Turkiye,the land that has everything !

This was my 3rd time to Turkey since 2015 (I loved it here). People are polite and helpful, every state offers different kind of attractions, halal food and mosques are everywhere, cheap conversion rate (MYR to Turkish Lira) and yeah the list goes on each time I go there. Where to go if you ask? - Istanbul : Blue Mosque (free), Hagia Sophia (free),Ortakoy (must take ferry), Topkapi Palace (with a fee) and lots of museums. - Bursa : Koza Han & The Whirling Dervishes Show (comment if you want to know where I watched free show). -Antalya : Beautiful city with gorgeous waterfalls and beaches (with mountains at the back). -Kayseri : Skiing at an affordable fee at Mount Erciyes.City life was nice and very laidback. - Cappadocia : Amazing rock formations, I felt like in The Flinstones movie ! -Must try food : Kokorec (mussels), desserts and coffee/tea everywhere,Kizilkayalar Islak Hamburger (Taksim), Hamsi (fried anchovies), Sutlac (rice pudding), Iskender Kebap (delicious), Kunefe (MYR5 only),pide (boat pizza) and many more. #bucketlistreboot New Istanbul International airport very strict security checks before entering the check in areas . There are many shopping outlets available duty-free. I find the design is very nice and spacious. their own also many local restaurants and international restaurant available in the airport. Advice to come airport 3 to 4 hours earlier I see you will have more times to do the final minute shopping one can also get a mini main bazaar replica outlets in the airport.

Best Economy Airline?

In my opinion, out of the 13 airlines I have flown on this year, Turkish Airlines takes the best value for money and product in economy class. I paid SGD$1583.50 flying from Singapore to Prague via Istanbul and Munich to Sydney via Istanbul and Kuala Lumpur (codeshare with Malaysia Airlines). Seats came with both USB type A and type C charging outlets (which should be the standards today), loads of entertainment content, good seat pitch and lastly, great catering. By the way, the one drink you have to try on board is the sour cherry juice! It was amazing — and I bought plenty more when I was in Istanbul. Have you flown with #turkishairlines?

Not suitable PTT pass card!

Dear friend, Russian citizens and other tourists! Do not buy this TK Pass by PTT as it usable one way from IST airport to Gayrettepe only. Even use it backwards the same line not possible. Going down to the metro trains you will meet an automatic machines in row. You need yellow one selling you red colour Istanbul Kart (allows all kind of transport and shop purchase too). But that blue card on the pictures is selling at big machines as coffee machines. They are two sorts of cards: blue - for transport only. And another one red should contain account for shop purchases (maybe it is more useful). I failed with that and have it with 177 tyr balance left as a souvenir. #ptt #tkpass #istanbul

Starting my journey to Turkey.

It was my first time at Beijing Capital International Airport, where I took an Air China flight to Istanbul, Turkey. The flight took 11 hours, and Istanbul is 5 hours behind Beijing. Istanbul has a long history. It was founded in 668 BC and was a city-state of ancient Greece called Byzantium. It later became the capital of the Eastern Roman Empire and was renamed Constantinople in 330 AD. In 1453, it became the capital of the Ottoman Turkish Empire. After the capital was moved to Karachi, Istanbul remained an important city for Turkey's economy and culture. The current capital of Turkey is Ankara. The country has a total area of 783,600 square kilometers and a population of 85.37 million (2023). More than 80% of the population is Turkish, and about 15% is Kurdish. The country is divided into 81 provinces. The official language is Turkish, the main religion is Islam (Sunni), and the currency is the new Turkish lira. We used a visa on arrival. It was 8:00 in the morning in Istanbul, Turkey (13:00 Beijing time). It took more than an hour to get from the airport to the city by tourist bus, and there was a bit of traffic on the way. In the city, you can see that the entire city is built in a hilly area, with houses of varying heights. The streets and houses in the old city are a bit old.

No boring times for your Istanbul layover

I had a long layover in Istanbul. Even if i was just inside the airport I never got bored because there are lot of things that you can do there. First of all,there are a lot of restaurants and coffee shops to choose from for you Turkish coffee fix. High end shops also fill the airport if you feel like doing last minute shopping or just to get a little Istanbul souvenir. Second, they have the Istanbul Airport Museum which displays a comprehensive history of Turkiye. And lastly, there are a couple of hotels inside if you want to rest for a long time and have a bath. Over all, I can say that I will be more than happy if my future layovers will be in Istanbul.

We were met with a very pretty sunrise when we arrived at Istanbul Airport! It was the mid point of our flight to Switzerland, which was the destination for our trip! The aeroplane looked pretty good and the food was great too!
