[Nara Prefecture] Enjoy cherry blossoms in full bloom and Ishibutai Kofun!
This is one of Japan's largest stone chamber tombs, built by stacking 30 megaliths and believed to have been constructed in the 6th century. It is called Ishibutai (Stone Stage) because the top surface of the exposed ceiling stone is flat. In the spring, it is also a popular cherry blossom viewing spot in Nara. On the day of our visit, the cherry blossoms were in full bloom, so we enjoyed a beautiful cherry blossom viewing experience. Pets are allowed at Ishibutai Tomb as long as they are kept on a lead.
We also recommend this as a cherry blossom viewing spot where you can enjoy cherry blossom viewing with your pet.
