northern outpost of the imperial war museum in Salford Quays provides and insightful insight into conflicts that have taken place over the last couple of centuries.
Some of the fascinating exhibits on display here include a harrier jump jet, a Russian T-34 tank and part of the structure of the twin towers that was left following 9/11. Every hour the walls of the museum become a base for an hourly projection depicting scenes and stories from modern wars. #voyagevibes
