Located by the Yangtze River, the view is outstanding, and it's quiet in the midst of the hustle and bustle! The first InterContinental in Central China still stands out!
The InterContinental Wuhan, which opened in July 2016, is the first appearance of the InterContinental brand in Central China and the first InterContinental hotel in Hubei Province. The last time I stayed here was six years ago, and this time I found that many buildings around the hotel have been built, and the commercial circle is much more mature and rich than before. In addition to being the best hotel for business and exhibitions, it's actually not bad to stay here when traveling in Wuhan.
1. The hotel is located in Guobo New City, Hanyang District, Wuhan City, east of the Yangtze River, with Metro Line 6 nearby. It's within 20 minutes by car to attractions like Qingchuan Pavilion and Yellow Crane Tower, so it's convenient to travel. Besides, the hotel is quiet in the midst of the hustle and bustle, and it's quiet and comfortable to stay here without any noise;
2. The interior design of the hotel is themed on 'water', reflecting the dynamism of nature and water everywhere. Its soft curved architectural form also reveals the combination of the hardness and softness of water, and it blends perfectly with the 12 rectangular exhibition halls distributed in a circular pattern around the International Expo New City, showing a majestic momentum. In terms of design details and art decoration, you can see the shadow of water everywhere;
3. The lobby space is open and atmospheric, with a sense of solemn luxury. The chandelier above the head is like flowing water waves, shining with stars. The visual of the lobby extends to the all-day restaurant with a circular glass dome, and when you look up, you can see the charming light and shadow changes in the sky. The reception area is dominated by steady black, highlighting the elegant and luxurious style of the business hotel. The corridors of the public area are mainly high-quality stone and wood finishes, presenting a calm and noble style overall;
4. As the first InterContinental hotel in Central China, the room standard is quite good. The hotel has a total of 485 rooms & suites, all of which have open-view balconies with a wide view of the river, which is a highlight. The room area starts from 55 square meters, which is one of the best in the city, spacious and comfortable;
5. The catering is diverse and rich. Yuege Chinese Restaurant gathers traditional styles, integrates exquisite new Cantonese cuisine, Hubei cuisine and delicate Huaiyang cold dishes, and can take in the first-line river view. Han's all-day restaurant interprets the new concept of 'fusion of Chinese and Western cuisine', provides buffet and a la carte services, and currently offers buffet every night. While enjoying the food, diners can also enjoy the changing light and shadow of the sky through the glass dome, making the food journey unique. The lobby bar is filled with beautiful European style, and the afternoon tea price is affordable;
6. This time I stayed at the hotel, I also stayed at the Suite Holiday Hotel next to the InterContinental. This is the first Suite Holiday Hotel of the InterContinental Hotels Group in Wuhan, which opened at the end of 2021, and can be considered a new hotel. The Suite Holiday Hotel and the InterContinental are in the same building, but on the other side of the building, with a total of 473 rooms & suites, with a room area starting from 50 square meters, of which 87 suites come with a kitchen, equipped with cooking utensils, washing machine, refrigerator, etc., suitable for short-term or long-term business travelers. The room style is fresh and warm, the quality is also good, the price is half of the InterContinental, for budget-limited travelers, this one is very cost-effective. In terms of facilities, it has its own gym, and the pool is shared with the InterContinental. The restaurant has a Hi Bowl restaurant, presenting Southeast Asian flavors.
